Just sitting down to watch last night's episode on HULU, I know it's the lowest rated episode in history but what am I missing here? NXT is kind of what started me coming back to Wrestling in the Fall of 2019. I really like the look, the presentation, the roster and I even can watch the show off mute (RAW announcers are eh and Im sorry I dont like Michael Cole at all, I could rant on how I hate most announcing in all sports but that would be another topic). I can't even watch RAW and Smackdown today without having to fastforward, only NXT and MLW I don't need to.
I hate they keep saying NXT is a minor league and treat their roster as minor leaguers. There not only on TV they have more exposure than most Indies so I dont think you can call them a minor league. If you gave me a choice Summerslam or the next NXT Takeover, Im buying Takeover. I want to see Kross/Joe. I appreciate Reigns and Cena but I've seen it before, I want new match ups or ones I really want to see.
Am I a bad fan? Am I not seeing something? Am I crazy thinking NXT is better than both Raw & Smackdown put together?

NXT is criminally underrated, especially with AEW being the new darling of the fans. Even if I miss NXT during the week I make sure to watch it back on Peacock when it goes up. I took AEW off of my DVR. Kind of says it all for my view on things. If Daniel Bryan shows up I will probably give AEW another look because I am a big fan of his but for now I'm out. I find AEW an exhausting watch thanks mostly to the announce team, sans Tony Schiavone who barely gets mic time compared to JR and the masked move calling, instant surprise revealing expert Excalibur  I actually said something similar on another thread about my recent dislike for AEW but for me to take a wrestling show off the DVR it has to be irritating to me. |

I wish Keith Lee was back in NXT. He was a star there. He should be a star on Raw or Smackdown. Instead he's just another guy. It makes you wonder if Vince buries NXT guys on the "main roster" to prove that WWE is the so-called "major league". Kross vs. Joe will probably be better than anything WWE promotes. It'll definitely be better than Lashley/Goldberg.

I feel u. I was starting to get into AEW, but after last night I’m going back to just watching clips on YouTube.I feel so disconnected watching modern wrestling that I often question am I really a wrestling fan. Then I turn on NXT. I’m convinced If Triple H takes over after Vince the product will be better.
I wish they would’ve just sent Andrade and Mr. Black back to NXT instead of firing them.

I gotta say I really dislike the new lighting. For multiple reasons. I like most of the new roster though. But I hate the overall look and arena or whatever it is they’re in.

NXT looks like a rave now, with Vince going back to 80s gimmicks - ask Harlem Bravado.
Giving a guy a title shot that's only had 2 TV matches, regardless of his pedigree - which they're not acknowledging any way. 😏
If one didn't know better, it would seem they're trying to kill the brand.

I’m convinced the whole look is to match Bron Breaker’s gear and that everything they’re doing w 2.0 is designed to get him over (which he is). Dude is the best young talent on TV. Once he moves on I bet they change the logo again. |
