Gotta think the Man of 1000 Masks might be a favorite to win this whole thing!

Gotta think the Man of 1000 Masks might be a favorite to win this whole thing! Definitely. I think Harley Race and Nick Bockwinkel will be his toughest tests in their bracket to make the final four.

Southeast Bracket Match 2
(1) Steve Williams (4 tokens) d. (32) Doug Gilbert (5 tokens)
Williams was not as dominant as the other #1 seeds. Gilbert pushes Williams to the limit and a frustrated Williams hits Gilbert with a Doctor Bomb outside the ring. The official of the match almost called for a disqualification warning Williams. Gilbert is unable to recover before the 10 count and Williams wins a tough match by Count Out.

Northwest Bracket Match 3
***Upset Alert***
(24) Gorgeous George (8 tokens) d. (9) Johnny Valentine (8 tokens)
Despite being busted open George picks up the win in what considered the best match in the tournament so far. The action went back and forth all match long. It should be noted that Cherie Dupre did get involved in the match which could have given George an advantage. George picks up the win by submission with a Spinning Toe Hold
George will face the winner of the Argentina Rocca/Ray Stevens match

Big win for George... Not a huge upset, imo... But, not surprised Cherie had to get involved either... Fun times!

Big win for George... Not a huge upset, imo... But, not surprised Cherie had to get involved either... Fun times! I agree. According to the ratings it's an upset, Valentine 38 and George 25. But in my prior promotions George has always had more success than Valentine. Thanks for following. Hope you're enjoying it as much as I am.
