About halfway through this episode and really enjoy hearing about the individual booking strategies used... Although I'm a big fan of slow builds myself, I fear that I have a tendency to forget angles that I allow to simmer for too long... So, I usually just allow the dice to dictate what's happening and permit myself to be carried along for the ride.
As for when I use enhancement cards (such as referees or ring announcers)... Right now, I let the initiative roll decide... Using two dice, if both wrestlers roll the same number for initiative, I start the match by rolling on the GMC ring announcer card... If either wrestler rolls 2 (snake eyes) or 12 (boxcars), I roll on the Morgan Dollar referee card before starting the match... For the timebeing, I schedule my prematch and post-match interviews (with Gordon Solie) and press conferences (w/ Bill Apter) as I see fit... But, at some point, I want to start using the Heenan/Monsoon commentary card handle these decisions for me.

Another great episode. Enjoyed the booking discussion. Certainly would do some things better than my teenage self, but have no interest in starting the fed over or re-writing my history. Turned Bishop Hell face for awhile before he turned on Wolf and Amazonia to back heel- that led to my fed's most memorable feud ever. Have flipped Renegade and Billy Jo Boxer briefly to Society of Death, and I had Sam bad for a short while in the very early years as well. I can't imagine though why anyone would turn the Greek Gods heel!

Just started and can't stop laughing at Chad's reaction to the pronunciation of Rocca. Just a side note, Buff Bagwell's longest reign as WCW Tag Team champion was his reign with Shane Douglas. I have never been sure of the correct pronunciation of Antonino/Argentina Rocca's name (well, his last one!). In my head, when making ring introductions (and I profess to do this, before each match!), I've gone back and forth on Row-ka and Ra-ka a lot. Any way you say it, he is one of our more underrated LWF wrestlers, a true headliner in his day in every respect. If we're ever able to produce a Miguel Perez card, Rocca-Perez may immediately become my all time favorite tag-team (at least in LWF)! Thanks for listening!

Great episode friends! Really enjoyed the discussion the different booking styles.
Maybe not in the official Ringside Companion but we'd better get the rules for the Triton Truck match somewhere! And the boat and the Backyard BBQ matches too!

Grant and Troy, maybe we can do an Uncharted Territory: Too Extreme for Filsinger Games Ringside Companion featuring those matches.

The experience with the Triton Truck Match is why I phased out the use of 10, 12-, 20-, etc.-sided dice for special matches. To me, it should matter that certain combinations and results come up more often than others. The truck crashing should only happen on a roll of 2 or 12, with a further odd/even roll after that. I would 100% support a revamped Triton Truck Match for the Ringside Companion. About the only exceptions are the old Barroom Brawl that was played at a mid-'90s Con and used a 30-sided die, and barnestormer's Satanic Skull Match which uses dice with a skull in place of the 1 but can be easily played with regular dice as well.
