The narrative for the PPV was the goal here, so apologies in advance if this isn't quite up to the usual PPV standard from me.
Commissioner Mick Foley was in the ring with "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. DiBiase had the Million Dollar Belt over his shoulder and he looked confident as to what the commissioner would decide.
Foley started, "Welcome one and all to the Miami Twice Pay-Per-View... right here in Miami, Florida!" After the cheap pop died down a bit, Foley looked over at DiBiase. "I know you're waiting to hear my decision, Teddy. I'm sure you can't wait! I'm also sure you think I am going to MAKE you wait! But no! We've got too much stuff on the Pay-Per-View to have things get bogged down already!
"So let me tell you what my decision is as to whether you can bring that Belt into this fed or not: I will accept it, but -- and you know there was going to be a 'but' -- there will have to be a tournament for that Belt after the Pay-Per-View! I won't allow you to just proclaim yourself champion like you did with the WWF North American Heavyweight Belt oh so long ago!"
A sour look crossed DiBiase's face. The Million Dollar Belt was HIS Belt. He did not like having to WIN it.
"Well, you think about it, Teddy, okay? That also goes for Muraco and Valentine's tag Belt: If you want the Belts in the fed, put them up in a tournament! And that decision... is final!" Foley said, quickly pulling out his tiny gavel and hitting the top turnbuckle with it twice.
The PPV got underway, but what will Muraco & Valentine decide? And what of Cornette's Smokey Mountain Tag Belts? STAY TUNED!!
"Macho Man" Randy Savage VS "Cowboy" Bob Orton jr
Orton was a split-second away from winning, but Savage was able to comeback and won the first bout.
Randy Savage won with his Finisher - FLYING ELBOW DROP in a time of 5:14.
"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan VS Masked Superstar
A dominating performance by Superstar here as he easily got the win in this one.
Masked Superstar won with a Flying Cross Chop in 3:36.
"Dr Death" Steve Williams & Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy w/M.Gordy
VS Brutus Beefcake & Greg Valentine w/Johnny V (Dream Team)

Barry Windham VS Iron Sheik - LUMBERJACK
Windham was not up to the task here, as Sheik may have been slow and plodding but it worked for him.
Iron Sheik won with his Finisher - CAMEL CLUTCH in a time of 4:38.
Jim Cornette was in the ring with the Midnight Express. He expected the Fantastics to come down to the ring and give him back the Smokey Mountain Tag Belts.
"Hey, Fantastics! Get down here and give me my Belts!" Cornette bellowed! After several minutes with no sign that the Fantastics would show, Cornette continued, "All right, let's try this: I'm going to let my men defend the Wingman Tag Belts against you in a Belts-for-Belts match! You win, you get the Wingman Tag Belts! If the Midnight Express win, you give me back the Smokey Mountain Tag Belt! What do you say?"
This got a response as the Fantastics stormed the ring with the Smokey Mountain Tag Belts around their waists, and the action in the ring began!
HoF Wingman Tag Champs Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane w/J.Cornette (Midnight Express)
VS Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers (Fantastics) - TITLE BOUT
Not much the Fantastics could do against a well-prepared Midnight team, as the Champs won again.
Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane won when Lane used a Midnight Lariat against Rogers in a time of 10:04.
Don "The Rock" Muraco VS Adrian Adonis
Not much of a match as Adonis clearly had Muraco's number in this match.
Adrian Adonis won with his Finisher - GOODNIGHT IRENE in 6:06.
Out like a light, Muraco was left unconscious in the ring. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper came down and revived his buddy Muraco, helped him to his feet, and then --
Piper clotheslined Muraco and began spitting in his face! After grabbing a microphone, he yelled, "You're worthless to me! Go ahead and turn face, I don't care! I don't want nothin' to do with you, man! Valentine doesn't want nothin' to do with you, and Snuka certainly don't want nothin' to do with you!" With that, he spat in Muraco's face again, then left.
Rejected and dejected, Muraco looked despondant. He slowly paced inside the ring, looking down at his feet. What was he going to do next? Maybe retire? So many negative thoughts going through his head at this moment.
Then, on the giant viewscreen, a familiar face appeared with some reassuring words. It was --
BRUISER BRODY!
"Hey, man," Brody started. "Hey, listen. Forget Piper. Why don't you become a manager? You could manage me! I just won the Hardcore Belt and I could use a manager. Hey... I haven't been feeling too good about my career lately either, so think it over, okay? Give me your answer at the end of the Pay-Per-View. I may have a little incentive for you by then..."
Muraco stared at the viewscreen after Brody's image faded. What could Brody mean by incentive? Stay tuned and find out...
Animal & Hawk w/P.Ellering (Legion of Doom)
VS Barbarian & Warlord (Powers of Pain)
Warlord got the only near-fall his team would have, as the LoD managed to out-muscle their foes in this one.
Animal & Hawk won when Hawk used a Running Clothesline on Barbarian in a time of 7:02.
Hof StarFighter Intercontinental Champ Lou Thesz VS Rhino - TITLE BOUT
Rhino was off to a fast start, but once Thesz was on offense, it was all over and he got the victory here.
Lou Thesz won with his Finisher - THESZ PRESS in a time of 5:28, thus Lou Thesz retained the HoF StarFighter Intercontinental Belt!
Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson (Rock-n-Roll Express)
VS Gorilla Monsoon & Louis Albano w/B.Heenan
Teamwork was the name of the game, as R-n-R ran circles around their foes and got the win this time.
Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson won when Gibson used a Back Elbow Smash on Albano in a time of 12:13.
HoF StarFighter Heavyweight Champion Bob Backlund VS "Mr USA" Tony Atlas - TITLE BOUT
Atlas had the advantage for most of the match, but Backlund made an impressive comeback for the win!
Bob Backlund won with his Finisher - ATOMIC DROP in a time of 8:52, thus Backlund retained the HoF StarFighter Heavyweight Belt!
Bruiser Brody entered the ring after Backlund went back to the dressing rooms. He called down Muraco: "Hey, Muraco! Why don't you come down here! I've got a little surprise for you!" Brody stated.
Muraco came down to the ring, hands on his hips, not believing that Brody wanted to help him in any way, shape, or form. "What could you possibly have for me, Brody?"
"Oh... maybe just a little buddy of mine that might give you some inspiration, that's all," Brody said with a smile.
Over the P.A. system, the old theme music to MIAMI VICE played and down to the ring strolled none other than --
DON JOHNSON!!
Muraco's eyes widened and a slow smile crossed his face! Johnson was Muraco's idol, obviously!
Don Johnson entered the ring, shook Brody's hand, and then shook Muraco's. "Good to see you, Mr. Muraco," Don Johnson said. "Seems like you need a bit of inspiration, so here: You should try new things, be the best you can be, and don't worry about what others think. You are what wrestling needs now, and I believe in you! Why not become the best manager there is?"
Muraco absorbed the words Johnson had spoken and agreed. "I will tell you what, Mr. Johnson. I will become a manager, but I will manage whoever I want to manage, whether they're fan favorites or rule breakers! I will make such a unique combination of wrestlers work!"
They all shook hands again, and Muraco has finally found his true purpose in the HoF Fed! And so the birth of a new manager closed out the Pay-Per-View!
...but who else will Muraco manage??
