6/24/80 Atlanta, GA - card #21
Gorilla Typhoon: Welcome to Atlanta and this is The Show. We have a fun show for you this week. Might Leo defends his USA title in our main event. T.A. Templeton and the All-Night Rocking Express will also be in action. Plus, Mean Jeans will talk to former tag team champion Ace Arcadium. We are getting closer to our super card, Summer Blast at the Beach. We know of one match and tonight we will learn some more matches. Let's go to the ring for some hot tag team action.
All-Night Rocking Express vs Stallions Gone Wild.
A matchup of two fan favorite tag teams. While the match was no instant classic it had its entertaining moments. In the end ARE hit Torpedo Dropkicks and Chet Skye pinned Fred.
Winner: All-Night Rocking Express by pinfall. (**)
--- commercials including for The Show coming to Orlando FL next week, Clearwater FL the following Sunday for Summer Blast and then The Show in Lakeland FL ---
KC: Mean Jeans is standing by with Ace Arcadium in back. Take it away Jeans.
Mean Jeans: Thanks KC. I'm here with one half of the former Tag Team Champions, Ace Arcadium. So Ace, what is next for you? Will you and Star Boy try and win the tag titles back?
Ace Arcadium: I enjoyed my time teaming with the youngster Star Boy, however we had difficulties communicating as I spoke no Spanish and he barely understands English. So, we have decided to go our separate ways. I'm going to gain some more XP, level up and go after one of the single titles.
A voice from off camera is heard. "Dat is a good idea, da". In walks Hammerhead and he stands on other side of Mean Jeans from Ace.
Mean Jeans: Hammerhead. What are you doing, this is Ace's time?
Hammerhead: No disrespect to Mr. Ace. I just be happy. One less obstacle in path to tag team gold.
Mean Jeans: Tag team? But you do not have a partner? Or do you?
Hammerhead: Da. Well, not now but Mother Russia is preparing one of the greatest heroes in USSR's history to be my tag team partner. Soon he will arrive in RCW. When he does, we will be a team and soon have tag team belts around our waist.
The Piranha vs T.A. Templeton.
T.A. used his power to gain an early advantage. Then his lack of experience became apparent. The Piranha had T.A. in trouble and finished him off with a double face stomp.
Winner: The Piranha by pinfall. (* 1/2)
After the match T.A. was very upset. He felt his face and asked the ref how he looked. It seems he was more worried about his looks than his loss.
A promo for Summer Blast at the Beach. A look at the title already announced and some new matches.
- Jet Set Strutter vs Lazer in a Cage match for the RCW World Championship. - The Thrashers vs All-Night Rocking Express for the RCW Tag Team Championship. - Arizona Chance vs Tennis Pro. - The All Americans vs Stallions Gone Wild. - The Piranha vs Red Pirate Rogers.
--- commercials including for Underground Atlanta and its upcoming addition to the National Register of Historic Places next month ---
Mean Jeans: We have some new info on our hotline, 1-999-THE-SHOW. Recently we discussed a rumor of a big name in talks with RCW. It seems he has signed a contract and could make an appearance at Summer Blast. Want to know who it is? Only way to find out right now is call our hotline. Kids, get your parents' permission first.
Mighty Leo vs Johnny Kobra for the USA Championship.
The champ leaped at Johnny from the opening bell and never let up. He hit his finisher but Kobra kicked out. It was not much longer that Leo took Johnny out with a Giant Paw Swipe.
Winner: Might Leo via pinfall to retain. (*)
Stallions Gone Wild are strolling down a hallway in back in their goofy manner. They enter their locker room and stop short. Standing there is an elderly man with out of control wearing a white lab coat.
Will: Professor Gigawatt!
Fred: What are you doing here? I mean both this place but of course, this time too.
Professor Gigawatt: Gadzooks! Officials at Cyberdime Cryptocurrency Systems learned of your trip thru the time slipstream and our not happy about it.
Fred: Oh. Well, we will send an I'm Sorry Hallmark card when we get back.
Will: Yea or maybe one of those fruit baskets.
Both Stallions smile and nod their heads.
Professor Gigawatt: You don't understand. They are preparing to send The Annihilator back in time to retrieve you.
The Stallions look scared.
Will and Fred: That's bogus!

7/1/80 Orlando, FL - card #22
The opening video includes shots of Disney World and Epcot Center along with the Hall of Presidents and the fireworks show.
Gorilla Typhoon: Welcome to The Show and Orlando. Let me wish you all an early Happy Independence Day. This is our last show before Summer Blast. We have a good show for you including Pierre the Enormous in action.
Dark Invader vs Jobber Joe.
This time Jobber Joe was dressed up as a bellhop and rode a luggage cart down the entrance ramp. That ride almost lasted longer than the match. Joe went to jab Invader's throat but Invader stopped him. Then it was all Invader and ended with The Corruptor. After the match a couple of the ring crew came down, put Jobber on the luggage cart and pushed him to the back.
Winner: Dark Invader via pinfall. (*)
A promo video from Lazer.
Lazer: Your time as World Champion is coming to an end Strutter. In Clearwater, at Summer Blast at the Beach, I am taking the title off of you. Inside the cage it will be just you and me. He-Beast and your manager, The Stinker, will not be able to save you. Tick tock, tick tock.
--- commercials including for Summer Blast at the Beach ---
A video showing some of the RCW stars hanging out at Disney World. Funny parts included the Disney mascots in awe of the size of Pierre the Enormous.
Blood and Gore w/The Gargoyle vs Bug Buster and Rad Racer w/Mr. Bonsai.
Skullgore softened Bug Buster up then Keith Blood finished him off. When the Crucifix didn't get the job done, Blood followed it up with a ring post spike.
Winner: Blood and Gore by pinfall. (*)
We see Stallions Gone Wild and Professor Gigawatt sneaking around in the back hallways. It appears they are trying to avoid someone.
--- commercials including for the 4th of July celebration at Disney World ---
A promo video from Jet Set Strutter with The Thinker and He-Beast the Barbarian standing behind him.
Jet Set Strutter: Ha, you are a funny man Lazer. You think being in a cage will give you an advantage? It doesn't matter to me where we fight because in the end, I will beat you. Who is the best in the world? Who? Whooooooo? This guy. To be the guy, you have to beat the guy. You can't beat the guy.
The Thinker: Speaking of thinking you are funny Lazer, my name is The Thinker. Thinker. Not Stinker. You got that stupid idea from fans holding up those signs. Well, I will show them. Instead of "no one can out think me" my new catch phrase is "no one can out SMART me". Yea that's right. I'm the smart one. I'm going to make more money off my new t-shirts with that. Take that you 9-5 morons.
Pierre the Enormous vs Colbalt Commander
The giant man dominated the match. To his credit Commander kicked out of a couple pin attempts, one after Pierre's finisher, and survived being in Pierre's bear hug finisher. A second Ginormous Drop ended his night.
Winner: Pierre the Enormous via pinfall. (* 1/2)
Keith Blood, sitting in a throne like chair, is in a dark room that is barely lit with some candles, some in candelabras. Out of the shadows a sultry woman in a tight black dress walks and stands in front of him. They stare and smile at each other as the show comes to an end.

Summer Blast at the Beach 7/6/80 - Clearwater, FL
We see the ring set up on the beach and chairs full of fans surrounding it. There is a long tunnel set up starting at a hotel across the street from the beach leading to right before the beach where the stage with lights is set up. That is how the wrestlers will make their entrance, from the hotel to the stage and then the ring.
Gorilla Typhoon: Welcome everyone to Summer Blast at the Beach here in sunny Clearwater FL. We have a great show for all the fans here and watching across America via closed-circuit TV. We have two title matches later tonight. Let's go to the ring to get the action started.
Dark Invader vs Danger Zone.
Invader used his power for an early advantage. Then Danger Zone used his speed to do some hit and run offense. It took a few Need For Speed finishers but Zone finally picked up the mild upset.
Winner: Danger Zone by pinfall. (**)
KC: Danger Zone does not know what he has just done.
Gorilla Typhoon: What are you talking about KC? He just won a big match.
KC: I find your lack of faith in the power of Dark Invader disturbing.
Gorilla Typhoon: Well, I guess we will see over the next few The Shows.
All Americans vs Stallions Gone Wild w/Professor Gigawatt.
The All Americans were fuming over their recent suspension and took it out on the Stallions. It was an easy win for them that ended with a Grandslam Dunk on Will and Sugar Dunkerton making the pin.
Winner: All Americans via pinfall. (*)
Shortly after the match ended there was the sound of thunder even though the sky was blue and cloudless. The Stallions and Gigawatt looked at each other with nervous expressions before taking off like bats out of Hell back thru the entrance.
Red Pirate Rogers comes out to the ring for the next match. He is in the ring when The Piranha's entrance music plays. Rogers is looking toward the entrance as he's ready to get his hands on his recent nemesis. No one comes out. Then another camera shows the Gulf of México. The water ripples and the head of The Pirahna pops out. He exits the Gulf and rushes the ring, attacking Rogers from behind.
The Piranha vs Red Pirate Rogers.
The sneak attack was a brilliant move and complete success. The Piranha dominated the match and made the pin after a reverse piledriver.
Winner: The Piranha by pinfall. (*)
Gorilla Typhoon: If you are enjoying the hot action on closed-circuit TV you need to come check it out live. The Show will be in Lakeland FL this Tuesday. That will be our last appearance in the Sunshine State for a while. We've loved our time down here and look forward to returning. After Lakeland we will be headed to St Louis MO next week.
The Thrashers vs All-Night Rocking Express for the RCW World Tag Team Championship.
When ARE came out the women and kids went wild. The fans were expecting a fast paced, action packed tag team match and that is what they got. ARE started strong and using double team moves along with quick tags they had Dizzy Lixx in trouble.
Dizzy found a way to fight back. He tagged Cesar Sleaze then they performed Heavy Metal on Jesse Wild but couldn't get the pin. Sleaze hit Twisted Mister, but Chet made the save. Some more hot action then it looked like Dizzy had the pin of Chet, but this time Jesse made the save. It angered Dizzy and he grabbed his drumstick and performed a Drumstick Jab on Chet in view of the ref who called for the bell.
Winner: All-Night Rocking Express via disqualification. The Thrashers thus retain. (***)
Gorilla Typhoon: This is RCW's second super card and like the first one, Wrestle Bowl, it has been a success. So, RCW is proud to announce, before the second super card is over, that we are planning on a third super card. We cannot say much about it let but here is one nugget of information. We are in talks with best-selling author Stephen King to help with it. It's going to be something special. We will let you know when more information is available on our hotline.
Arizona Chance vs Tennis Pro w/Valley Girl and Ball Boy.
This was Arizona's chance to get revenge after Tennis Pro and All Americans jumped him. The match began with another jump as Ball Boy jumped on Arizona. The adventurer flung Ball Boy off his back and down to the floor. The distraction allowed Tennis Pro to sneak attack Arizona too and gain an early advantage.
As Ball Boy was helped to the back Tennis Pro worked Arizona over then hit a Tennis Racket Smash. When Arizona kicked out of a pin attempt Pro got mad and yelled at the ref about a slow count before turning his attention back to Arizona. A bit later Pro his his finisher a second time with the same results. Pro screamed at the ref longer this time and Arizona recovered enough to go on the attack. He had Tennis Pro in trouble. Pro looked toward Valley Girl for help but she was sitting on a lounge chair tanning herself. A minute or so later Arizona hit Last Crusade and got the pin.
Winner: Arizona Chance by pinfall. (***)
Gorilla Typhoon: Well kids, it's almost time for the main event. As the ring crew is setting up the cage for the title match between Jet Set and Lazer we will head to the back where Mean Jeans has some news on the upcoming The Show. Take it away Jeans.
We see Mean Jeans standing in a back hallway of the hotel standing in front of the door to a storage room.
Mean Jeans: Thank you Gorilla. This Tuesday on The Show we...
He is cut off by the sound of thunder and the door behind him shook violently as light shown from behind it. The sound of crackling electricity is then heard.
Mean Jeans: What in Heaven is that?
He flings open the door and enters the storage room. Crouching on the ground is a large, muscular man who is obviously naked. He slowly starts to stand up. The camera shot changes to focusing on Jeans face. He is looking down at the man then suddenly his head and eyes shoot toward the ceiling.
Mean Jeans: Oh boy. Um, maybe you should cover up big boy.
Man's voice from off screen: Yes. Good idea. The Annihilator requires your clothing. Take them off and hand them to me.
Mean Jeans: Me? I don't think so. My clothes wouldn't fit you.
With that Mean Jeans turns around and takes off out of the room and down the hall.
Gorilla Typhoon: What the heck was that?
KC: I'm not sure but that man's physic was almost as good as mine. Almost.
Gorilla Typhoon: Give me a break.
We see the cage around the ring. First the challenger, Lazer, comes out to a loud cheer from the crowd. He makes the belt gesture around his waist. Then the World Champion, Jet Set Strutter, comes out accompanied by The Thinker and He-Beast the Barbarian. Jet Set enters the ring as the other two stand outside of the cage. Jet Set struts a bit before handing over the title belt to the ref.
Jet Set Strutter vs Lazer in a Cage match for the RCW World Championship.
This match lived up to all the hype. It started with Lazer overpowering Jet Set. After only a couple minutes he got the champ in his Lazerlock finisher. It looked like Lazer would get the quick win. But He-Beast shook the cage and yelled at Lazer. Instead of keeping the hold locked in Lazer released it and kicked at He-Beast's hands.
Gorilla Typhoon: That was a mistake. He was on the verge of winning.
KC: That will cost him. See, that is why The Thinker is his manager. No one can out smart him.
After a bit of back-and-forth Lazer applied Lazerlock again. This time Jet Set got out on his own. He then went on the warpath and turned Lazer's chest bright red with Chops. A suplex and cover got a two count. It was then his turn to put his opponent in a finisher. Lazer was in pain as he was in the Six-Figure Leg Lock. He battled and countered the hold to get out of it.
Jet Set went to his bread and butter by Chopping Lazer. This time it only fired Lazer up. He kept asking for another. With each Chop Lazer seemed more pumped up while Jet Set looked more nervous. Then Lazer started tossing Jet Set into the cage. The champ gets a cut on his forehead and blood starts to flow down his face. Lazer is really feeling it and the fans are going wild. He slaps Lazerlock on Jet Set. The champ is pleading for help. He-Beast is shaking the cage wildly as The Thinker is cussing at Lazer. Finally Jet Set cannot take it anymore and his hand slaps the mat. We have a brand-new World Champion.
Winner: Lazer via submission to win the World Championship.
The crowd is going nuts as Lazer is handed the title and holds it high. The cage door is opened and He-Beast the Barbarian charges in, hitting Lazer behind with a forearm, knocking him down. The Thinker comes in with a metal chair and hands it to Jet Set. The former champ joins He-Beast in beating down the new World Champion.
Things are looking bad for Lazer when a familiar, if not in RCW, song starts playing. As The Beach Boys hit song, Surfin' U.S.A. blasts from the speakers the fans go nuts as they know what that means. Sure enough, a large sun-tanned man comes out. It's one of the biggest names in wrestling these days, Dude Brohan!
Dude Brohan looks around then points toward the ring. Fans are cheering to encourage Dude and he jumps on it. He rushes the ring and socks He-Beast with a right. Then tosses Jet Set into the cage. Next, he whips He-Beast into the ropes and takes him out with a big boot. Dude then turns toward The Thinker, smiles, points at him and looks toward the fans for their reaction. When they cheer Dude goes to grab The Thinker who was trying to escape the cage. Dude lifts him up and hits an atomic drop sending The Thinker flying thru the cage entrance and crashing onto the sand of the beach. The last thing seen is Dude holding Lazer's hand up and pointing at him while fans cheer then The Thinker looking up with a sand covered face and spitting sand out of his mouth.

That was one hell of a show on_the_edge! A cage match for the ages and a new World Champion in Lazer. The action was intense and co-featuring the arrival of Dude Brohan was brilliant. The Back To The Future/Bill & Ted/Terminator storyline hits a turning point. Enjoyed the nods to Dungeons & Dragons and Star Wars. Righteous my friend - really enjoying this!

7/8/80 Lakeland, FL - card #23
The opening video shows some clips from Summer Blast at the Beach. Then we are live and new RCW World Champion Lazer is standing in the ring with the World title.
Lazer: Who said he would win the World Championship at Summer Blast? This guy. Who did just that? This guy. In fact, this guy beat the guy which makes ME the new guy. Unlike my predecessor, I will be a fighting champ. No hiding for me.
The entrance music for Jet Set Strutter plays and he comes out to the stage with The Thinker and He-Beast the Barbarian.
Jet Set Strutter: Cool your heels, champ. Sure, you can get lucky and beat me once on a certain day. But can you beat me twice in the same night? No, no way. That is why I'm challenging you to a two out of three falls match. Let's do this thing one more time. So, I can show you how it's done and how you just ain't in my league champ.
The Thinker: Don't worry your pretty painted little head trying to decide to accept or not. It's a done deal. See, when you signed the contract for your title shot, I had a clause in there that on the outside chance you got lucky, my man Jet Set got an automatic rematch. So, all that needs to be decided is when and where. I keep telling you all, no one can out smart me.
Gorilla Typhoon: We are off and running on another The Show. Those that watched Summer Blast on closed-circuit TV, or maybe called our hotline 1-999-THE-SHOW weeks ago, know we have a new wrestler in RCW. One of the biggest names in the business, Dude Brohan. Mean Jeans will talk to him later this evening.
KC: Eh, he's not a movie star like me.
Gorilla Typhoon: What are you talking about? He recently had a role in Jockey 3. That movie series about a plunky horse jockey from Philly that dreams about winning the Triple Crown.
KC: Please, if ya sneezed during the movie you'd miss his small part. I'm gonna be in my movie much longer.
The Piranha vs T.A. Templeton.
Templeton asked for this match as he wanted payback from a recent loss. The Piranha has been on a roll including coming off a win at Summer Blast. He continued on that roll thanks to sneak attacking Templeton to start the match. He dominated and won thanks to Outlaw Choke.
Winner: The Piranha via submission. (*)
--- commercials including a sale on pools at Toys-R-Us ---
Dark Invader vs Rad Racer w/Mr. Bonsai.
An even match early on. Then Rad tried to bodyslam Invader unsuccessfully. Invader reversed it and performed a Choke Lift. Invader was on his way to a win when Mr. Bonsai got on the apron. Invader did not appreciate that and went to grab him. Mr. Bonsai striked Invader with a palm and stunned him. This allowed Rad Racer to get back on the offense. A Tail Whip led to the three count.
Winner: Rad Racer by pinfall. (**)
Rad Racer and his manager celebrated the rare victory.
Gorilla Typhoon: Our time in the sunshine state is coming to an end. We move on to St. Louis MO next week. After that it's Lexington KY followed by Cincinnati OH. So, if you are in the area come out and watch The Show. We have great wrestling action and AC to beat the summer heat.
--- commercials including for the hot new toy, Rubik's Cube ---
In the interview area Mean Jeans is standing next to Dude Brohan.
Mean Jeans: I'm here with Dude Brohan who made a surprise arrival at Summer Blast. So, tell me, what brings you to RCW?
Dude Brohan: Bro, let me tell ya what's going on bro. RCW is where all the action is bro. Every bro knows the best bros wrestle here and the best bros watch The Show bro. Now bro, I could wrestle anywhere and be the top bro. Heck, I could be touring with KISS bro. Those bros were begging me to join them on bass guitar. But bro, I just knew that RCW was where I needed to be bro. A lot of good bros here but also some bad dudes bro. I will deal with those bros as I work toward the World title bro. My bro, Lazer, has the title now so I won't go after it bro.
Someone walks into the shot, it's Colbalt Commander. The two wrestlers stare at each other then Colbalt tosses something in Brohan's eyes. It looks like his Poison Powder. Brohan screams and grabs at his eyes as Colbalt runs off. Mean Jeans is calling for some help and water. Someone brings a cup of water that Jeans splashes in Brohan's face. Then medical staff come to check on Brohan.
All Americans vs Stallions Gone Wild w/Professor Gigawatt.
A rematch from Summer Blast. The Stallions did better and the match was more exciting. The Stallions were all over Dasher Hatfield and hit their finisher, Dual Air Guitar, twice. Dasher kicked out of the first one. Sugar Dunkerton pulled Will off of Dasher on the second attempt. Will went to the top rope and flew off recklessly. He took out Dasher and unfortunately the ref as well.
As Dasher lays there, Will tries to relive the ref. Sugar runs in, grabs Will and hits a slam dunk DDT. He pulls Dasher onto Will. The ref starts to come too. He crawls over and slowly counts. Right before three Will rolls his shoulder. Dasher tags out and Sugar goes to work on Will. All Americans tag and perform a double team move. Then Dasher tags Sugar quickly and they hit a Grandslam Dunk on Will. Ted looks to Gigawatt for help but he is busy writing something on paper and looking around. Sugar makes the pin.
Winner: All Americans via pinfall. (***)
As the Stallions were licking their wounds and trying to decide what went wrong a loud motorcycle is heard rumbling. It comes out to the stage and stops. A large man in a leather jacket and sporting dark sunglasses is riding it. Gorilla identifies him as The Annihilator. He gets off the bike and slowly walks toward the ring. The Stallions and Professor Gigawatt hop the barricade and run off thru the fans as the show ends.
