We have 6 matches for you, our great fans, and by special arrangement ANDRE the GIANT is in your MAIN-EVENT! His opponent non other than Ernie "THE BIG CAT" Ladd! Sioux Falls LET'S DO THIS!!!!
1.Blackjack Lanza vs. "Handsome" Jimmy Valiant.Lanza came to the ring sporting his half of the newly won GNW TAG-TEAM Championship belts, but Valiant wasn't the least bit intimidated. He was a man on a mission! He took it to Lanza right from the bell. They brawled inside, they brawled outside, the action was intense. Lanza was totally surprised by Valiant's tenacity, almost submitting twice to Jimmy's sleeper hold. Valiant had two more near falls, before getting the 3-count after a WIND-UP RIGHT HAND. After the bell, BLACKJACK Mulligan appeared from the crowd and they left Valiant lying in the ring. TIME: 7:34.
2.The Blond Bombers (Swede Hanson/Rip Hawk) vs. PG-13 (J.C. Ice/Wolfie D.)
Old school vs. new school in this wild match of contrasting styles. The Bombers taking full advantage of 2 outside melees get the win. Swede Hanson finishing off ICE after the second one, with a vicious PILEDRIVER. TIME: 10:33.
3.Frank Gotch vs. "Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers.
Classic match between 2 top-notch grapplers. Gotch was on his game and frustrated Rogers early. Buddy nearly gets DQ'ed after an outside exchange, but the action went back into the ring. ROGERS nearly gets rolled up for a pin after missing a splash in the corner, but he kicked out at 2. Gotch then went to work keeping Buddy on the mat, wearing him down with his famous TOE-HOLD. Finally ROGERS submits to a REVERSE NELSON expertly applied by Gotch. TIME: 8:42.
****INTER-MISSION****4.Austin Idol vs. Al Snow w/HEAD.
This one was all Idol. Fending off an early offensive by his opponent, Austin made quick work of Snow. Snow telegraphing a back drop...gets caught with a crushing Piledriver by IDOL. Seizing the momentum he quickly applies his LAS VEGAS LEG-LOCK and SNOW SUBMITS. TIME: 2:45.
5.Terry Gordy vs. "Million $$ Man" Ted Dibiase.Gordy entering this match undefeated in GNW, was facing a desperate win-less DIBIASE. Knowing he might be on the bubble Dibiase was all business. The bell rang, Dibiase bum-rushed the bigger Gordy hitting him with a solid clothesline, sending Gordy hard to the mat. He quickly applies the COBRA-CLUTCH and Gordy promptly submits! Time :40.********THE MAIN EVENT********
6.Andre the GIANT vs. "The Big Cat" Ernie Ladd.
The rafters shook as ANDRE was introduced and lumbered to the ring. Ladd gave a good accounting of himself as early on he matched the GIANT move for move, blow for blow. But as is usually the case THE 8TH WONDER OF THE WORLD, was just too much. After 2 valiant kick-outs by LADD, one after a clothesline, the other after a big bodyslam, ANDRE goes to his BIG SPLASH and pins "The Big Cat", and the crowd goes wild!!! TIME: 13:22.

Brian Sager: Great North Wrestling is back ROCHESTER!!! What an awesome turnout, you guys are in for a treat. Tonight's MAIN EVENT is a GNW INTER-STATE championship match as challenger MAGNUM TA squares off against INTER-STATE CHAMPION THE FANTASTIC OX BAKER.....LET'S DO THIS!!!!!
1.Nikolai Volkoff vs. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan.
Duggan started off hot in this one with 2 spears on the Russian, but could only manage a 1 count on the first one, and a 2 count on the second. He had a huge bear hug on VOLKOFF as well but Nikolai refused to submit. Volkoff manages to slow Duggan down with some powerful punches and tosses him outside the ring. Both men wail on each other unmercifully, and both nearly get disqualified, but get back in the ring. Once back in the ring Volkoff wears down Duggan and gets the pin using a BACK-BREAKER DROP. TIME: 10:18.
2.D'lo Brown vs. Killer Karl Kox.
Brown was all business and finishes KOX off in a flurry of moves. A FLAPJACK, followed up by a SIDE-SLAM, topped off with a perfect SKY HIGH... it was over that quick Brown gets the "W". TIME: 2:06.
3.The Valiant Brothers (Jimmy/Johnny) vs. The Texas Hangmen (Killer/Psycho). This was a solid outing for both teams. The Hangmen using the double-team, keep Johnny under duress and isolated from Jimmy early on. Jimmy when he finally makes the tag, uses his pent up anger and pummels both Psycho and Killer with heavy fists and stomps. And a choke and a poke to the eyes just to add some spice. All four men are soon on the outside, where Killer drives Jimmy into the rails and the ring apron. Barely beating the 10-count Jimmy rolls in under the ropes. There Killer stomps the prone Valiant, and goes to the corner for a deathjump! The big man takes too long taunting the crowd, and Jimmy rushes into the corner and SUPER-PLEXES Killer from the top of the corner to the mat! Only getting count of 2....Jimmy sinks in his SLEEPER, but too close to the corner Psycho breaks it up. Johnny rushes in and puts the boots to Psycho....and Jimmy executes a textbook NECK-BREAKER on the weakened Killer for the pin! TIME: 15:50.*****INTER-MISSION*****4.Terry Gordy vs. Bryan Danielson.
Gordy shakes off the effects of his first GNW loss (4/4/22) and gets back into the win column. His size and strength was just too much for the gutsy Danielson. Fending off a flurry of SAMURAI KICKS from Bryan, Gordy uses plain old power and gets the pin after a BAMM-BAMM SLAM! TIME: 5:43.
5.Jay Youngblood vs. Mike Graham. Battle of the UNBEATENS, winner gets a WORLD TITLE SHOT.Both men were riding a wave of momentum coming into this important match. Surprising everyone with their impressive starts here in GNW. Youngblood however wanted it just a little bit more. After some brief chain wrestling....Jay lands a fist to side of Mike's head then tosses him out of the ring. Outside he uses a snap-suplex on the floor to slow Graham down. It worked and a groggy Graham barely makes in back into the ring. He is met with a solid TOP-ROPE TOMAHAWK from YOUNGBLOOD who pins Graham 1....2.......3! Youngblood gets the GNW WORLD TITLE shot. TIME: 8:06.*****GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP**********MAIN EVENT*****6.Magnum TA vs. (CH) OX BAKER. Magnum wins by DQ.....Baker RETAINS his belt.
Magnum with crowd firmly behind him wastes no time, delivering a BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX right a the start but only gets a 2 count on the champ. After a brutal exchange of punches and kicks from both men....Magnum catches OX off the ropes for a POWERSLAM....again Baker kicks out....and promptly leaves the ring. Magnum follows and the fracas really starts to get out off hand. Baker hits Magnum repeatedly with a chair and the refs calls for the DQ. The crowd boos heartily as Baker gets his belt and leaves. TIME: 9:25.
Brian Sager: What a travesty we witnessed here tonight...I'M sure the GNW Commissioner and the Governing Board will be issuing a rematch....but that is for another time. Thanks fans for coming....get home safe....THINGS ARE HOT HERE IN THE GREAT NORTH....good night everybody!!!! |

BRIAN SAGER: Great North Wrestling is proud to be here in Helena tonight!!! Your MAIN EVENT will be for the GNW WORLD TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP. Chavo Sr. and Hector Guerrero "LOS VAQUEROS" vs. GNW CHAMPIONS THE BLACKJACKS MULLIGAN AND LANZA!...LET'S DO THIS!!!
1."Exotic" Adrian Street vs. Terry Taylor.
This was a hotly contested opening match. Street using shortcuts, gets the action outside the ring early dropping Taylor neck first on the rails outside. Avoiding the DQ, he nearly gets the win with a CRUCIFIX, but somehow Taylor kicks out. Taylor makes a comeback using his fists and some good kicks and returns the favor tossing Street outside the ring. Taylor uses a chair to deliver a payback shot then tosses Street back into the ring. Taylor gets the pin with a devastating deathjump clothesline, followed by his finisher the FIVE ARM. TIME: 6:47.
2.Mr. Wrestling II vs. SUPER DESTROYER.
Wrestling II's struggles after losing the INTER-STATE championship about a month ago, continued in this match. SUPER D made it look easy. Wrestling II charges at the bell, SD powerslams him without breaking stride. Then he uses a shoulder-breaker to do more damage. Wresting II tries to get the upper-hand but SUPER D was having none of it. He blocks an attempted punch and catches his hapless opponent with a swinging neck-breaker and then finishes him with a bulldog. TIME: 2:43.
3.Tully Blanchard vs. The Destroyer.Another surprisingly quick match. Tully whips The Destroyer into turnbuckle and charges. The DESTROYER meets Blanchard with a charge out of the corner, scoops him up and it's AIRPLANE SPIN time! After dumping the disoriented Tully to the mat, he quickly applies the FIGURE FOUR, and Blanchard submits. TIME: 1:57.****INTER-MISSION****4.Bobo Brazil vs. Ahmed Johnson.
Things have really gotten ugly between these two. Once tag-team partners and #1 contenders, now due to Johnson's need to break the rules even when unnecessary, Brazil and he are on the outs. This one was brutal and physical. 8 pin attempts (5 for Brazil, 3 for Ahmed) and 3 big brawls outside on the floor. Bobo's COCO butts, bearhug, back-breaker and a Bobo Slam couldn't get it done this night. It took a RUNNING BODY SPLASH from Johnson, after 2 failed pin falls (piledriver and scissor kick) to get the 3-count. TIME: 8:16.
5. Johnny Valentine vs. Jimmy "SUPERFLY" Snuka. ***30-minute time limit DRAW***Arguably the match of the night. This was a back and forth classic. Valentine survived not 1, but 2 Superfly Leaps, and Snuka weathered 3 ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERS from Valentine. The action spilled out of the ring 3 times. Both men were bloodied and battered as time expired with both men lying in the ring and the ref only reaching the count of 8. TIME: 30:00.***MAIN EVENT *** ******GNW TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP******6."Los Vaqueros" Chavo Sr./Hector Guerrero vs. (CH) The Blackjacks (Mulligan/Lanza).
The champs looked pretty in charge of this one, but the brothers Guerrero did not make it easy. Hector took a beating from both Blackjacks early on, who worked with machine like precision. Chavo makes a pin save early, breaking up a Mulligan CLAW. Hector finally makes a tag, and CHAVO comes in hot! He nearly pins LANZA after a sunset flip, Mulligan comes in for the save. Hector charges in and catches a big boot from Mulligan that takes Hector over the ropes and out to the floor. With the ref distracted, Mulligan drops an elbow across Chavo's throat, covers him with Lanza and gets the ref's attention. 1....2....3...AND THE BLACKJACKS WIN. TIME: 11:33.

Brian Sager: It's great to be home in MANKATO!!!....Great North Wrestling is ready, and we hope you are as well. Another big card tonight....both GNW singles titles are on the line.....LET'S DO THIS!!!
1.Sailor Art Thomas vs. "Playboy" Buddy Rose.
Buddy spent the pre-match introductions arguing with the crowd about his weight, claiming to be a svelte 217 pounds. Then when the bell rings he walks into the center of the ring and slaps THOMAS across the face. Big mistake as the powerful Sailor returns the favor with a huge slap of his own. As the stunned Playboy turns back towards his enraged opponent he is met by a crushing clothesline. Rose quickly pops back to his feet where he is caught by Thomas's Bearhug....and he has no way out but to submit. TIME: 2:12.
2. Big Van Vader vs. One Man Gang
War of the big men in this one!!! For most of this match it was an even contest, each behemoth getting their licks in. Both men nearly get DQ'ED outside the ring when the action spilled on to the floor. Vader slams OMG on the concrete and flings him back into the ring. Failing to get a pin on Gang, Vader loses his concentration for a moment and GANG mounts a comeback. Tossing VADER into the turnbuckle, OMG tries for the BIG SPLASH. But unfortunately, Vader raises the big boot right into OMG's kisser. From there it was pretty much over as BIG VAN VADER gets the pin using his VADER BOMB. TIME: 7:38.
3.Randy "Macho Man" Savage vs. Tatanka.
This match was a real slobber-knocker! Both combatants had pinfall attempts. Tatanka (2), Savage (4). Savage used the ring post at one point to get the upper-hand. Tatanka makes a valiant comeback full of chops and dropkicks, but in the end Savage was just too much. Savage launches his FLYING ELBOW SMASH on the prone warrior, and gets the 3 count. TIME: 12:16.
****INTER-MISSION****4.Nick Bockwinkel vs. JYD.Dog's raw power vs. Bockwinkel's knowledge and agility. Both grapplers had their moments of near victory. Dog gets a 2-count after a powerslam, Bockwinkel following a sunset flip. After a couple more frustrating attempts to submit JYD, Nick uses a short cut, delivering a kick to the lower extremities of JYD. After that Bockwinkel keeps JYD on the mat working on his legs. Then applying his FIGURE FOUR to the weary DOG who submits. TIME: 15:28.***GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP***5.Magnum TA vs. (CH) Ox Baker.Magnum determined not to let Baker disqualify himself.....AGAIN, jumped on the offensive early. Using his speed he kept OX off balance most of the match. This time when Baker went outside the ring MAGNUM quickly tossed him back in. After a series of right hands, Magnum Irish-whips Ox into the ropes and catches him with a perfect BELLY TO BELLY for the pin. The crowd roars as MAGNUM is declared the new GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPION! TIME: 8:31.***MAIN EVENT *** ***GNW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP***
6.Dick the Bruiser vs. (CH) Sgt. Slaughter.
The rugged, ragged BRUISER would not be denied. He took it to the Sarge early and often. Raining down the heavy forearm blows, and brutal kicks and stomps, he stuns the champ. He digs his claw into Slaughter's stomach and he nearly submits. The beating continued for several more minutes, then Bruiser finishes the helpless champ with a bone-crunching Tope Turnbuckle KNEE DROP to the back of the head. BRUISER is new GNW WORLD CHAMPION! TIME: 5:40.

BRIAN SAGER: GOOD EVENING, Milwaukee!! Great North Wrestling is in the house! Get ready for a night full of the best pro wrestling in the world! Dick the Bruiser will defend the WORLD TITLE tonight against the undefeated JAY YOUNGBLOOD, in your main event. But we have 5 big matches before that. LET'S DO THIS!!!!
1.Killer Kowalski vs. Jackie Fargo. Fargo wins by DQ.
Fargo comes out swinging with two hard rights to Kowalski's jaw. As Killer staggers back Fargo tries a dropkick. But Kowalski swats that attempt away, hits Fargo with two solid rights of his own...then he dropkicks Fargo through the ropes to the floor! Once outside Kowalski is disqualified for using a chair and pushing the ref. TIME: 3:10.
2.The Ge-STOMP-o (Von Raschke/Karl Krupp) vs. The Fabulous Ones (Keirn/Lane).
The German team was on point tonight in Milwaukee. They used quick tags and power moves to keep the Fabulous Ones on the mat, negating the agility and speed advantage of Keirn/Lane. After a double clothesline between Raschke and Keirn, and The Baron rolling over for the cover...Lane runs in disrupting the pin count. Krupp storms in and pummels Lane and tosses him out of the ring on his head. With Lane unable to assist Keirn the Germans get the win when Krupp unleashes his HANGMAN on Keirn....who submits. TIME: 10:24.
3.RVD vs. Rick Rude.
Rude takes early control of the match, and even gets a 2-count on RVD after a delayed back-breaker. RVD makes a comeback using his speed and agility to counter Rude's muscle-bound assault. After a flurry of aerial moves, Van Dam executes 2 monkey flips and a split legged moonsault for the 1,2,3. TIME: 9:43.*****INTERMISSION*****4.The Road Warriors (Hawk/Animal) vs. The Long Riders (Scott/Bill Irwin).
The former champs Hawk/Animal have little trouble dispatching the brothers Irwin this night. Scott/Bill never get any offense going. After saving Scott from the first LOD Doomsday Device, Bill is blindsided by Hawk and thrown out of the ring. Scott was then easy pickings for the second Doomsday Device. TIME: 5:41.

Youth vs. experience in this one! There was plenty of pin attempts by both men (2 for Bruiser/4 for the challenger Youngblood). Youngblood survives a huge offensive onslaught from the vicious champ. Bruiser's frustration begins to show as the match grinds on. He can't get the undefeated challenger to submit with his stomach claw, or pinned with any finisher he tries. They fought inside and outside the ring Youngblood holding his own. Once back in the ring Bruiser begins to show signs of fatigue and is eventually pinned by an awesome TOP ROPE TOMAHAWK CHOP from YOUNGBLOOD! TIME: 22:16.
