Another episode I really enjoyed. Love the stories about Ilio DiPaolo's, Johnny V, and all the other guests. Very cool to hear about Todd's and Mike's reminiscences about their first and early Galacticons. Excited to hear tonight's special podcast--going to sneak it at work if I can be slick enough!

Listened on the plane back from NOLA this AM. Nice to relive some GCon memories! Can't wait for part 2.

Catching up on podcasts, so I'm late to post. A fun show and it was great going down memory lane! I attended Galacticon as a promoter from 1995 through 2003. My parents and I actually came with Chad to Jamestown for the first three Cons. As an 11-year old, I got to attend the first Night at The Matches and I remember seeing Jushin Liger's Shooting Star Press for the first time. I actually missed it because someone was shooting fireworks off outside the conference room at the hotel and I got distracted by that. We also watched two Hogan-Flair matches from MSG, which I hadn't seen. I was excited to see those matches but most promoters couldn't care less. It definitely shows how the WWF botched that program. Some giveaway items from Cons that weren't mentioned were COTG caps and a coffee mug. I remember Tom going around the Sheldon House and giving everyone the first cap. It was a white cap with the COTG Infinity logo and had kind of a foamy front, like a trucker cap. (I think this might have been my first Con in '95.) Later, there was the cap that had kind of a khaki material. I think the coffee mug came out in '97. It had the very first Filsinger Games Website address on it. (Does anyone remember what that was?) Virgil's appearance in '02 was a last-minute one, as we found out about it on a flyer that Tom had made up and left at the hotels when we checked into our rooms. Hannibal King was supposed to attend that year for the first time but had some type of conflict. I can't remember which year it was, even though you guys just covered it, but the first time a set was released at a Con, it was so funny to see how everyone stopped playing tournaments and was reading the new handbook. The Sheldon House quickly turned into a library. I look forward to hearing the Galacticon 1 reunion show!

(Does anyone remember what that was?) something like www.iop.something/cotg ......something to that effect lol The splash page had a pic of the postcard with Chaos, Tom, and Alpha Force if I remember correctly.

That is correct, Ken West! It was www.iop.com/gwf, I believe. And I think you are right about the splash page!
