For some reason I find myself using them more in this game then in COTG or LOW. In my other feds they tend to mostly come down with the wrestler but rarely get involved. I think it might be having individual interference charts for each person that does it.

4/8/80 San Francisco, CA - card #10
Gorilla Typhoon: Welcome to The Show. This is the last one before our super card, Wrestle Bowl.
KC: That's right Gorilla. This Sunday we will be in Pasadena to crown the very first RCW World Champion. Those eight men are just lucky I'm retired otherwise they wouldn't have a chance.
Gorilla Typhoon: Give me a break KC.
As Pelvis Pressly made his way to the ring for the opening match a video he recorded earlier plays.
Pelvis Pressly: This Sunday RCW is having Wrestle Bowl and not only am I not on the card in a match, they don't even have me performing a song. What a waste of talent.
Pelvis Pressly vs Bug Buster.
The hip swinger was dominating early on. He hit his finisher, Heartbreak Hotel, and thought he had shown Buster what was up. However right before the three count Buster kicked out. Pelvis couldn't believe it. He argued with the ref about the cadence of the count. That allowed Buster to recover. So, when Pelvis went to climb to the top rope, going slowly and unsteady, Buster ran up and hit a belly-to-belly suplex off the top. Buster followed up with his submission finisher but was too close to the ropes and Pelvis grabbed it for the break. Momentum swung from one man to the other for a couple minutes then Pelvis found himself in Extermination again. This time it was in the middle of the ring and he tapped.
Winner: Bug Buster via submission. (***)
We see Mean Jeans waiting in the interview area.
Mean Jeans: I'm supposed to have an interview with The Thinker. But he seems to be running late. Ah...here he comes, oh my Lord! Who is that man mountain with him?
The Thinker walks into the area with a large, muscular man behind him. This man has long hair and is wearing a fur loin cloth with what seem to be wrestling shorts under it and straps crisscrossed on his chest.
Mean Jeans: Talk about your beefcake. The ladies will love this. He looks like a gladiator of old. Like a Spartacus or a Brutus or Marcus or something like that. What IS your name good sir?
Man: It is Cimmerian the Barbarian and...
Suddenly The Thinker pokes the man in the chest and cuts him off
The Thinker: What did I tell you about talking meathead? You don't talk unless I ask you a question or I tell you too. You especially do not talk to nobodies like this ham and egger. Got it? And another thing, your name is He-Beast the Barbarian. Get it thru that think skull of yours.
Mean Jeans: Hey now, I resent that remark.
The Thinker: You resemble it too. Now this man is my personal bodyguard. He protects me and Jet Set. We need it now and even more so after Jet Set becomes the World Champion. But the meathead is not the big news. This is. Someone off camera hands him a t-shirt. He shows it to the camera. It has a silhouette of The Thinker sitting on a rock, deep in thought. Above it is his name "The Thinker" and below it it says, "No one can out think me". The Thinker: Isn't that great. I'm gonna make a ton of money when all those dweebs and losers rush out to hand over their hard-earned money for one. Or three even. So, when are we back from commercial so we can start this interview?
Mean Jeans: We've been back and it's been going on since you finally got here.
The Thinker's face freezes as the reality of the situation sets in. He slowly turns toward the camera. Then he explodes, hitting Mean Jeans with his t-shirt before storming off, yelling at He-Beast to follow him.
--- commercials including for Wrestle Bowl, viewable only on Closed-Circuit TV ---
A video montage of Rad Racer training with Mr. Bonsai. We see him jacking Mr. Bonsai's car over and over. Then hammering fence posts into the ground. Next, he is stringing up barbed wire to the posts, sticking himself a couple times. Finally Rad and Bonsai are having lunch and trying to catch a fly with chopsticks. They are not having any success when Bug Buster comes in and kills the fly with a fly swatter. He looks at both of them, shrugs his shoulders and leaves. He comes right back, grabs an egg roll off a serving dish, takes a bit then leaves again.
Colbalt Commander vs Mighty Leo.
This was a short match. The Commander hit Leo with a backhand that didn't faze him. The Leo pounced on Colbalt. He used a faceclaw among other moves to wear Colbalt down and finished him with Thunderstrike.
Winner: Might Leo by pinfall. (*)
--- commercials including for the first The Show after Wrestle Bowl held in Los Angeles ---
A promo for Wrestle Bowl looking at all the hot action.
- 8 Man Tournament to crown the World Champion.
- Pierre the Enormous vs Hammerhead.
- Rad Racer vs Johnny Kobra.
Gorilla Typhoon: Sunday is going to be a lot of fun. We have some surprise celebrities that will be joining us. Hopefully you already got your tickets as we are sold out. If not, join us by watching on Closed-Circuit TV. Also, join us two days after that in LA. We will have the new World Champion on The Show and also two tag teams that have been tearing it up in the LA and California wrestling scene. Now, let's go to the ring for a match that was supposed to happen a couple weeks ago.
Blood and Gore w/The Gargoyle vs Ace Arcadium and Star Boy.
Skullgore and Star Boy exchanged holds with each man getting on a short run only to be countered by the other. Then Star Boy started rocking Skullgore. He tagged Ace in who kept momentum going for his team. After a couple unsuccessful pin attempts, the second following his finisher, Ace tagged Star Boy in. He quickly hit his Somersault Kick finisher. As Star Boy made the cover Keith Blood looked at The Gargoyle expecting him to do something, but he was jawing with a couple kids in the front row. Skullgore was able to kick out as it was. Star Boy kept on the attack and secured the pin after a missel dropkick.
Winner: Ace Arcadium and Star Boy via pinfall. (**)
Keith Blood hops off the apron. Holding his hands out, palms up, he talks aggressively to The Gargoyle who pleads his case.
Before the show ends the camera is in back where one of the ring crew is pointing down the hall where for reason a phone booth is sitting there. It looks like a man is in there, his back to the camera. The camera turns back toward the ring crew member who looks confused. He gestures back toward the phone booth and looks dumbfounded. The camera pans back down the hall and the phone booth is gone.

Wrestle Bowl 4/13/80 - Pasadena, CA
The show starts with a video recording from Super Bowl MVP, Terry Bradshaw.
Terry Bradshaw: Welcome everybody to Wrestle Bowl. It should be a great night of action. Few months back, right here in the Rose Bowl, the Pittsburg Steelers were crowned World Champions of the NFL. Tonight, someone gets crowned the Word Champion of RCW. I thought "Mean" Joe Greene was scary. He is like a pussycat compared to some of the guys in RCW. Well, enjoy the show.
We go live to the Rose Bowl as fireworks go off and a jet fighter flies over. Cheryl Ladd is in the ring and sings the National Anthem. Then Billy Martin enters the ring and welcomes everyone to Wrestle Bowl. He talks about the 8 Man Tournament and we see a graphic showing the brackets. On one side, Lazer vs Skullgore with the winner facing the winner of Arizona Chance vs Dark Invader. On the other side, Jet Set Strutter vs Bug Buster with the winner facing the winner of Red Pirate Rogers vs Colbalt Commander. Then the camera goes to the announcer's desk.
Gorilla Jeans: Welcome to Wrestle Bowl. The biggest wrestling card in history. What do you think about all of this KC?
KC: I think it's just splendid everyone did all of this for my return to California. It's the proper way to celebrate a celebrity like moi.
Gorilla Typhoon: Oh, give me a break KC.
Red Pirate Rogers vs Colbalt Commander in a World Championship Tournament quarterfinal match.
Rogers controlled most of the action and was never in trouble. He hit Swashbuckler and got the win to advance to the semifinals.
Winner: Red Pirate Rogers via pinfall. (*)
Blood and Gore are in their locker room with The Gargoyle.
The Gargoyle: Ok, time for your match Skullgore. Wish us luck Keith.
Keith Blood: Good luck.
After The Gargoyle and Skullgore leave Keith shakes his head.
Keith Blood: Luck? He got lucky when he was entered in the tournament while I sit on the sidelines.
Lazer vs Skullgore w/The Gargoyle in a World Championship Tournament quarterfinal match.
Skullgore tried to overpower Lazer at the start which was a mistake. Lazer took off and never looked back. The Gargoyle tried to distract Lazer and the ref but failed. Lazer slapped on his Lazerlock and Skullgore tapped pretty quickly.
Winner: Lazer by submission. (*)
In the back we see actors Tom Wopat (Luke Duke), John Schneider (Bo Duke) and Sorrell Booke (Boss Hogg) of Dukes of Hazzard having a discussion on who they think will win the tournament. Tom and John are behind Lazer while Sorrell supports Jet Set. Sorrell is getting heated when Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke) walks by in her short shorts. She smiles at the three men and just like that the disagreement is over as all three men smile and stare at her.
Jet Set Strutter w/The Thinker and He-Beast vs Bug Buster in a World Championship Tournament quarterfinal match.
Jet Set showed how focused he is as he went on the attack right away and put Buster away in short order with his Six-Figure Leg Lock finisher. He advances to face Red Pirate Rogers.
Winner: Jet Set Strutter via submission. (*)
As they leave to the back, The Thinker has He-Beast the Barbarian hand out his new T-shirt to some ringside fans.
Gorilla and KC discuss the last quarterfinal match. It is between two men who have had a rivalry growing recently. They even had a match that was won by Arizona earlier in the month.
Arizona Chance vs Dark Invader in a World Championship Tournament quarterfinal match.
This was the best match of the opening round. The two men put up a good fight. Arizona leveled Invader with a flying clothesline. Then he went for the kill shot with a Last Crusade. Arizona will face Lazer for the chance to go to the finals.
Winner: Arizona Chance by pinfall. (** 1/2)
KC: Man, Dark Invader looks like he was flattened by a rolling boulder.
Gorilla Typhoon: Give me a...well, that was kinda funny actually.
Mean Jeans is in back going over some notes. A high-pitched sound is heard from around the corner. He walks over and looks down the hall. Standing there is a phone booth. Inside are two young men who open the door and walk out. They are wearing jeans and rock band T-shirts. One is blond and the other had black hair. The blond speaks.
Will: Greetings old time dudes. I am Will and my companion is Fred. Together we are known as...
Both men: Stallions Gone Wild.
They both proceed to shred on air guitars.
Fred: That's right. We are from the future. (He places left hand on his heart and swings his right out in a gesture of some type) We are on a most righteous adventure looking for action. We heard that the RCW was an excellent place to find just that.
Will: That is quite so Fred. So, old dude. Can you take us to the much older dude who runs this most bodacious and...radical...(both men giggle) wrestling company so we can see about joining in on the hot action?
A slack jawed Mean Jeans nods his head and leads then off, assumingly to Commissioner Mr. Codger's office.
A video look at the feud between Johnny Kobra and Rad Racer that led to the next match.
Rad Racer w/Mr. Bonsai vs Johnny Kobra.
After the bell Johnny bowed to Rad. Then Rad decided to return the gesture. Big mistake as Johnny didn't do it out of respect but to set up a sneak attack. Johnny had an opening offensive flurry. Rad Racer has been training hard so he was able to fight back. Both men did great with moves and counters. Then Johnny started taking shortcuts. Mr. Bonsai was getting frustrated down on the floor. When Johnny hit a Leg Sweep, Mr. Bonsai tried to get the ref's attention to no avail. A cover and a three count.
Winner: Johnny Kobra via pinfall. (***)
Mr. Bonsai checks on Rad after the match. Rad appears a bit sore but not in too bad of shape.
Sherman Hemsley (George Jefferson) is strutting in a back hallway. He stops short when he sees The Piranha.
Sherman Hemsley: Good Lord! What are you?
The Piranha: I'm The Piranha.
Sherman Hemsley: Is that so? Do you know Charlie the Tuna?
It looks like The Piranha is about to explode. Security rush over to calm him down as officials usher Sherman away from the area.
Gorilla Typhoon: What a night it's been so far. Now it's time for the tournament semifinal matches.
Jet Set Strutter w/The Thinker and He-Beast vs Red Pirate Rogers in a World Championship Tournament semifinal match.
Jet Set is on a mission and nothing will stop him from what he wants. Rogers got in a couple moves then after tossing Jet Set into the ropes he telegraphed his intentions as he bent over too soon. Jet Set stunned him with a DDT. Then Jet Set stood up, motioned he was going for his finisher and put Rogers in the Six-Figure Leg Lock. Rogers held out for a while but finally gave up. This match was barely over a minute. Rogers needed help to walk to the back.
Winner: Jet Set Strutter via submission. (*)
After the match The Thinker came over with a towel and fanned Jet Set before pretending to wipe sweat off of him.
Jet Set: That was a war. A match for the ages. But who won, whoooooooo? This guy. Who is going to the finals and will win the World title, whoooooooo? This guy.
A promo for the next The Show where we will hear from the new, and first, RCW World Champion. Also, a hot tag team match between two up and coming tag teams.
Lazer vs Arizona Chance in a World Championship Tournament semifinal match.
Both men shook hands in a sign of respect to start the match. It was a good match that was fairly even. Then The Thinker and He-Beast the Barbarian came out to ring side. Anytime Lazer got close to the ropes The Thinker or He-Beast would swipe at his feet. They never made contact, but they distracted him and it probably cost him the match. Arizona finished him off with Last Crusade. He will go on to face Jet Set to become the first RCW World Champion.
Winner: Arizona Chance by pinfall. (* 1/2)
A promo from Rex Spectrum.
Spectrum: Hello everybobobobobobobody. It's your pal Spectrum. On the next The Show we, we, we, we, will be, be in my hometown, L A A A A A A A. I will be hosting an epepepisode of Across from the Spectrum. I will be interviewing one of the hot hot hottttest tag teams in the L A A A wrestling scene. The All-Night Rocking Express. We will find, find, find out a bit about who they ARE. See, see, see, see ya there amigos.
A video package looking at what lead to the match between Pierre the Enormous and Hammerhead. That match is next.
Pierre the Enormous vs Hammerhead.
As Pierre made his way slowly to the ring he kept pointing toward Hammerhead. Once the match started it was a war. Hammerhead hit Pierre with no effect. Pierre tried to return fire but the Russian avoided the swipes. Finally, Hammerhead's punches started to stun the big man.
Hammerhead went for a quick win with a Soviet Sledge. A cover and Pierre kicked out with authority at one. As Pierre started to get to his feet Hammerhead slammed into him sending him crashing thru the ropes and onto the floor. Hammerhead followed him and tossed Pierre into the ring side barricade making it move almost a couple feet. Hammerhead rolled into the ring as the ref started to count. Pierre was slow to move but got back in at the eight count. Hammerhead wasted no time jumping on him. He hit a Russian Sickle and got a two count. It seemed that all of his offense was taking a toll on Hammerhead's energy as he was slowing down. He tried a one-handed choke. Pierre just scowled at him and shoved him away.
It was Pierre's time to go on the attack. Bodyslams and two-handed chokehold started to wear Hammerhead down. Pierre was getting madder and madder. He lifted Hammerhead and tossed him over the top rope. Hammerhead was in a bad way. He crawled back into the ring between the nine and ten count.
Then Pierre showed his mean side. He hit a Ginormous Drop then lifted Hammerhead before the ref could make the three count. He hit it again, put one hand on Hammerhead and lifted it off before the ref could complete the count. The ref asked him what he was doing. Pierre then put the Russian in his Double Chug Bearhug. It looked like Hammerhead was about to submit when Pierre released the hold and let him fall to the mat. Pierre then repeated the action. The ref got in his face and threatened to call for the bell. Pierre decided to end the match. He hit a big boot then placed one foot on Hammerhead.
Winner: Pierre the Enormous by pinfall. (****)
Betty White (Mary Tyler Moore, numerous afternoon game shows) and Gary Burghoff (Radar on M*A*S*H) come out and sit at a ring side table. Then the World Championship belt is brought out and placed on the table. The belt is fantastic looking with the Earth on the faceplate.
Jet Set Strutter w/The Thinker and He-Beast the Barbarian vs Arizona Chance in the World Championship Tournament final.
Jet Set came down wearing a new, flashy, expensive looking robe. When the match started, Jet Set went for his quick start but Arizona countered it. Arizona was the one on fire here. He hit Last Crusade early on. The only thing that kept him from the win and World title was The Thinker putting Jet Set's leg on the rope then pointing to it before the ref counted there.
Arizona kept the pressure on. He hit his finisher a second time. The Thinker got on the apron and yapped nonstop at the ref. Finally, the ref had enough and got up to tell The Thinker to get down. He turned around and caught Jet Set hitting Arizona with a Mexican uppercut. The ref threatened him with a DQ but he didn't do it due to so much on the line. Jet Set went to work on Arizona's leg then applied the Six-Figure Leg Lock. You could see the strain on Arizona's face as he was in immense pain. He didn't want to submit with the World title on the line. Eventually the pain was too much. He tapped out.
Winner: Jet Set Strutter via submission to win the World Championship.
The Thinker gets in the ring and celebrates with Jet Set as fans boo. Betty and Gary enter the ring with the title belt. After placing it around Jet Set's waist he plants a kiss on Betty White.

The Pierre match started bad for him. I was disappointed, at first, on how Hammerhead was dominating him. But the dice knew what they were doing. Just made it more dramatic when Pierre made the comeback. Thanks for following.

4/15/80 Los Angeles, CA - card #11
After the opening video we get a video package of some of the highlights from Wrestle Bowl. Then we are live as we see new RCW World Champion Jet Set Strutter making his way to the ring accompanied by The Thinker and He-Beast the Barbarian. They walk down the entrance ramp which is lined on both sides by half a dozen stunning women in evening dresses who are clapping. The three men enter the ring.
The Thinker: We told you. We told you all. We told you that Jet Set would win the World title and he did.
As Jet Set points to the belt around his waist, the entrance music for Lazer plays. He comes out to a loud pop and makes his way to the ring.
Lazer: Congratulations. You sure did do as you said you'd do. You are the champ. Of course, you didn't beat...me.
Jet Set Strutter: That is true. I didn't get to face you. That is because Arizona Chance beat you and then I beat him.
With that Arizona Chance's music plays and he comes down to join the others.
Arizona Chance: You are correct. You did beat me. Yooooooooooooooooou. (As he stretched it out, he looked at Jet Set, then turned his gaze toward The Thinker and finally He-Beast) Now, I was just in Mr. Codger's office and we had a nice chat. He had a splendid idea. A rematch between me and Lazer. The winner gets the first title shot at you. Oh, one last thing. If either of you three come down to ringside during the match between Lazer and I, you will be stripped of your title.
As Jet Set and The Thinker start throwing a fit, Arizona and Lazer shake hands then leave the ring.
Gorilla Typhoon: Wow, that is some big news. Soon we will get a rematch of Arizona and Lazer. Then the winner gets a title shot against Jet Set. For now, let's get to the ring for our opening match.
As the men make their way down to the ring, we see a man in the front row who is identified as Danger Zone. He was the jet fighter pilot who did the fly over at the beginning of Wrestle Bowl. He smiles and waves at the camera.
Star Boy vs Tennis Pro w/Valley Girl and Ball Boy.
These two have had a nice feud brewing. This match was really good for about 3-4 minutes. Both men got in some offene. When the match went to the floor the two started brawling. Either on purpose or just reflex, Pro reached for his tennis racquet that was on the apron and smashed Star Boy with it. That brought a quick end to an enjoyable match.
Winner: Star Boy by disqualification. (**)
--- commercials including for Disney Land ---
Across from the Spectrum.
Rex Spectrum welcomes us to his talk show as only he can. Then he welcomes his guests, Chet Skye and Jesse Wild, the tag team known as All-Night Rocking Express (ARE). Chet is talking about how they are looking forward to taking on their nemesis, The Thrashers, tonight for the country to see. He says the two teams have been battling for dominance of LA for months now. Then The Thrashers, Cesar Sleaze and Dizzy Lixx, come out and confront ARE. Spectrum tries to rile them up and the two teams start fighting. The Thrashers get the better of the exchange before security rush in to pull them apart. Spectrum is loving the chaos.
Pelvis Pressly vs Rad Racer w/ Mr. Bonsai.
Another really good match for several minutes. Both men found themselves in trouble but fought back. At one point Mr. Bonsai hopped on the apron and tried to get the ref's attention but the ref looked over his head. Couple minutes later Mr. Bonsai got on the apron again. This time Pelvis pointed toward him. When the ref turned his head Pelvis grabbed his guitar. Since the ref again didn't see the short manager, he quickly turned back to the match just in time to see Pelvis swing the guitar and break it over Racer's head.
Winner: Rad Racer via disqualification. (***)
Gorilla Typhoon: Wrestle Bowl was a smash hit. Thousands saw it live and millions more on Closed-Circuit TV. Everyone is talking about it. There is some talk at the RCW headquarters about doing another super card sometime this summer. Watch here and keep calling our hot line for more information as it comes out. Well, we've loved out time in California, but this is our last show here. Next week we head to Boston as we tour the East Coast and move onto the Midwest. So come out and see us if you live or are in the area.
--- commercials including how to get tickets for The Show in Boston ---
We see Mean Jeans walk over to where Danger Zone is sitting.
Mean Jeans: Excuse me, I'd like a moment of your time. How are you enjoying the show?
Danger Zone: It's been great. Such a rush. Much like when I hit Mach 1 in my jet. Heck, I think I might give it a whirl.
As he is talking to Mean Jeans, The Piranha walks out and joins them.
The Piranha: So, you want to be a wrestler, do you?
Mean Jeans: Now hold on a second.
The Pirahna: Relax Jeans. I'm not going to start anything. I'm just curious...
He stops and is staring at something a few rows back. He then gets flustered and points.
The Pirahna: What in the great blue is that?
The camera pans to where he is pointing. A fan is holding a sign that reads, "The Pirahna fears Charlie Tuna".
Mean Jeans: Now calm down sir. You just got back from your suspension. You don't need any trouble. Head to the back and cool your flippers.
The Pirahna: Ha, ha. Look who thinks he's Don Rickles suddenly.
Mean Jeans: Let's go to commercials.
--- commercials including Radio Shack ---
All-Night Rocking Express vs The Thrashers.
This was almost over real quick. Jesse Wild and Dizzy Lixx began the match. Jesse and Chet hit a double team Neon Dreams. Chet covered and Dizzy barely kicked out in time. Chet kept the heat on then tagged Jesse. Another Neon Dreams but since Dizzy wasn't as off guard, he kicked out at two. Before long another quick tag and a tag finisher as the All-Nighters hit Torpedo Dropkicks. As Chet went for the pin Cesar tried to make the save. Jesse stopped him and the ref counted three.
Winner: All-Night Rocking Express by pinfall. (* 1/2)
The fans, especially the ladies, go wild. While a short match the All-Nighters were exciting with their fast pace.

4/22/80 Boston, MA - card #12
This show begins with a look at tonight's main event. Arizona Chance will face Lazer with the winner earning a title shot at RCW World Champion, Jet Set Strutter.
Blood and Gore w/The Gargoyle vs Stallions Gone Wild.
Skullgore and Will started the match. Skullgore worked over the young blond with little resistance. He then tagged Keith Blood in. Blood seemed to take joy in beating on Will. He applied Nightbreed but Will fought out of it. Skullgore was begging for the tag. Keith rolled his eyes but tagged out. Skullgore worked over Will some before hitting a Crossbone Body Block. Fred tried to make the save but was cut off be Blood. It didn't matter as Will kicked out. Skullgore couldn't believe it and argued with the ref. Then he hit his finisher again and made the pin.
Winner: Blood and Gore via pinfall. (*)
Not a good debut for Stallions. It didn't seem to bother them as Fred checked on Will then both shrugged and returned to the back with smiles on their faces and a spring in their step.
Pelvis Pressly comes down and enters the ring. He talks about how he can't find any opponents because everyone fears him. Fans boo but he keeps on. He says the other wrestlers are intimidated by not only his in-ring skills but his singing, guitar playing and dancing. He then displays those "talents" for his loyal fans.
--- commercials ---
Gorilla Typhoon: What action we have had and more to come. Not just tonight but next week as well. We will be in the Big Apple, the city that never sleep, New York. It will be a special night as we will be holding a four team, tag team tournament to crown the first ever RCW World Tag Team Championship. Two of those teams were seen last week and just signed contracts with RCW. The All-Night Rocking Express and The Thrashers. The other two teams will be Blood and Gore plus the team of Ace Arcadium and Star Boy. You do not want to miss the hot action next week.
A promo video showing Danger Zone working out in a gym while rock music plays. Then he looks into the camera and says he's working to get ready for his wrestling career. He looks forward to making his in ring debut.
The Piranha comes out for his match and is steaming. He grabs a microphone and rants about Danger Zone and his promo. He says he can't wait to get the flyboy in the ring. He is about to go on when Might Leo's, his opponent, music plays.
The Piranha vs Might Leo.
Mighty Leo dominated most of the action. Many times, Piranha would counter but could not get much offense of his own going. Mighty Leo kept shredding Piranha. By the end Piranha could barely stand. Thunderstruck put him out of misery. Mighty Leo let out a loud roar after winning.
Winner: Mighty Leo by pinfall. (** 1/2)
--- commercials including for The Show in New York ---
The Thinker comes down to the announcer's desk.
Gorilla Typhoon: What are you doing out here? You are banned from the main event.
KC: Show some respect Gorilla. This is the smartest man in RCW and the manager of our World Champion.
The Thinker: Thank you KC. It's nice to see some class on the announcing team. It's a shame you have to put up with a baboon.
Gorilla Typhoon: That's Gorilla.
The Thinker: Whatever. Don't get your loincloth in a bundle. I will be gone before the match starts. I just came out here to address a rumor going around. People think Jet Set is Batman. Just because he's a rich playboy does not make him Batman. Just because he has a butler named Alfred doesn't make him Batman. Just because he's out most of the night does not make him Batman. Just because the ladies lineup outside his mansion wanting to have a turn sliding down the Batpole does not make him Batman.
Gorilla Typhoon: So, you are saying Jet Set is not Batman.
The Thinker: I didn't say that.
Gorilla Typhoon: Then what are you saying?
The Thinker: That those thing's don't make him Batman. I'm not saying he's Batman. I'm not saying he's not Batman.
Gorilla Typhoon: Give me a break Thinker.
An RCW official comes down to retrieve The Thinker and lead him to the back.
Arizona Chance vs Lazer for a World Championship title shot.
A good match that looked like kt would be a repeat of their tournament match that saw Chance win. But Lazer fought back. He almost got the win when he hit a superplex. Chance kicked out right before the three. Lazer wasted no time and took advantage of Chance being stunned, putting him in the Lazerlock. With what was online Chance held out as long as he could but ended up tapping out.
Winner: Lazer via submission. (**)
Arizona Chance took a bit to recover and get on his feet. Once he did, he shook Lazer's hand and congratulated him. Lazer made the belt gesture as the fans go wild.

Wow! A real tour de force on_the_edge! Very well done my man on all fronts. You're one creative dude. The Thinkers quasi declaration that World Champion Jet Set Strutter (congrats to him) may or may not be Batman was a scream. I will never look at those bat pole the same way again. By the way, I tried that fed info number but it's a whole different kind of 900 number now. After the 9th call I was totally sure of it. Truly a most excellent adventure!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I write and post for myself but always nice when it is appreciated. I needed a "Space Mountain" for Jet Set and thus we have the Bat Pole reference. Oh, I thought I had mentioned it is no longer in service. But I am offering a taste of what it is like to call the number. I am glad it only took you 9 calls to realize it. Must have been a REAL HOT hot line. I am enjoying 80's Mania as it is a great mix of parody and reality. I lived thru those years, as many on here have, so I know much of it. Some stuff I kind of remember and google/wiki the rest and what I do not remember I research. I am trying to keep it real to the actual time/events with of course some exceptions. Most of which deals with how the characters are throughout the 80's while I am starting in 80. Thanks again for following.

4/29/80 New York, NY - card #13
After opening video, we get one looking at the World Tag Team Championship tournament. Who will be the first Tag Team champs?
All-Night Rocking Express vs The Thrashers in a World Tag Team Championship tournament semifinal match.
What a match. This was probably the best match in RCW history so far. The Thrashers attacked the fan favorites before the match began. The first couple minutes saw them work over Jesse Wild. At one point Chet Skye came in to break up a pin attempt and a wild brawl broke out that The Thrashers won. Jesse tried to made the hot tag but Dizzy Lixx grabbed his leg and stopped him. Jesse used his agility to flip kick Dizzy then dived for the tag.
The next ten minutes saw frequent tags, especially from ARE, tag teams moves and numerous pin attempts. At different times it seemed one team or the other would get the win and move to the finals. The crowd was into the hot tag team action. They saw why these West Coast teams were so popular in California. The end came when ARE hit their tag finisher, Torpedo Dropkicks, and Chet Skye pinned Dizzy Lixx. It's a safe bet we have not seen the end between these two teams.
Winner: All-Night Rocking Express via pinfall to advance to the finals. (*****)
Gorilla Typhoon: Well, we are off and running. Whan an amazing opening match. Those teams showed how much they wanted the Tag Team Championship and the NY fans appreciated it. Next week we will bring this same hot action to Pittsburgh, PA.
A promo video with Danger Zone. We see him swimming in the ocean, running on the beach then playing volleyball while shirtless. Then he slowly takes off his mirrored sunglasses and looks into the camera. "Next week, I make my in-ring debut. See ya there."
--- commercials including for The Show in Pittsburgh ---
Blood and Gore with their manager, The Gargoyle, getting ready for their match in the tournament. Keith Blood looks at Skullgore as he speaks. "Let's go out and win us some gold. Just make sure you don't mess up. Hold up your end for once." Skullgore gives him a dirty look.
Blood and Gore w/The Gargoyle vs Ace Arcadium and Star Boy in a World Tag Team Championship tournament semifinal match.
Skullgore and Star Boy started the action. Skullgore was in control and hit an early finisher. He tagged in Keith Blood and both men glared at each other as they exchanged places. Blood went to attack Star Boy who made the hot tag. Ace went to work on the gothic lover. Ace with a Game Over and it was. It happened so fast that neither Skullgore nor The Gargoyle had time to try a save.
Winner: Ace Arcadium and Star Boy by pinfall to advance to the finals. (**)
KC: We now have our tournament finals set. The pretty boys of All-Night Rocking Express will face the geeks of Ace Arcadium and Star Boy. Wake me when it's over.
Gorilla Typhoon: Give me a break KC.
--- commercials including a Mother's Day sale at Sears ---
A video showing World Champion Jet Set Strutter and The Thinker having a good time at a New York club. They are surrounded by numerous lovely ladies. Standing to the side is He-Beast the Barbarian and Alfred, Jet Set's butler.
Bug Buster vs Colbalt Commander.
This was a bit of an upset as Colbalt controlled most of the action. He went to the floor and grabbed a chair. As the ref took it away and went to get rid of it, Colbalt seemed to throw some kind of powder into Buster's eyes. He then rolled Buster up.
Winner: Colbalt Commander by pinfall. (*)
--- commercials including some gifts for mom at Radio Shack ---
Tennis Pro is in a locker room talking on a phone. "I hear you. They screwed you over. Trust me, I know how that goes. I'm telling you, ya should join me in RCW. Oh really? So, you think he'd be interested too? Yea, talk to him and get back to me. Talk to ya soon my brother."
All-Night Rocking Express vs Ace Arcadium and Star Boy in the World Tag Team Championship tournament final match.
The crowd was torn between the two fan favorite teams. They cheered for both. The match was a decent one. Both teams showed some fatigue. Early on ARE had Star Boy cut off on their side of the ring. He finally was able to fight back. He hit a flying scissors on Jesse and made the hot tag. Ace really lit into Jesse who was showing the most fatigue from the opening match. Ace with a Power Glove than the three count. We have tag team champions.
Winner: Ace Arcadium and Star Boy via pinfall to win the World Tag Team Championship. (**)
