I loved the new storylines as well as the next chapter in the murder mystery.A lot of diverse new characters as well looking forward to receiving the cards.

Since I haven't seen any posts here that people have received their December shipments, let's take a serious look at things. Earlier this year the Postal Service changed their way of moving mail around the country. They are flying less and trucking more. They say it will save money. As part of this change, they adjusted their estimates of how long an item will take to deliver. Within 100 miles of the sender it is 1-2 days. From 100 to 300 miles, I believe the estimate was 3-5 days. From 300 to 500 miles, I believe the estimate was 5-7 days. I don't think they mentioned the effect on Priority mail, but as we learned last year, Priority mail doesn't get that much priority. Basically, when the planned shipping was changed from early December to mid December, the chances that many of us would get our shipment before Christmas went out the window. As the planned shipping date moved further into mid December, this possibility increased. Remember, if the packages went to the Post Office today, they will set at the local distribution center until Monday morning, and there will be no postal service on Saturday. Everything was shipped Sunday. If you read Todd's email, the only preorder that didn't ship was the Ringside Companion. I again, think we really have to cut our friends at FG a break, on some of this stuff. Once it is dropped off at USPS, it is out of their hand. I also think that your estimates might be a bit wrong on this. It's Tuesday; a first class package will not sit somewhere for five business days - it will move, and will probably be on its way by no later than Wednesday of this week, meaning that it will probably be in hand after the holidays. Also, the only guarantee at any point in time, let alone the holidays, since our current Post Master General started, is Express Mail, which used to be guaranteed one day delivery, it's now one to two days. In my mind, whether it was Mid December or Early December, around the holidays, if you want it before Christmas, then pay for Express Mail, IMO. |

Almost unbelievably, I just got my set. Fastest a Filsinger mailing ever got to me,and it was sent priority mail. Hopefully others are having the same luck.

Mine said delivered at 6:15 pm but since the mail was here, I assume when I call tomorrow they will ask me if I want to pick it up at the Post Office. Just glad it is “here” even if it isn’t here. 😀 |
