Dick Hutton handled The Spoiler with the Abdominal Stretch. Hutton dominated most of the match but Spoiler got a last chance and whipped Hutton into the ropes. Hutton managed a tackle and a scoop slam before locking in the Stretch for a submission.
Nick Bockwinkel (with Bobby Heenan) put away Magnum T.A. with the Bockwinkel Sleeper. Magnum went on a run and it looked like he might pull the upset but he could never land the Belly to Belly. Bockwinkel came back and clamped on the Sleeper. Magnum just escaped the first time but immediately passed out the second time. After the match, Heenan distracted the referee while Bockwinkel inflicted a bit more punishment before leaving.
The Midnight Express retained the tag team titles over The Nu Age Outlaws by disqualification when Jesse pulled the referee out of the ring when Condrey had Gunn covered after a Face First Leg Sweep. The Outlaws dominated a good chunk of the match but the Midnights had Billy Gunn in trouble when Jesse James tried to stop the count only for the referee to call for the bell for the interference.
AJ Styles and Terrible Turk battled to a double disqualification in a short match when The Japan Alliance and Covenant of Blood both got involved in the match. Styles probably had Turk down for the win but Vampiro led his squad down and Styles backup came down as well. From there it was a big battle until Vampiro suddenly announced he had one more member and it was not Turk. Bagpipe music hit and Rowdy Roddy Piper rushed the ring and went after Brody as the show ended.

It's a battle between CoB and Japan Alliance
Miracle Violence Connection defeated Monster Factory when Monsoon passed out in the STF. Gordy and Williams had a few struggles but mostly were able to toss around the big men before Monsoon was locked into the STF.
Vampiro put away Stan Hansen after two Nails in the Coffin. Vampiro didn't have much trouble here though it did take two Nails to put Hansen in the coffin.
In a Steel Cage Match, Bruiser Brody made a big comeback to finish off Abdullah the Butcher with the Jumping Knee Drop. Butcher dominated most of the match but eventually Brody came back and dropped the big knee to win.
Roddy Piper defeated AJ Styles with a knee lift after Vampiro interfered following a Styles Clash to win the World Title. Vampiro cackled as the referee counted three. After taking the belt, Piper smashed Styles with it before dropping him with a piledriver.

Although both sides of this escalating war managed to earn two impressive victories, I would have to say that CoB emerged as the overall winners... Piper taking the title from AJ thanks to an assist by Vampiro... And then adding insult to injury with that post-match assault... Just brutal!

Big Van Vader finished off Sam Houston. Houston was able to use his agility early on to frustrate Vader, but a running body avalanche knocked Houston down and the Vader Bomb put Houston away.
Manny Fernandez easily handled Wild Bill Irwin putting him away with a gut wrench suplex. Irwin would gain control and try to stomp Fernandez only for Fernandez to escape each time Eventually Fernandez drilled him with a suplex and covered for the three count.
World Tag Team Champions The Midnight Express got a challenge from Rock and Soul but Eaton pinned Scorpio after the Rocket Launcher. Scorpio and Bagwell nearly had Condrey down several times but just could not score the pin. Condrey made a late tag in and dropped Scorpio throat first on the ropes and tagged in Eaton before lifting him up for the Rocket Launcher and three count.
Rowdy Roddy Piper retained the World Title over Harley Race with the Sleeper. There was no interference here just Piper and Race beating each other down. A well timed weapon shot reversed Piper's fortunes and he eventually clamped on the Sleeper for the submission.

Very cool that Hot Rod was able to retain against Handsome Harley... And it looks like Scorpio & Jannetty pushed the tag champs to the limit... But, ME were just too much to handle... Another excellent show!

Marty Jannnetty edged Dr. Tom Prichard with the Rocker Dropper after Prichard would have won the match if the referee had not been knocked out twice by missed deathjumps. Jannetty survived the beating long enough to hit a pair of Rocker Droppers to win. After the match, Stan Lane assaulted Marty until Ric McCord made the save.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan finished off Baron Von Raschke with the Flying Spear. This was even for a while but a near submission by a Duggan bear hug got Duggan rolling and though Von Raschke managed to get past one spear, a second was too much as Duggan took the three count.
World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express put away Down and Dirty when Condrey pinned Dalton after the Midnight Massacre. Both Dalton and Costa got pin attempts on the Express but in the end, the Rocket Launcher and then the Midnight Massacre just proved too much.
Bruiser Brody defeated Roddy Piper via disqualification when Covenant of Blood attacked Brody after the Jumping Knee Drop. Brody dominated but Vampiro wasn't going to let gold slip from the team so fast. Japan Alliance quickly jumped in and the referee had enough and disqualified Piper.

Frank Gotch defeated Roddy Piper to win the World Title following a crossface and bar arm. As the saying goes, the cream rises to the top... Very few would disagree that Mr Gotch is right back where he belongs... Fun stuff, my friend... As always!

Was hoping to lead to an angle from it but Gotch just kicked The Rowdy One on the way to grabbing the gold.
