I am calling to now. San Antonio will end up with the top overall pick and get Victor Wembanyama. Pretty sure that is how the NBA plans on scripting the Draft Lottery.

When you accept that its rigged, it makes it much easier.

I was not excited about the trade for James Wiseman, and he still needs work especially on his defense, but I see potential. ESPN pointed out he only had 3 double-doubles in 60 games with Golden State. In just 15 games with the Pistons, he has had 5.

Casey is out as our coach. www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/36135761/out-pistons-coach-dwane-casey-move-front-officeOn one hand I understand it and on the other I am disappointed. I was so happy when we signed him, but the potential never materialized. I hope we can bring in a coach who can start turning things around for us. Of course, a lot of the next few years hangs on the draft lottery and who we get out of this draft.

I rarely care about the draft lottery but I am looking forward to it this year. So much is on the line for the Pistons. Like everyone else there is a clear #1 that they would take if they get the top pick. Beyond that it is a bit of a mess IMO based on what they already have and what is available. If they win the lottery and get Wembanyama I think fans can expect great things from the Pistons over the next decade. Otherwise, who knows. Either way in 13 days we find out. Fingers crossed.

In just about an hour we will see if the Pistons make a HUGE jump with the draft of just a big step.

Nuts and bolts, nuts and bolts, we got screwed.
Bad enough not getting the top pick but we drop all the way down to 5th. Not only does that hurt our draft and future but it hurts our search for a coach. If we had the top pick we could have had our pick of coaches. Thank goodness that the Lions are getting better because our other Detroit franchise are dealing with mediocrity.

Yep. I figured they'd get it too for the same reason. If the NBA didn't want us to think it was rigged, they wouldn't make these obvious wins.

www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/37679765/heat-erik-spoelstra-play-best-thing-nba-last-decadeI find this interesting because I am not a fan of the play-in and one of the reasons is Miami. In the pre-play-in days they would have been the 7th seed. But thanks to the play-in they lost the first game and had to play again to stay in the playoffs. Miami actually came within one period of being knocked out of the playoffs. They were down one point going into the fourth quarter. They came that close to not being in the playoffs and now they are in the Conference Finals and have a chance at the NBA Finals. Granted the pressure of the play-in might have got the team focused but them came really close to being in the same position as all of us. Watching the playoffs from home. The other factor is since Miami slipped from 7th to 8th seed that meant that the top seed Bucks had to face the 7th best team instead of the 8th. Miami beat them and they fired their coach. Now they might have lost in the first round regardless or they might have lost in the second round and their coach would still have been fired. It just seems that the play-in might have played a hand in it. Oh, and one other thing is now they will talk about Miami trying to be only the second 8th seed to make the Finals when really they are a 7th seed.
