[In a board room back in Dimension X, Mesmer engages in a conversation with shadowy figures, the representatives of several WGX stars. The tension in the room is palpable as they discuss their plans.]
Mesmer: Now that we have secured the necessary financial resources, it's time to devise a meticulous game plan. We cannot underestimate the resilience of the GWF. Despite their current vulnerabilities, they have proven to be remarkably resilient.
[His voice carries a tone of frustration and contemplation.]
Mesmer: The hero team, as noble as they may be, lacks the strength and unity required to lead this organization. And the villain team, while cunning, is plagued by their own self-serving agendas. We must find an alternative approach, a third path that exploits their weaknesses and guarantees our success.
[He leans forward, his gaze intensifying.]
Mesmer: My benefactor and I share a vision—a complete and utter transformation of the GWF. We seek not only its destruction in its current form but also its control. We aim to rebuild it according to our own design, ushering in a new era of power and dominance. To achieve this, we must carefully manipulate the existing structures and exploit the inherent vulnerabilities within. This will take time.
[He pauses, his voice filled with determination.]
Mesmer: We are the architects of change, the catalysts for the revolution that will reshape the GWF. Together, we will dismantle the current order and establish our dominion over their realm. This is our moment, our chance to seize control and reshape the course of the Galactic Wrestling Federation. Your client will be our canary in the coal mine, but he will be far from alone. We're exploring all avenues to advance this project. Our commitment to this knows no bounds.
[He pauses again, one of the agents speaks up]
Sports agent: This is all fine and good. But your benefactor, who is he? How involved will be in the project? My client is interested of course, but we need to understand how this project is being funded.
[Mesmer smirks, then leans back in his chair]
Mesmer: He's one of the richest men in Dimension K. He's content to sit back in the shadows for now, certainly for the length of your client's initial contract. I am the point person in this project's initial stage.
Sports agent: And why is he involved? Why does he care about the GWF?
Mesmer: Ultimately is a PR move for him. He wants to be seen in a more positive light around the galaxy and is exploring ways to do just that. He believes that associating himself with the GWF and in fact dominating the GWF will change the way he and his companies are perceived. But at this point he's not ready to dip his toe in a front facing role.
Sports agent: Very well. We'll need some additional written assurances, but in principle we have a deal.
Mesmer: Excellent. Your client will realize untold riches, fame, and titles in the coming years.
[Mesmer and the sports agent shake hands]

Pulsar Prime: I can't shake off what happened on Demios. Death Masque and Darkos crossed the line!

[Pulsar Prime nods, determination shining in his eyes. He resumes his training, hitting the punching bag with renewed focus.]

[Phantast sits in a dimly lit room, his eyes fixed on the holovision screen in front of him. The call connects, revealing the enigmatic figure Mesmer spoke with before, their voice disguised.]
Phantast: It's good to speak with you again. Mesmer has informed me of your disappointment with Commissioner Carter's decision. What's the next move?
Unseen Voice: Indeed, Phantast. While Carter may have disappointed us, our focus remains unwavering on the ultimate objective. It's time for you to step aside and return to Dimension X, leaving the Matador as our representative.
[Phantast leans forward, his gaze locked on the holovision screen, a mix of curiosity and determination etched on his face.]
Phantast: And what is the grand plan behind all of this? What do you have in store for the Matador?
Unseen Voice: He will be granted an official contract, one that will pave the way for his solo career. Our connections on the GWF board have ensured that he will receive the training and opportunities he needs to shine.
[Phantast's mind buzzes with a whirlwind of thoughts and questions, his intrigue mounting.]
Phantast: But what about the Galaxian Tag League? Athletic Club can still win.
Unseen voice: The decision has been made. Now that Carter's disloyalty has ben revealed, we need to take a step back and reposition. Athletic Club is no more. We have something....special in mind for Man of Power. We'll need you to help train him back in Dimension X with Memser. I will stay in Dimension K and oversee the Matador. We've already arranged a manager for him. Your victory over Bounty Hunter wasn't entirely due to your skill.
Phantast: Very well. We shall return at once.
[The holovision call ends, leaving Phantast in a state of contemplation, his mind racing with the possibilities that lie ahead, and the role he will eventually play in the unfolding tapestry of events.]
