Great North Wrestling held an epic card, to help raise money for the heroes of the Waseca Fire and Rescue Dept.......and the citizens of Waseca responded with a SOLD-OUT crowd!!!

Col. Debeers bested the ever-tough Hugh Morrus in the night's opening match. It was nip and tuck for a while, but the big South African imposes his will in the end, using a TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER to garner the win.
Time: (9:40).

Thunderbolt Patterson had his hands full with one Dirty Dick Murdoch tonight in Waseca! The big Texan (Murdoch) started fast and physical and had Patterson on the mat often. But after Dick charges into an empty corner, (vacated by T-bolt) the match momentum shifts in PATTERSON'S favor. Thunderbolt (3 tokens) finally pins Murdoch (2 tokens) after a DOUBLE THRUST, followed by his patented HEAD BUTT.
Time: (10:04).

In a clean, but rugged tag-team affair YUKON GOLD (ERIC/CHOLAK) get the victory over THE TAYLORS (CHAZ/TUGBOAT)....the overwhelming size difference between CHAZ and his opponents was the deciding factor. TUGBOAT was able to hold his own when he was in the ring, but when he needed a well deserved rest, tagging Chaz was a mistake. Both times this occurred in the match, it was disastrous for The Taylors. CHOLAK pins a totally spent Chaz with a ring-shaking EL SQUASHO. Time: (10:25).

**********INTERMISSION**********

The WASECA faithful were treated to a wrestling masterpiece after the break, between Wilbur Snyder and Taz. Both men were in top form and it was a "wrestling" match for the ages. Hold for hold, move for move, pin attempt for pin attempt, this was a beauty to behold. In the ending moments of this one, Taz gets caught in Snyder's ABDOMINAL STRETCH.....but manages to hold on until the bell rings!!! Both men exhausted, shake hands as the crowd stands and applauds. 20 MINUTE TIME-LIMIT DRAW.

**GNW INTER-STATE TITLE SHOT MATCH**
Arn Anderson is next for I.S. Champion Barry Windham as he defeated fan-favorite BWM Jimmy Valiant here in Waseca. Valiant of course doesn't go down without a hell of a fight! Anderson (1 token) is being hammered by Jimmy (2 fatigue)...when he instinctively almost subconsciously executes a DDT that takes the starch right out of Jimmy!
Time: (10:26).

**TAG-TEAM MAIN EVENT**
It was WILD.....it was CRAZY...it was every bit as exciting as advertised, when the ROAD WARRIORS and HARLEM HEAT waged war (the 1st time in GNW) in Waseca! It was a violent symphony of rage and power! Back and forth, both teams getting their licks in on the other. Hawk nearly pins Stevie Ray after a decapitating clothesline, but BOOKER makes the save! Likewise BOOKER nearly pins ANIMAL after a SIDEWALK SLAM, but PAUL ELLERING jumps up on the apron distracting the ref just enough, that when he finally gets into position to make the count, Animal was able to kick out at two-and-a-half! This battle waged back and forth at a fever pitch! The end comes with all four men in the ring. ANIMAL and STEVIE RAY are trading blows, while (the legal men) BOOKER T and HAWK are entangled across the ring, with Booker getting the better of things. He uses a HARLEM HANGOVER to pin Hawk's shoulders to the mat for the 1,2,3!!!

It was a bit cool outside, but inside the action was HOT....as Great North Wrestling once again makes a stop in Canada.
The highly anticipated debut of THE DOGS OF WAR, was on Canadian soil, with 3 of the four members in Action in Regina!

Ranger Ross (D.o.W member) started the night off defeating Buff Bagwell. The conceited Bagwell had things pretty well in hand for the majority of this match. But instead of getting a solid win, he decides to try and make an example of Ross. Refusing to hold the Ranger's shoulders to the mat , Bagwell kept pulling him off the canvas before the 3-count. During the last faux pin attempted, BUFF (1 token), shoots Ross into the ropes, where THE RANGER (3tokens) out of seemingly nowhere executes a picture perfect COMBAT KICK...and pins BAGWELL for the win. An irate Buff attacks the gassed Ranger afterwards, hitting him with the BUFF BLOCKBUSTER...before Slaughter and Pittman rush the ring...chasing him to the back. Time: (8:49).

Tiger Conway Jr. somehow got the win tonight at The Brandt Centre, over the dreaded KEVIN SULLIVAN. In an ugly encounter, Tiger wins, but only because SULLIVAN couldn't control his sadistic nature. He came in an decimated the youngster with raw violence, never letting up. BUT in his blind rage, KEVIN pulls a weapon out ,in clear view of the ref! He is promptly DISQUALIFIED for brandishing it, then he uses it repeatedly, opening up the battered Conway and leaving him a bloody mess on the floor.
Time: (7:00).

In a wild tag-team affair DOGS OF WAR members Sgt.'s Slaughter and Pittman faced some HARD TIME(Big Boss Man/The Trooper) in REGINA! It was a truly entertaining match. Both teams were sharp and brought THE PAIN! This was was too much testosterone to keep it contained inside the ring, and Slaughter and The Trooper get counted-out. Pretty sure these four will tangle again! DBL.COUNT-OUT, Time: (10:33).

**********INTERMISSION**********

The action just kept on accelerating after the break, as STAN HANSEN and Olympic strongman KEN PATERA locked horns! These 2 brutes, hammered and kicked each other, to the roar of the approving fans! Stan almost succumbs to the torturous FULL NELSON applied by Patera, But he crashes backwards into the turnbuckle, and PATERA loses his grip on the big Texan. Hansen then begins methodically breaking Patera down. After a ring-shaking POWERSLAM. ...he puts his opponent away with his trusty LARIAT.
Time: (9:27).

**SPECIAL NO DISQUALIFICATION**
6 nights prior, OX BAKER and HERCULES AYALA lit up The Amsoil Arena in Duluth, Minnesota with a SLOBBER-KNOCKER that ended in a DOUBLE DQ! Tonight these two were unleashed in a NO DISQUALIFICATION pier-sixer!! Again Baker attacks Hercules as he was making his ring entrance. Baker tosses a stunned AYALA over the railing into the crowd...then follows after him! The fight raged back and forth, the crowd whipped into a frenzy! AYALA hits OX with a steel chair...splitting him wide open! Baker gets AYALA up in the air and drops him through the time-keeper's table! Finally these two make it to the ring, where they trade punishment back and forth! After dropping Herc (3 tokens) on the top-rope throat first....BAKER (2tokens) unleashes his HEART PUNCH and this one is OVER!! Time: (12:46).

*GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH*
On a "NORMAL" evening this match would have been the highlight of the night. It was a good well wrestled hard fought confrontation. Arn Anderson was crisp and sharp, as he tangled with INTER-STATE CHAMPION Barry Windham! Lots of good holds and solid impact moves were displayed by both men. ANDERSON nearly pins Windham after a SPINEBUSTER, but the champ kicks at two-and-a-half! Barry fights his way back ,and uses the SLEEPER to turn Anderson's lights out, and retains the belt .
Time: (14:35).

The stars of Great North Wrestling lit up the Holt Arena, with a night of professional wrestling action!!!

The first setback for THE DOGS OF WAR, happened in our opening match as D.o.W. member Corp. Kirchner (in his GNW debut)fell to Al Perez in a solid opener. Kirchner showed that military toughness early on and nearly pinned Al in the opening minutes of the match with a SMALL PACKAGE HOLD, but Perez kicked out in the nick of time. After that Perez took things more seriously and he buckled down. After a measured and consistent offense wore Kirchner down, Perez makes the Corporal submit to his SPINNING TOE HOLD.
Time: (7:56).

Stan Stasiak was surprised in Pocatello, as he was taken to task by a spirited Brad Armstrong. Armstrong (2 fatigue) survives a heavy dose of of early punishment from Stan the Man, then uses his agility to overwhelm Stasiak. After a cross body pin attempt gets him a two-count on Stan (1fatigue), Armstrong follows that with a devastating 2 HANDED BULLDOG for the pin.
Time: (9:31).

Rock-n-Roll was alive and well tonight in Idaho! Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson were on fire as they defeated former World champions The British Bulldogs! It was a great match full of highspots from both of these fan favorites! Clean wrestling, fast tags, and precision double-team moves were on full display in this one. The night however belonged to Morton/Gibson as they pin The Dynamite Kid after a textbook DOUBLE DROPKICK!
Time: (12:36).

**********INTERMISSION**********

In a bit of an upset The Dirty White Boy defeated Diamond Dallas Page in a tough, hard fought confrontation. DWB managed to escape the match without feeling Page's DIAMOND CUTTER, (twice) and he eventually puts DDP down for good with a BUCKSNORT BLASTER!!
Time: (10:16).

***GNW INTER-STATE TITLE SHOT***
AJ Styles meteoric rise here in Great North Wrestling is complete! He will face GNW Inter-State Champion Barry Windham at the big GNW DOG DAYS OF SUMMER '23 PPV on August 20th at the US BANK STADIUM in Minneapolis, Minnesota! Styles defeated Canadian star Dino Bravo tonight in Pocatello to seal the deal! Bravo, who has also been very impressive since his debut, just couldn't counter AJ's high-flying offense, that tonight made him look very SLOW. Styles using his speed and conditioning wears Bravo down, then pins him after a CALF KILLER!
Time: (11:03).

** Best 2 out of 3 Falls MAIN-EVENT**
#2 contender Johnny Valentine, in his final tune-up match before facing #1 contender Austin Idol at DOG DAYS OF SUMMER '23 for another shot at the World Title faced Pepper Gomez tonight in the Holt Arena! Valentine , a former 2-time World champion was on a roll, despite the fact that Gomez was ready to bring the fight to Valentine from the opening bell. Pepper used holds and his speed to keep Johnny at bay, but Valentine wasn't to be denied! He wins the first fall at the (10:36) mark after a SUPLEX/ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER combo. After that combination rocked his world, it was only a matter of time before Gomez would be finished for the night. Though he fought valiantly kicking out of 2 pin attempts by Valentine, the damage done had taken it's toll and VALENTINE uses a SLEEPER on PEPPER to win the second fall in (9:50).
WINNER IN 2 STRAIGHT FALLS - Johnny Valentine! Total Time: (20:26).
