Nice review of last night's action. I totally agree with your Lashley/Drew assessment - shocked they didn't let Drew go over.

I listened to this podcast last night while playing and posting my latest COTG results.
I also agree with you about McIntyre/Lashley. I was not completely shocked by the result since Lashley just won the title but I was thinking they would give McIntyre the chance to win the title in front of a live crowd at Wrestlemania since he was denied that last year and then possibly have Lashley regain the title at Backlash or sometime in the near future. But if McIntyre had to lose then at least he did not tap.
Overall I thought the first night of Wrestlemania was good.
I also watched alot of Indy wrestling the past few days. The most exciting moment for me was the appearance of Moxley at the end of Spring Break after Gage got the title back from RSP. GCW is coming to Las Vegas next month and Moxley lives here in Las Vegas so I think the main event for that show will be Gage vs Moxley based on what happened at Spring Break.

I felt remiss in not mentioning RSP and that moment. RSP was great all weekend and that match with Gage is on my to-watch list. I saw pics of the appearance by Moxley and I know it's a match they've both wanted for a while. I'm sure Jon's wife will love that one... Haha. Seriously, though, Mox is on another level. He just is.

I'll also add re: Lashley/McIntrye - in the context of the whole evening, the finish didn't really matter. But in the context of their feud and Drew's past 365 days plus your first live crowd in over a year... You have the heel go over with a weak finish? It didn't compute in the moment. And the finish... It was just off. The interference, if you can call it that, didn't work for me. But, again, in the context of the whole event... Vince got the babyface pop to kick the show off, really. He could afford to give away the easy pop on the Drew finish knowing what was coming in the main event. It's one of those odd moments that didn't work for me in the moment, but I can understand the motivations when looking at the whole.

I "loved" it in the regard that I didn't expect it. Agree. I’m a huge Lashley fan, too. I agree that the distraction from MVP was weak, but the finish was excellent.

I was hoping the other members of the hurt business were going to come out and help Drew since Lashley turned on them. But they come out and cause a distraction for Lashley to do what he did and win. Ending is hurt business back together

Agree that the 'distraction' wasn't the most impressive w/ Drew selling how focused and jumping out of his skin he was to get his hands on Bobby. Maybe it was Drew's reaction honestly as it was such an aside side glance to feel like he was 'really' distracted.
The thing that hurt the most for me was, the anticipation for the main event. As soon as the heel went over I knew 100% Bianca was going over in the Main Event based on how the show opened as I just couldn't imagine they send the crowd away not happy. That didn't make the match any worse it just showed their hand right out of the gate.
