I went to two ROH shows in Montreal. The main event had Steen and Generico in a tag team match against Nigel McGuinness and someone else. It was awesome. I also saw one of my favorite indy wrestlers - Jimmy Jacobs facing Tyler Black. They were fun shows to attend. I also used to have a ton of shows on VHS - Main Event Spectacles was I believe one of the shows and it was awesome. ROH is such a great promotion.

Man, can't wait to sink into this. That Do Fixer/Blood Generation match... I still go back and watch that match and some of the early DG USA shows from time to time. ROH was a very special company for a time but once Sinclair came in the product struggled to find its footing in the new era. There were some great things the first couple of years - notably Kevin Steen's run with the title and Adam Cole's ascent. The first decade of the company, on the other hand, is still an incredible run with '03-'08 probably being my favorite time, although 2010-2012 were pretty great too. I've had the fortune of having some extended conversations with Cary Silkin and he's got some great stories about the company. Anyway, the ramblings of a sleep-deprived dad. Looking forward to listening!

Only 18 minutes in so far but listening to Chad talk about the Deathmatch he saw, I have to wonder what effect the move LED lighting will have on the Deathmatch industry a few years down the road.

Sam Fain, that Do Fixxer-Blood Generation match was off the charts. I couldn't remember exactly who was in it when we were recording UT, and afterwards Cory helped refresh my memory. I have the DVD of that show, and remember when I first watched it being astounded at the moves...it was just bonkers in terms of athleticism.

Jimmy Jacobs was such an ROH mainstay in the early years; his feud with BJ Whitmer was great. I'd wondered what had become of him, glad to hear he's still going at it.

Great episode. I never made it to an ROH show but this was a great discussion. Toasterboy, it was 11 years ago but you actually have been to an ROH show. You went with me and Cman to ROH in Los Angeles the first night of Wrestle Reunion 10. That was the show where me and you signed the Briscoes and where I signed Jerry Lynn.

Thanks for the reminder Zeke. I was thinking I went to one but I thought it was at that disaster convention at the Cow Palace. I googled it and realized that that wasn’t it. But it was another convention. Good to know I’m not as lame as I thought I was.
