Just finished listening and I want to thank you both, Sam Fain and Tournament Master, for delivering such an awesome tribute to one of the greatest performers to ever step into the ring. Just want to say a couple things... 1/ The look featured on his most recent Legends card is the one I like the best... Classic Macho Man and the one I grew up watching. 2/ Of all the amazing programs that he worked, Savage vs. DDP was actually my favorite... With that mentioned, I have to say that I would much prefer a new card for Page - featuring a younger look - than for Savage. Oh, man... Even if the stats were exactly the same, a curly mulleted, ribs taped Page would be killer art with the Legends background. I wouldn't say no to that. And thank you! Really appreciate the comments. Any chance of Piper in the future? Andre? A Rude in color those would be the three big ones! ☺️ |

I started listening to Roll Up yesterday while on break at work and I finished this episode earlier today. This was a great episode with good discussion by tigersamurai and Tournament Master.
The discussion on Randy Savage led me today to buying a Macho Man action figure on Ebay to add to my modest wrestling action figure collection, a few days ago I got the Elite version of Big Van Vader (which comes with his red mask and with his huge black mastodon helmet as accessories.) Speaking of Vader, he would be a great idea for a future Legends Spotlight on Roll Up.
I am looking forward to being a guest once again on Roll Up next week to discuss the upcoming Best of the Indies 2021 set.

Finally got around to listening tonight. I think the Macho Man card we have is perfect and probably wouldn't use another. I guess Macho King if anything... didn't he wear a mask early in his career?
I just checked and he started in 74-75 in Florida as The Spider. An undercard, masked guy named The Spider would get more use than anything else.

Finished the episode this afternoon. I was surprised to hear my WWWA commercial in there but loved it! When Sam said something about "Here's some audio from Cory Olson," I was trying to remember what I had made for this episode.  Some very interesting facts and thoughts about the "Macho Man." I look forward to Episode 11! |

We know they no longer have the ability to make Rude at this time or else we would have gotten him by now. Are we sure about Savage? I mean those cards all came before his HOF induction and Lanny signing the Legends deal. Just a lot of hoops to jump through. |
