Why not leave it May and see what happens at this point? Why delay it again if you are gonna put on DISNEY+ too?

Eternals (2021) Release Date: Nov 05, 2021
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) Release Date: Dec 17, 2021
Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness (2022) Release Date: Mar 25, 2022
Thor: Love And Thunder (2022) Release Date: May 06, 2022
Black Panther 2 (2022) Release Date: Jul 08, 2022
Captain Marvel 2 (2022) Release Date: Nov 11, 2022

Even though I now have Dis+, my BFF doesn't. She's also a WAY bigger ScarJo fan than I am. With that said, we may go see Black Widow in theaters anyway, especially if it's in July! There's a very comfortable small theater not too far away that has leather seats that recline! SO comfortable! The theater is re-opening next month, so I'm sure we will go see lots of movies there this summer (including Captain Marvel 2)! I will give my review of Black Widow once I've seen it. It looks pretty good so far! Todd C WTIC

I assume they are willing to do this because the other movies they have released on Disney+ have done well enough that this feels like a viable option to them. Plus, they are probably thinking that they have bigger Marvel movies coming that they don't want to be held up in order to make sure this falls in line where it should.

Cool. Disney+ still doesn't work half of the time... I have to pay for the service, but usually end up streaming on some jank ass site cause either the site crashes or the stream crashes. Yet they still want to charge more for premiers. Hard pass.
