Another strike against Pat for this set specifically is that the LOW crew has said on Uncharted Territory that they'd like to make the Ray Stevens card more tag-centric (with bold ratings for when he's teaming with Pat). I think if we get Pat, we're getting Stevens, too.

I think if we get Pat, we're getting Stevens, too. But wouldn’t the same thoughts be present for a Patterson card? You don’t give it to both of them - give it to the one with less success as a single, which I think Stevens was more successful as a singles wrestler than Patterson was, so make the Patterson card have the bold stats when teaming with Ray Stevens. |

I think they're about even in that regard with maybe a slight edge to Pat. It's hard to say in hindsight because Pat was younger than Ray by several years and has more footage as a top singles guy on tape than Ray, who was pretty physically shot by the late '70s. But Pat was the only Backlund opponent to headline 4 consecutive MSG shows against him.

I hope we'll see similar mini-packs for territories that don't have enough wrestlers signed for a full set. I'd like to see a Florida 4-Pack of Kevin Sullivan, Mike Graham, King Bobby Shane & a singles card for B. Brian Blair. Can anyone else think of a good territorial 4-Pack similar to the upcoming Pacific Northwest 4-Pack?

The Tolos brotheres and Angelo Mosca plus 1 more Canadian. Or for a family like the Anoai family. Samu, Alofa, Afa Jr. & 1 more would be a pretty great 4 pack in my book! |
