Yeah,Ox has been a great surprise so far...the dice are hot on him....I wrestled him a couple of times back in '89...what a great guy. great fans! Your MAIN EVENT .... a GNW INTER-STATE TITLE match between the GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPION
OX BAKER (crowds boos), and the challenger RANDY MACHO-MAN SAVAGE!!!....(crowd roars loudly).....LET'S
DO THIS!!!!!
1.MIKE GRAHAM vs. Gorgeous George (w/Cherie Dupre). Graham wins by DQ.
The gorgeous one had command for most of this one, but failed to get Graham to submit to his figure four. Soon
the melee spills outside where valet interference via low-blow costs George the match. TIME: 6:45.
2.BOB ROOP vs. The Grappler.
Roop showed his superior wrestling skills right from the opening bell. Keeping the bigger stronger Grappler, on the
mat the majority of the time. Using the step over toe hold more than once, he wore the big man down. After a brutal
clothesline off the ropes, Roop uses a piledriver to get the pin. TIME: 9:00.
3.TULLY BLANCHARD vs. Bryan Danielson. Blanchard wins by DQ.
This match was fast and furious, Danielson took the fight to Blanchard. Tully proved a tough customer kicking out of 4
pin attempts! Blanchard had one of his own following a clothesline out of the corner, Danielson kicked out at 2. Back
and forth the momentum swung, each wrestler struggling to subdue the other. A cheap shot on the break, by Blanchard
infuriated Danielson....who went berserk and tossed Tully out of the ring via the top rope! Despite the ref's best efforts
he could not get Danielson to stop his attack outside the ring, and he called for the bell. TIME: 11:43.

4.Tatanka vs. ERNIE LADD. Ladd wins by DQ.
In a strange turn of events the BIG CAT gets the positive end of a DQ decision in this one. He dominated Tatanka
early getting a near fall via his ASIAN SPIKE, and another after using the rope to choke the resilient Indian. Tatanka mounts
a huge comeback with chops, kicks and an aerial assault, the frustrated Ladd goes outside for a break. Once outside Tatanka remains in control albeit illegally and is disqualified for ringing the bell with Ladd's noggin. TIME: 10:07.
5.Dick the Bruiser vs. THE DESTROYER. Destroyer by DQ.
Bruiser was relentless in his savagery on his stunned opponent. Using his CLAW on the stomach, head and even the face, he besieged the Destroyer without mercy. In desperation The Destroyer rolls under the ropes and hits the floor. Both men were brawling outside when BRUISER shoves the ref down and is disqualified(snake-eyes). Bruiser goes nuts using the ring post,
the bell...and a chair to bust the now motion-less Destroyer wide open!!! Security as well as some of the guys in the back had to rush out and remove the Bruiser from the ringside area. Destroyer is injured(3-cards). TIME: 12:23.
**************************INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP MAIN EVENT***********************************
RANDY MACHO MAN SAVAGE vs. (CH) Ox Baker.
Ox wastes no time on formalities and jumps Savage as he enters the ring. Clubbing forearms, vicious kicks and then tossing
the dazed Macho Man out of the ring. Ox tries to deliver a double axe-handle smash off of the ring apron, but Savage tosses a
chair at Baker (no DQ). Finally getting in some licks of his own he tosses Baker back into the ring. Sending OX off the ropes into a perfectly delivered running knee, Macho senses victory is near. A clothesline followed by a vaulting neck snap and SAVAGE covers Baker for the pin. TIME: 9:29. The crowd roars as SAVAGE hoists the belt high!!!

GENE: Goo......(before he can finish Ox Baker STORMS in with a bad attitude and a bandaged head)
OX: (Grabs the mic) You just go over there and keep your mealy mouth shut! Two nights ago, in MINOT ND I was robbed of my INTER-STATE title by that coward RANDY SAVAGE! And your Commissioner Bill WATTS, and the governing board of this company were in on it! The man hit me with a chair, and the ref stood idly by and did nothing. I, THE FANTASTIC OX BAKER and the fans in MINOT were witness to not only the COWARDICE of the MACHO "MAN?", but also the depths of depravity to which our Commish would stoop, to get my title away from me. If I were the one with the weapon I would be disqualified, probably fined and suspended! Yet when it is perpetrated on myself, by a desperate coward like SAVAGE, whom I was beating from pillar to post, everybody turns a blind eye! I'm taking over this broadcast until that YELLOW-BELLIED WATTS comes here and addresses this injustice!!!! The fact that I kicked WATTS' tail a month ago shouldn't mean he can abuse his standing to punish me because he couldn't back up his big mouth! GENE: Welcome back as stated before the commercial break, Cowboy Bill Watts, the current GNW Commissioner is here. The mic is yours..........(OX Baker enters the 2 men have a stare-down then Watts speaks.)
WATTS: First things first, Ox you know how I feel about you, your methods, your disrespect, everything in general about you sickens me.(Ox face quivers in anger). Nothing pleases me more than seeing you battered and title-less.(OX balls his huge hand into a fist)..........BUT and I hate to say this, YOU ARE RIGHT! Randy Savage should have been DISQUALIFIED for his actions in the Championship match that took place in Minot ND on March 9th. So having met with the GNW governing board we have made the following ruling:
RANDY SAVAGE has been stripped of the INTER-STATE Championship effective immediately. The Belt will be held up until March 31st at GNW THAW BRAWL, where Randy Savage and former INTER-STATE CHAMPION OX Baker will again meet inside the ring and participate in a NO DQ MATCH for the GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! The decision is binding and final, if you open your mouth right now you forfeit your spot in this match......do you understand MR. BAKER? (Ox grins and nods, then lowers his fist and exits.) Thanks for your time Mean Gene....now you may continue.(Watts leaves.)
GENE: You heard it here folks, what a bombshell....a match has been ordered for GNW THAW BRAWL, March 31st The Xcel Energy Center St. Paul MN, Savage versus Baker no DQ for the vacant GNW INTER-STATE BELT....we will be back to end this edition of UPDATE right after this....

3/12/2022 GNW ON TOUR (14) Flint High School Gym, Flint MI. Winner in RED.
ATTENDANCE: 8,668
*************************************************************BRIAN SAGER: Good evening wrestling fans, are you ready for the best in professional wrestling? Tonight, we will have 6 awesome matches, three will have CHAMPIONSHIP Title-Shots on the line! LET'S DO THIS!!!!**************************************************************1.Ahmed Johnson vs. JOHNNY VALENTINE.
After a fast start by Johnson, Valentine grits out another solid win. Surviving 3 pins attempts by AHMED, including one using his finisher (Pearl River Plunge), Valentine leaves the ring to catch his breath. Johnson follows, but the cagey veteran Valentine gets the better of it. After slamming Johnson into the announce-table, avoiding DQ, Johnny takes the action back into the ring. It takes 2 ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERS by Valentine to get the 3 count. TIME: 10:18.
2.TERRY GORDY vs. Ernie Ladd. Gordy wins by DQ.GORDY gets a fast 2-count pin attempt using a BAMM-BAMM SLAM after the initial tie-up. After a well-placed thumb by Ladd he tries to get Gordy to submit via Abdominal Stretch, but no such luck. Ladd gets a one count after a BIG CAT SLAM, then tosses Gordy out of the ring. Of course, a big brawl takes place, and LADD gets disqualified for using everything as a weapon (bell, chair, table, rails, steps, etc.). TIME: 8:22.
3.FRANK GOTCH vs. The Great Kabuki.
A strong outing for Gotch against an unorthodox opponent. Frank weathers an early martial arts assault from Kabuki, (sidekick, mystic spin and a throat thrust.) Tossing the ASIAN ASSASIN off the ropes, Gotch lands a perfect flying forearm the goes in for the kill. Kabuki submits to Gotch's Spinning Toe-Hold. TIME: 4:42.
**********INTERMISSION**********4.The "Ge-STOMP-o" (Krupp/Raschke) vs. THE BALCKJACKS (Mulligan/Lanza). Blackjacks by DQ, get THAW BRAWL TITLE SHOT. This was a brutal affair by 2 sadistic teams with a penchant for pain. A total of 9 pin attempts (4 Blackjacks, 5 Krupp/Baron). Claw Holds gone wild by both teams. Power move for power move, neither team would be pinned or submitted. Out of frustration KRUPP uses his riding crop on a bloody Lanza, gets caught by the ref and disqualified. TIME: 13:09.
5.MAGNUM TA vs. Mr. Wrestling II. INTER-STATE TITLE SHOT MATCH.
This match was a SQUASH of the first order. Wrestling II was uncharacteristically terrible. Magnum executed a turnbuckle clothesline followed by a BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX for the pin. TIME: 2:30. Magnum earns a future I.S. title match. *****************MAIN-EVENT WORLD TITLE SHOT MATCH****************
6.HARLEY RACE vs. Nick Bockwinkel. Race gets a THAW BRAWL WORLD TITLE SHOT.
Match of the night, Race looking to bounce back after losing the gold, was in a fight. Bockwinkel made a good showing himself using an Abdominal Stretch he nearly makes Race submit. He also used his figure-4 but Harley made it to the ropes. These two professionals gave a wrestling clinic before taking it outside. Race drives Bockwinkel into the ring post, then rolls him under the ropes back into the ring. There he uses a spinning neck-breaker to set up his PILEDRIVER. 1,2,3.....Race wins!! TIME:23:09.
BRIAN SAGER: WOW is all I can say fans....what a night huh? Magnum, The Blackjacks, and the great Harley Race...all winning their respective matches and getting shots at the gold!!!! Travel safely home....and GOOD NIGHT, THINGS ARE HOT IN THE GREAT NORTH!!!!
