Polaris Interstellar Stadium, Ursa Minor (115,583)
It's one of the GWF's biggest events of the year! it's Triple Card 2090! Over the next 3 nights, we'll see grudges settle, we'll see all 3 GWF titles defended, we'll see 2 of the GWF's major annual tournaments crown their winners!
Night one is the opening round of the GWF Cup, with 8 combatants vying for the trophy, the large cash prize, and of course the right to challenge for any GWF Title they wish! Lets get to the action!
1- GWF Cup Round 1: Thantos vs Renegade
The opening match saw former Galaxian Champion Thantos take his first steps toward regaining what he feels is rightfully his against Renegade. This match proceeded as predicted early, with Thantos jumping all over the Neptunian. However, Thantos made a major mistake, choosing to throw Renegade out of the ring when he didn't have to. Renegade feels just fine out on the floor and smashed Thantos into the turnbuckle when chased. He tossed the former champ back into the rign, hit the SPINECRACKER and pulled one of the biggest upsets in recent memory, pinning Thantos and knocking him out of the competition!!! Quite a way to start the evening!
2- GWF Cup Round 1: Terak the Beast Rider vs Splatter
Splatter made his return to singles action after his recent tag team excursion and he loved the freedom! The action spilled out of the ring early and often, with Splatter getting an emphatic victory via the HATCHET JOB and setting up a spicy semi final match with Renegade!
3- GWF Cup Round 1: Lord Nexus vs Exo-King
These old rivals clashed in an entertaining first round match, with Lord Nexus showing the determination of a man who feels his time to hold a GWF title has finally come. He soundly defeated Exo-King to advance to the semi-final.
4- GWF Cup Round 1: Death Masque vs Commander Sam
This match was over before it got started! Commander Sam, making his return from injury, was walking down the aisle being introduced by ring announcer Gary Michael Galactica, when Death Masque charged him from behind, smashed him into the steel pole, then rolled him into the ring and hit THE MELTDOWN for a quick victory! 2090 hasn't been Commander Sam's year!
5- Galactic Punisher vs Spike
In the first non tournament match of the day, Galactic Punisher took on Spike, looking for retribution after Spike's vicious attack against Actagon. Justice was served as the lawman took the Aethran's best shots, then responded with a Punisher Smash and a pin! We can't imagine Thakur was impressed with that showing!
6- Titan Death Match: Bishop Hell vs Iron Mane
This grudge match came to a head as Iron Mane took early revenge on the Bishop. It was short lived however. Eventually Bishop hell escaped the ring to regroup, and when he did he grabbed a steel chair, smashing Iron mane over the head! he then rolled him back in the ring, called up HELLFIRE, and that was all she wrote! Another tough loss for the Ani-Man!
7- Galaxian Title Match: Star Warrior (c) vs Bounty Hunter with Reynard B. Guile.
Bounty Hunter had seen his stock increase in recent months, climbing into the top 5 of the GWF singles rankings. This match ended up an absolute classic, a FIVE STAR MATCH that was among the best title bouts in GWF history. the two battled back and forth, near fall after near fall, after near fall. Eventually, Reynard B Guile was forced to attempt to distract the referee. Though successful, time seemed to be slipping away from the Bounty Hunter. A COSMIC BIG BANG later, and it seemed surely Star Warrior would retain. Then Guile got involved again, ringing the timekeepers bell and breaking the referee's count before he made 3! In the confusion and commotion that followed, Bounty Hunter recovered and used the AMBUSH, seeming poised to become new champion! But Star Warrior, with the true heart of a champion, kicked out! The match resumed, with Bounty Hunter on the offensive and the precipice of victory. Sensing victory, he went for a risky suplex, which Star Warrior was able to escape from, a moment later and another emphatic COSMIC BIG BANG ended the match, with Star Warrior retaining!
It was a great night of action GWF fans, stay tuned for night 2 of this premier event!

Triple Card Night 2
Card 72 Early April 2090
Polaris Interstellar Stadium, Ursa Minor (115,583)
Triple Card 2090 continues with 6 big matches, plus a special announcement from Vanity!
1. GWF Cup Semi Final- Renegade vs Splatter
This was a fun match with 2 wildmen of similar styles going toe to toe to kick off the evening! Both men took risky maneuvers with reckless abandon, seeing multiple reversals and near falls! Ultimately Renegade hit the SPINECRACKER to get the win and secure his place in the final tomorrow! Quite a Cinderella run!
2. GWF Cup Semi Final- Death Masque vs Lord Nexus
The other semi final saw two GWF stalwarts battle it out for a spot in the final and a chance at a shot at any GWF belt of their choosing! Lord Nexus had the upper hand but after tossing Death Masque on the floor the assassin landed on his feet, pulled him to the floor, and threw him into the steel post! He then tossed Lord nexus back in the ring, hit the MELTDOWN without the referee noticing, and got the win over the Titan. Interesting final we have set up!
3. Billy Joe Boxer vs Mad Jester
This was a surprisingly entertaining match, with mad jester taking total control early but saw the Boxer crawl back into contention with a few well times right hooks. Eventually the action spilled to the floor when Jester said something not quite audible to the crowd that sent Billy Joe into a rage! He totally lost control and ended up smashing Mad Jester with a steel chair over and over until finally GWF officials pulled him away! He was obviously disqualified and the crowd was left wondering exactly what was said?
A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM VANITY
In the center of the GWF ring, Gordon Solar stood with microphone in hand, ready to interview the flamboyant Vanity. The crowd buzzed with anticipation as Vanity basked in the spotlight, reveling in the attention.
"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to this exclusive interview with the one and only Vanity!" Gordon announced, his voice echoing throughout the arena. "Vanity, you have an announcement to make tonight. What's on your mind?"
Vanity flashed a confident smile, his charismatic demeanor captivating the audience. "Oh, Gordon, my dear, I have decided that it's time for a change," he declared, a mischievous twinkle in his eye. "After much contemplation, I've realized that the GWF's tag team division is in desperate need of my presence."
The crowd erupted with mixed reactions, some curious, others skeptical. Vanity extended his hand toward the entrance ramp, as if presenting a surprise. "And without further ado, allow me to introduce my tag team partner, the epitome of galactic perfection, Mr. Galaxy!"
With a burst of pyrotechnics and fanfare, Mr. Galaxy emerged, his muscles bulging and glistening under the arena lights. He struck a series of exaggerated poses, showcasing his physique to the delight of some fans and the amusement of others.
Gordon couldn't help but interject, his sarcasm evident in his tone. "Well, Vanity, it seems you've found a partner who matches your ego. Quite the duo you two will be."
Vanity smirked, undeterred by Gordon's remark. "Indeed, Gordon. Together, Mr. Galaxy and I will form the most awe-inspiring tag team in the galaxy. We'll be known as the Awesome Dudes!"
The crowd reacted with a mixture of laughter, applause, and a few raised eyebrows. Vanity and Mr. Galaxy reveled in the attention, soaking up the adoration as if it were their birthright.
"And when can we expect the debut of this extraordinary tag team?" Gordon asked, trying to maintain his composure.
"Why, tomorrow night, of course!" Vanity exclaimed, his voice filled with anticipation. "The Awesome Dudes will make their first appearance, and the entire GWF universe will witness the magnificence that is Vanity and Mr. Galaxy. Prepare to be awed!"
With that, Vanity and Mr. Galaxy struck another pose, their confidence radiating from every fiber of their beings. The crowd erupted into cheers and applause, eager to see what this eccentric duo had in store for the tag team division.
As Gordon Solar bid them farewell, he couldn't help but shake his head with a wry smile. The Awesome Dudes had certainly made a splash, and the GWF's tag team division would never be the same again.
4. GWF Interstellar Title- Pulsar Prime (champion) vs Pit Viper
Pit Viper turned up for the occasion, receiving a title shot against Pulsar Prime after a good showing in the GWF Rankings. Pulsar Prime slowly took control however, and forced Pit Viper to take more and more risks. Things got out of hand when the action went out of the ring and Pit Viper slammed the champion through a table! He was disqualified on the spot. Will this result hurt him in the rankings enough to deny him a rematch? He didn’t actually lose after all…
5. Special Stipulation Match- Wolf w/ Amazonia vs Bounty Hunter w/ Reynard B Guile
If Bounty Hunter won this match, Amazonia would be forced to go on a date with Reynard B Guile, while a win for Wolf would grant him 5 minutes alone with the lanky manager! Bounty Hunter was visibly frustrated with Guile recently, and eyebrows were raised when Wolf took complete control of the match. Ultimately Wolf pulled off a fantastic maneuver, a cross body block from the top rope onto Bounty Hunter who was out on the arena floor! Bounty Hunter was unable to continue and was counted out! Wolf then chased Guile to the back. He didn’t get his 5 minutes, but then again it wasn’t actually a clean finish, was it?
6. Galaxian Tag League Final- Powerhouse vs Alien Corps
In the Main Event and the finals of the 2090 Galaxian Tag League, Powerhouse was led by Massif who at times took on both Comrade Terror and Togsoon! Powerhouse made their victory an emphatic one, with massif hitting the VOLCANIC DROP on Togsoon to get the victory and win the Galaxian Tag League, setting up a match the Galaxian Tag Team Champions The Gladiators tomorrow night! The Champions appeared at the entranceway looking onto the ring as Powerhouse were awarded the Galaxian Tag League Trophy.
It was a little bit of a frustrating night with so many non clean finishes, but night 2 of Triple Card 2090 was still one to remember! We’ll see you tomorrow night for the conclusion of the GWF Cup and 5 other big matches!
