So my first Filsinger fed was the "Best of" set, with a few cards added in. I have been running it SUPER casually with a basic contendership hierarchy where wrestlers that win advance a spot, wrestlers that lose go back one. It's a fun way to engage with the game without going full bore. It's kindof a "shoot" Fed, if that makes sense, light on storyline.
Anyway, I have been branching out, and have bought 7-10 other releases for both Legends and COTG, and I have an embryonic B&W 2087 Fed going now too that *has* all that storylines and official card scheduling.
So I have been trying to work a few of the Color COTG cards, mainly Promoter Prime cards, into both of my feds. In Legends, I just have one or more of them as "special attraction" matches on the otherwise shoot-style cards. In COTG, I have the color guys who are mostly from later in the storyline timewise on the cards via a mechanic I call "Dimensional Chaos", where fighters from other timelines can be matched together. In these instances, the displaced fighters can only face other time-displaced fighters, and it's always a one-off match, unless some sort of storyline begins.
So anyway, my first Promoter Prime pack had Pardon, and I just fell in love with him right away. I have always liked Occult imagery, stuff like Warhammer 40K Chaos, Lovecraft, etc, so he is right up my alley. I picture him as this hard nosed, all business wrestler in the vein of Taz, but with more hardcore leanings. Every match I have had with Pardon has been an absolute joy.
I am wondering, is he a part of the storyline in the current COTG outside of the PP release? I have the digital handbook, but have yet to read it, for fear of it changing how I perceive the character!
