I wasn't a big fan of some of the art work in LOTF 1 mainly the Heartbreak Express but I thought the art in LOTF 2 was much better. I can apprecriate the time and effort that goes in to producing these cards but at the same time people have the right to their opinions. It seems to me that criticism is something you need to deal with when you're artist and not take it personally

Sometimes its a good thing to get your art criticized
Sometime it helps you get better

Sometimes its a good thing to get your art criticized Sometime it helps you get better So be it but when art is good it is good. Whether you like the style of the art is again up to personal preference. It is not so much taking it personally but that if something is good conceptually then one must put personal like aside and still give credit for work done. I guess being someone who has gone through college for Fine Arts I guess my views are different than others. Maybe my eyes are wide open instead of sealed shut or with blinders on. But hey to each his own.

Or maybe you think some art is good when others think it totally sucks.

Just because someone has a different opinion than you do doesn't make them a troll. I loved all the art in LOTF1. I don't really care for the Jacobs and Black art. It's not that the art is bad, it just doesn't really look like them. Jim said it's sometimes good when you're art gets criticized. That might make you a better artist. It's a strong point. You're reply of "When art is good it's good" just proves exactly what I said. Just because you think it's good doesn't mean it doesn't suck in the eyes of others. Just because you took some art classes doesn't mean everyone is going to think everything you do it good. I'd take Jim's advice. There is always room to get better.

Hey, I thought a TON of Bendis' art was underrated.
Just saying.

Nice edit to ensure you didn't get banned there for the personal attack eh?

What I originally said was: "I've seen some of your stuff. I'd take Jim's advice." I thought what I changed it to was more constructive. Saying your art needs work is not a personal attack. It just means it could be a lot better and that Jim has a good point.
