The Pistons lost to the Bulls today but might have put out the youngest team this season. Their starters were between 19-22 and their oldest player was 25. If they keep developing and draft good next couple years they could be a force in later part of the decade. After next season they should free up a ton of cap space from Griffin and others. So if the team is competitive but a piece or two away they could be buyers in FA market.

Well, I’m excited about the draft lottery tonight. And I’ve been enjoying the playoffs since Lebron was eliminated.

YES! No.1 overall pick!!! I'm mad at myself as I forgot about the lottery. I was going to watch but maybe it's best I didn't. I might have jinxed them. Looks like the Pistons will be CC and The Riders. As I said they have a nice young team and this week proved it more. Saddiq Bey was voted to the All Rookie 1st team. He was one of only four rookies this year to have all 99 voters give him a 1st or 2nd team vote. Isaiah Stewart was voted to 2nd team. We have a nice young team with a bright future. On top of the top pick we have 3 picks in the second round. I'd like to see them try and use them to move back into the first round or trade for more picks down the road. |

It’s being reported the Pistons will take Cade Cunningham no.1 overall tonight. Thank goodness they didn’t get cute.

While some of the possible trades being talked about were enticing I am glad the stuck with their pick and took Cade.
I see that we traded Plumlee to open some cap space. Kind of bummed to see him leave but it was partly due to Stewart playing so good as a rookie and looking to be their starter at C going forward. It will be interesting to see if they use the money opened up to go sign a decent FA.

Wow not only did we get Cade but two of the best Big Ten players last year including the National Player of the Year. Oh and we got Thor.
This team will be most improved this coming season.
