Hey, I thought a TON of Bendis' art was underrated. Just saying. I liked the Metalhead and 1st Maxine, although she didn't have any pupils!!!!

Can't we all just get along? Hey no problems here. I am just trying to show support for the product. Which I genuinely like and want to see more LOTF in the years to come.

You're preaching to the choir, dude. As far as I know, I'm the only one who has posted a fed result with the new cards. People will like what they will like. Any art is better than what I can do. I'm more about the stats than the art, though. (Rumor is the guy who does the stats is pretty sweet) The only one I didn't care for was the Tyler Black art because he is sporting the Somebody farted face. If I want to see that face I'll watch William Regal. Thought the Jacobs art is cool. I like the Erick Stevens art, too. Brodie Lee looks a little too much like Jason Lee from "My name is Earl" but hey, if that's what he looks like, who am I to argue. I'm going downstairs to play my next House Show leading up to my first PPV with the new guys. Should be sweet.

I like the art of LOTF1 and I like what I see so far for Second Fall. Funny enough, someone mentioned not liking the Heartbreak Express art, and I thought it was some of the strongest in the set. It just goes to show a great example of how so much is personal preference as far as art is concerned. The style used in LOTF has a different feel than the regular Legends stuff, and I think it works better for the subject matter than the photo-real style used in legends. The style makes LOTF feel more fun and modern than the Legends stuff, and it makes the wrestlers seem more like "characters". That helps me come up with ideas for many of the guys I wasn't familiar with before or don't know much about, if that makes any sense.
At any rate, I hope they keep the same artist (or at least the same style) for future editions.

What you just said was pretty much my exact thought process when I first spoke with John K. about what we were looking for with the Legends of the Future game editions. Glad to hear most people enjoy his style! Todd and I both really like what he brings to the table for LotF and I expect him to remain on board for the next edition and hopefully beyond. ~ :-Xsk

I think my favourite art was on the first LOTF set. There was something about the cartoony images that took my interest.

Yeah, I realized that John's art is a bit polarizing, especially for those that are used to the straight up portrait art for Legends. However, having the guys in these sets more as characters is a good and helps differentiate it into something new and different, which was the hope.
FYI, those of you that preordered up to Thursday all should have the set very soon, as I sent them out Friday. The rest will get them probably closer to the end of the week. I hope you enjoy the cards, John, Jon and Ty did a great job.

(well, nothing as much as the LOTF 2 set, as they already have spots to be slotted into)
