Hmm, did I jink Jaden Ivey? I sure hope not. If the injury is bad, it is at least not VERY bad as he did walk off on his own power. But damn was he a beast in there before he rolled his ankle. Sacramento must have been watching him and thought they might have messed up by passing on him.

Nuts, I missed where the Pistons declined their team option on Luka Garza. It is a shame they could not find space for him on their roster as he was a solid guy off the bench with potential.

I wanted the Pistons to either draft someone in the last draft or bring in someone who could crash the boards and be a big rebounder. It is early but it seems Jalen Duren is that guy. Getting nice rebound numbers in limited play. Plus, he does not turn 19 till next month. He might be the next Rodman/Wallace.

I never want to see a Detroit team tank. I would lose interest in them so fast if they did. That being said, if a team like the Pistons are playing young guys and they go thru growing pains that lead to a lottery pick, so be it. If that happens this year and we win the lottery I would be ecstatic. It would mean we either draft the 7'4" monster from France OR if we think we have enough big men we could trade the pick for a slew of picks over the next few years so we can keep reloading as our young guys get better. It would make another horrible season bearable.

Bad news - Pistons lose again. Good news - Three of our guys had a double double and only one can legally celebrate with a beer. Their ages are 21, 20 and 18. Just need patience as our team is mostly college age guys with a few just a bit older and one starter who is up there in age but playing great.

Seeing Donovan Mitchell go off for 71, even if 20 was from a bunch of free throw attempts, just makes me think of what could have been. Utah took him with the 13th pick, just one after the Pistons took Luke Kennard. Sigh.

Hmm, I am starting to wonder about the Pistons. They trade away Bey for another big man? We have a pair of good, YOUNG, big men as it is. How many do we need?

Wiseman better show some value either for us on the court or in another trade. It looks to me like we could have had five 2nd round picks instead of Wiseman. I mean Golden State took Bey and traded him to Atlanta for the five picks. We could have just traded him to Atlanta ourselves and got those picks. Plus we would still have had Kevin Knox to either use or trade. I really feel this is a trade we will live to regret.

Well looks like the deal may not happen after all. It all depends if Golden State decides to finalize it or pass due to Payton not passing a physical.

As I see Killan Hayes struggle with another poor shooting night all I can think is what if. What if we had drafted Tyrese Haliburton instead of Hayes.
