BRIAN SAGER: Welcome great fans of Saginaw MI! GNW is proud to be here tonight with the best professional wrestling has to offer! 6 big matches tonight, with the MAIN EVENT, GNW WORLD CHAMPION Killer Kowalski puts the gold on the line against Sgt. Slaughter !!!! LET'S DO THIS!!!!


1. "Bruiser" Bob Sweetan vs. Sailor Art Thomas.
Bob Sweetan gets in the win column finally, in this closely contested match. THOMAS uses his size advantage to leverage the shorter Sweetan. Using a superplex out of the corner, Thomas covers for the pin, Sweetan kicks out at 1. Sweetan gets a
2-count on Thomas after a powerslam. Thomas telegraphs a back body drop and SWEETAN catches him with a forearm smash to the back of the head. Then finishes him with a PILEDRIVER for the pin. TIME: 7:31.

2. Jackie Fargo vs. Bobo Brazil. 20 MINUTE TIME-LIMIT **DRAW**.
The crowd was treated to a wrestling gem by these two old-school grapplers. The game Fargo weathered 4 pin attempts by BRAZIL, 3 after Coco Butts, the other after a Bobo Slam. Brazil kicked out of a pin attempt by JF, after a roaring forearm off the ropes sent big Bobo to the mat. In between pin attempts this match was filled with action. Brutal brawling tactics by Fargo, and power wrestling moves from Brazil. The time expires with both men trading fists in the center of the ring!

3. JYD vs. The Super Destroyer. S.D. wins by DQ.
This was a back and forth power struggle. Super D gets the upper hand at one point with a choke on the ropes and several stomps as JYD struggled on the mat to catch his breath. Whipping DOG into the corner S.D. charges with an elbow raised. JYD moves aside and big Super D tumbles to the floor after hitting the ring post. The action goes outside the ring where JYD gets disqualified for pushing the ref. TIME: 10:25.

**********INTERMISSION**********

4. Tully Blanchard vs. "Playboy" Buddy Rogers.
In contrast to tonight's JYD/S.D. fracas this was the opposite, a wrestling chess match MOSTLY. Of course experience and knowledge favored Rogers, youthful agility and speed were Blanchard's advantages. Patience however was Tully's downfall in this one. His frustration over not being able to submit or pin the Playboy, caused him to take some shortcuts. Hair pull takedowns, a finger in the eye and a low blow, soon has Rogers seemingly incapacitated in the corner. Blanchard charges but Rogers deftly raises his feet catching Tully squarely in the face. After a few payback fists Rogers executes a textbook dropkick, sending Blanchard to the mat. There Tully submits to Rogers' FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE. TIME: 8:32.

5. Rick Rude vs. Dick the Bruiser.
Surprisingly this one did not deliver. Rude undefeated coming in, had no answer to the sheer brutality of the grisly Bruiser. He pummeled the Ravishing One from the git-go. Rude submits in short-order to the Bruiser's Stomach Claw. TIME: 4:00.

*******GNW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MAIN EVENT*******

Sgt. Slaughter vs. (GNW CH.) Killer Kowalski.
Seems the competition is so tough we can't keep a world champ for more than a card or two! Since Harley Race held the inaugural championship for nearly 3 months the title has changed hands twice in a month. This was no push-over by any stretch but the SARGE wouldn't be denied this night. This was his chance and he was ready! Slaughter's relentless offensive barrage was way too much for even a tough Kowalski to weather. It was brutal the number of kicks, punches and slams that Kowalski took. He survived 1 pin attempt (via a Slaughter Cannon), 1 submission (via Camel Clutch), before succumbing to THE COBRA CLUTCH. TIME: 15:15.

BRIAN SAGER: YOUR NEW GNW WORLD CHAMPION.......SGT. SLAUGHTER!!!! He will defend the belt on March 31st at THE GNW THAW BRAWL, against the former CHAMP HARLEY RACE! It should be EPIC! From Great North Wrestling headquarters in Mankato here's MEAN GENE OKERLUND!!!!

GENE: March came in like a lion, and here in THE GREAT NORTH is going to go out like a T-REX as we are 11 days away from the SOLD OUT GNW THAW BRAWL (PPV), which will take in ST. PAUL, MN on MARCH 31ST at the XCEL ENERGY CENTER! Bell time for this huge event is 4pm. Be sure if you didn't get a ticket to call your local internet provider or streaming service to purchase it via PAY-PER-VIEW because it is gonna be a doozy! BRIAN SAGER: Good evening fans, we are so glad to be back in OSHKOSH! The GNW is on fire, and we are so glad you are the biggest part of that! ANOTHER fantastic 6 match card, with a big TAG-TEAM main event as WRATH/MORTIS will face THE FABULOUS ONES!.......LET'S DO THIS!!!!!

1.Buzz Sawyer vs. Mr. Wrestling II.
A solid opening match. Buzz takes the offensive early getting a near fall via a MAD DOG POUNCE, Mr. Wrestling II kicks out at 2. II has the upper-hand in the middle stages using his grappling skills to slow THE MAD DOG down. After a double clothesline, II begins to wear down SAWYER. He uses his MILLION $$ KNEE LIFT no less than 3 times, but the gritty Buzz manages to kick out after each pin attempt. But in the end Mr. Wrestling II gets the win as SAWYER finally submits to THE FIGURE FOUR. TIME: 11:23

2.Dick Murdoch vs. Jay Youngblood.
The lanky and agile Youngblood remains unbeaten with a big win over the tough veteran Murdoch. After a brief feeling out process, the 2 men get down to brass tacks. With Youngblood countering each hold, the frustrated Murdoch uses a shortcut (throat thrust) and puts the boots to his downed opponent. Murdoch shoots Youngblood into the ropes, Jay leapfrogs over the backdrop attempt by DIRTY DICK, and catches the big brawler with a nice dropkick. The stunned Murdoch never recovers and is pinned by Youngblood's finisher the TOP ROPE TOMAHAWK. TIME: 7:12.

3.RVD vs. "Playboy" Buddy Rose.
RVD uses his quickness right from the opening bell, getting a 2-count on ROSE following a rolling firemen's carry that puts the Playboy on the mat early. Rose provided very little defense for RVD's speed attack. He did survive a VAN DAMINATOR (no DQ). The high spot for ROSE was a one count pinfall attempt on Van Dam after a series of right hands followed by a DDT.  But in the end RVD was just too much getting a pin via a cross-body block out of the corner. TIME: 9:21.

**********INTERMISSION**********

4.Austin Idol vs. Big Van Vader.
A marquee match-up on its own you would think, but no. This one was over early. After failing to put the MONSTER Vader to sleep, Idol got whooped. Shrugging off the effects of the sleeper Vader went full throttle on Idol. After two right hands, a VADER BOMB, SIT-DOWN SPLASH, and a resounding Powerslam off the ropes and it was 1,2,3....Vader wins! TIME: 4:18.

5.Jimmy "SUPERFLY" Snuka vs. Bob Roop.
Another very short match. ROOP just plain out-wrestles Snuka. Getting him compromised early, and pinning him with a bruising SHOULDER-BREAKER. TIME: 3:45.

********** MAIN EVENT**********

6.Wrath/Mortis vs. The Fabulous Ones (Keirn/Lane).
The subdued crowd, probably due to the two previous matches weren't disappointed with this one! The Fabulous Ones were tag-team perfection! Tagging in and out with regularity, and double-teaming with precision! They were never really tested by the younger, stronger Wrath/Mortis who could only muster a few power moves to slow down KEIRN/LANE. They did however prove to be tough to pin, with 2 attempts on Mortis, and 3 on Wrath....before the FABS double-team elbows put Wrath to the mat once again. Then Keirn wows the crowd hoisting up the huge Wrath and delivering the coup de gras, a HOTSHOT for the pin. TIME: 15:41.

BRAIN SAGER: Sadly, that ends tonight's festivities wrestling fans, but what an awesome display by THE FABULOUS ONES!!! GENE: Good evening one and all to the sold-out XCEL ENERGY CENTER, here in beautiful St. Paul Minnesota! We have a huge 8 match card tonight and all the GREAT NORTH TITLES are up for grabs, along with 3 future GNW title shot opportunities will be earned tonight....what says you BRAIN SAGER?

BRIAN: I'M saying this place is loud and rockin', and we are going to be talking about this night for a good while....LET'S DO THIS!!!!

1.Jackie Fargo vs. One Man Gang.
The battler Jackie Fargo shows no fear in this one, despite being shorter and half his opponent's weight. He barraged the big man early and often, even using the outside with precision. The action spilled out of the squared circle 3 times. 2 out of 3 went in JF's favor. He drove OMG once into the ring post, once into the steps, on the third time OMG drove FARGO nearly through the floor with a big jarring bodyslam on the floor. But Fargo took the beating and kept on coming. Using an object (unseen by the ref) he drops OMG to the canvas and pins him with a JUMPING STOMP. TIME: 10:12.
SAGER-- Jackie Fargo sends ONE MAN GANG to the showers with a loss!...what a great opening contest.

2."Ravishing" Rick Rude vs. Magnum TA.
Despite assuring his fans he wasn't looking past this match to his upcoming INTER-STATE TITLE shot, Magnum was bested by Rude in this one. The Ravishing One had a dominant performance tonight. He used leverage and power to get the win. He went for the pin 2 times unsuccessfully after slamming MAGNUM outside on the floor. A 2-COUNT after a DDT, another fail after an extended CAMEL CLUTCH (Magnum refused to submit), Rude then uses his RUDE AWAKENING to secure the victory. He gyrates over his fallen opponent as the crowd showers him with a chorus of BOOS. TIME: 8:41.
OKERLUND: MAGNUM TA is undefeated no more, as Rick Rude is victorious in this one. Hopefully Magnum can shake this one off before he goes after the INTER-STATE TITLE on APRIL 6TH.

3.Tatanka vs. "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert. Winner gets a future INTER-STATE TITLE shot.

Gilbert is on a roll, picking up the win convincingly in this one. Using his speed, he dispatches Tatanka with a barrage of aerial moves, eventually sending him crashing outside to the floor. There he uses a brutal offensive assault on the stunned Indian. Avoiding the DQ (after dropping Tatanka throat first on the rails) he tosses him back into the ring. Gilbert pins Tatanka after a well delivered DDT. TIME: 9:33. Gilbert gets the I.S. title-shot.
Okerlund: HOT STUFF continues his winning ways here in GREAT NORTH WRESTLING!

4.Los VAQUEROS (Chavo SR./Hector Guerrero) vs. Bobo Brazil/Ahmed Johnson. World Tag-Team title shot match.
Controversy abounds for Brazil/Johnson in this dismal effort. Ahmed and Brazil nearly come to blows after Ahmed gets DISQUALIFIED for using a chair. Until that incident they had things well in hand. Bobo voices his frustration to Johnson who simply shrugs and walks away. Bobo spins him around to  voice his displeasure and AHMED clenches his fist...and walks off. TIME: 5:23. LOS VAQUEROS get the title shot via DQ.
SAGER--- WOW what just happened....they were undefeated coming into this one...and now we don't even know if they are still a team....wow just wow.

********INTERMISSION********

5.Dick the Bruiser vs. Junkyard Dog. GNW WORLD TITLE SHOT MATCH.
JYD gets a quick 2-count after a vicious neck-breaker on Bruiser after a toss into the turnbuckle. The stunned Bruiser quickly powders outside the ring. Of course THE DOG follows hot on his heels. A punishing melee occurs outside the ring, Bruiser gaining the upper-hand after driving JYD headfirst into the ring post. Once back in the ring, Bruiser pounds the bloody JYD delivering 2 TOP-ROPE KNEE-DROPS....(2 pin attempts that end in 2-counts). Then DICK applies THE STOMACH CLAW to the weary JYD who submits. Bruiser gets the WORLD TITLE SHOT. TIME: 11:23.

6. Ox Baker vs. Randy "MACHO MAN" Savage. For the HELD UP Inter-State Championship.
Both of these men have a strong dis-like for each other, coming into this one. The former and last man to hold the belt, THE FANTASTIC OX BAKER, entered with a head of steam, jumping Savage from the get-go. Using BEAR HUGS and NERVE HOLDS, he kept the mobile offense of Randy at bay. After wearing Savage down, OX then used his power to batter the weakened MACHO MAN senseless. The gritty Savage did manage to kick out of not one, but 2 HEART PUNCHES. But 3 was BAKER'S lucky number and he gets the pin and the GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. TIME 8:50.

7. The Blackjacks (Mulligan/Lanza) vs.  (CH) The Road Warriors (Hawk/Animal).
Both teams tagged early and often. The tide turned when Lanza was able to tag out on defense. Then Mulligan went to work with punches, and kicks to Hawk. The Blackjacks kept him isolated from the eager ANIMAL who just wanted to get in the ring and change the momentum. Hawk rallies somewhat but fails to tag out...and then it happens he and Mulligan collide heads crashing in the center of the ring. With each partner willing their teammates to get up....it is MULLIGAN who recovers first. After some stiff boots he applies THE CLAW to the HEAD of Hawk. Luckily Animal was able to make the save. The big Texan applies it again....and with LANZA rushing in to stymie Animal's pin save, Mulligan pins the unconscious Road Warrior. TIME: 10:39. 
OKERLUND: For the first time since its inception GREAT NORTH WRESTLING has new TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONS....THE BLACKJACKS end the inaugural reign of THE ROAD WARRIORS!!!!

8.Harley Race vs. (CH) SGT. SLAUGHTER.
Sarge made this match a statement to the arrogant former champion Race! He used his fist to batter Harley early, and the CAMEL CLUTCH to bring the PAIN. It worked to perfection as clearly Race's back was injured. Sarge played with the wounded Race, like a cat does a mouse. The anguish on Race's face was agonizing. Finally Slaughter puts down Harley for the 3 count using his version of the PILEDRIVER. TIME: 9:37.
