It seemed like Gotch was going to end this early but Tillet recovered. A nasty bump to the outside of the ring was the start of the end for Gotch. Tillet continued to use his brute strength to overpower Gotch and finally made the pin following a body slam
Tillet will face (12) George Hackenschmidt in the next round
