Hi all, quick question. If one selects flat rate shipping from the store, do those items get shipped in a box or something other? I'm stationed overseas and having envelopes sent halfway across the world can be dicey sometimes. Thanks!

I think the flat rate shipping is simply in a white envelope with no padding. I have started paying extra for the priority shipping since the envelope full of stuff comes in a more sturdier package. I am not sure if that works for overseas however.

If you are in the military (I am guessing that), the postage shipping rates for sending items to a APO *should* be the same shipping stateside for standard mail (they were back in the day when I was stationed overseas). It's been a while, but I don't think they do priority or express to APOs without up-charging a lot...the major difference is time for the mail to get delivered. Again it's been a while, but standard mail should be standard mail. (But, yeah give Tournament Master a shout to confirm.)

Ahhh...how I don't miss these days! I remember getting 2092 (I think it was?) en route to Saudi...man, that thing was trashed...but I didn't care as I simply taped everything up and several ppl would play in the biovac with me...
Got spoiled when I was in Hawaii as I just had to go close to the armory at Marine Barracks in Pearl...seemed to be in super prestine condition comparatively

Yes shipping to FPO/APO is supposed to cost the same as if sent within the US. The only added inconvenience is having to fill out a customs form. But yeah military mail can be hit or miss sometimes. I’ve been stationed in Okinawa for 3 years now and I’ve had some packages get torn open along the way. Plus the guys at my Postal Service Center insist on folding just about every envelope in half into my little 3” x 3” box if they can no matter how many times I ask them not to do that. On a good note, I have only one more year to deal with it before I go back to the States.

It is the same rate and I can send priority mail for the US price...which I did here. The main difference is that I need to fill out a customs form...which is a pain in the Billy Gunn.
