RESULTS!!! GNW ON TOUR #234 ********************************** 4/24/24 The Lansing Center, Lansing, Michigan Attendance: 3,246 ***************************************** Here are the results from Wednesday night in Lansing!!
Isaac the Impaler's record now stands at 0-3 since his GNW arrival. His 2 previous losses were by DQ, (foreign object, low-blow). Tonight however, he is pinned for the first time in GNW, by fan favorite Bob Armstrong! Bullet Bob was on his game right from the opening bell. Isaac had his moments as well, but was pinned by Armstrong after a GEORGIA JAWJACKER! Time: (8:37).
The ONE MAN GANG continues his rampage through the ratings here in Great North Wrestling, with an impressive win over Rocky Johnson. Johnson of course tested the big man, and nearly had him pinned after a quick start. GANG kicked out of Rocky's flying cross body then put his massive weight advantage to work. OMG methodically wore RJ down by making him bear his full weight for extended periods of time. Then his brute strength finishes the job. He 747 SPLASHES Rocky for the pin! Time: (12:33).
In our first tag-team match of the night, HIGH-FLYERS Greg Gagne and Jim Brunzell wowed the crowd with a rousing defeat of Road Dogg/Redd Dogg aka THE STRAYS! It was a very entertaining back and forth tag affair, that highlighted both teams. After some impressive double-team maneuvers tipped the match in the HIGH-FLYERS favor, Brunzell put Road Dogg's shoulders to the mat just long enough after 2 Flying Head-scissors!! Time: (13:44).
*********INTERMISSION*********
STAN HANSEN ran amok in Lansing, destroying his opponent Al Perez! The Latin Hearthrob did little to slow down THE BAD MAN FROM BORGER! Stan pummels Perez from post to post, even driving him into the arena floor during a brutal out of the ring melee. Of course it was Hansen's LARIAT that earns him the 1,2,3....Time: (5:53).
**GNW INTER-STATE CHAMPIONSHIP** I.S. Champion Kurt Angle successfully defends the gold against the challenge of Italian standout Ilio DiPaolo! After shaking hands to start things off, this was a near perfect wrestling match! Both men used their vast arsenals of offensive moves and holds in this scientific mat classic. The comes when DiPaolo exposed his leg just long enough for Kurt to lock in his ANKLE LOCK, and Ilio begrudgingly submits! Time: (11:42).
**NO DQ GNW TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP ** AFTER the last time these 2 teams collided, the powers that be here in Great North Wrestling decreed that this match should be NO DISQUALIFICATION, and it was magnificent! Ox Baker and Stan Stasiak were chomping at the bit to defend the straps for the second time against THE MONGOLS! IT was better than advertised, with violence and brutality a plenty! Baker had Geeto bleeding right from the start driving his head into the steel post! The Mongols dished out a fair share of pain and agony as well, by the mid-point of this match everyone involved was staining the canvas with blood. With Stasiak and Bepo wailing each other with chairs on the outside, Baker catches GEETO inside the ring with a HEART PUNCH that drops the big Mongol right where he stood! Baker covers his beaten foe for the 3-count! (Heart-Stoppers 4 tokens, Mongols 3). Time (14:21).
Brian Sager: FANS that last match was epic! Congratulations to the Heart-Stoppers on their successful title defense. Thank you great Lansing fans for coming out tonight! RESULTS!!! GNW ON TOUR #235 ********************************* 4/28/2024 The Kliever Armory, Portland, Oregon Attendance: 2,684 ******************************************** Great North Wrestling was back at it last Sunday night with an awesome card in Portland!!!
Sputnik Monroe defeated "That Hick from Mudlick" (Monroe's words not mine), Hillbilly Jim in a rowdy opening contest! Jim did his best to handle Sputnik, but Monroe had way too many shortcuts at his disposal. After a back and forth struggle SPUTNIK pins Jim with a NECKBREAKER applied after a low-blow (no DQ). Time: (7:23).
Big Moose Cholak made a rare singles match appearance defeating the Korean baddie Kim Duk in front of the Portland area faithful. After getting past Kim's martial arts "Kung Foolery", Moose's size and power wins the day! He nearly breaks the ring after using his EL SQUASHO (in the corner) to get the 1,2,3. Time: (10:33).
The masked menace known as The Grappler took the fight to "The Raging Bull" Manny Fernandez in a real donnybrook of a match. This one had a little bit of everything. Holds, impact, brawling, wrestling, cheating all wrapped up into one Hell of a match! After a bitter outside fracas, The Grappler gets back into the ring, and waits like a stalking tiger for Manny to get off the floor and back into the squared circle. The Grappler waits patiently as Fernandez makes his way back into the ring......THEN blasts him with what most fans think was a LOADED BOOT, and that was the end of THE BULL at least for this match! Time: (8:51).
**********INTERMISSION**********
Don Kent was supposed to team with Dr. Bill Miller against Eddie Guerrero and Jon Moxley, but fate intervened and his partner (travel delays Miller) was ISAAC THE IMPALER instead. They surprised everyone in attendance as they dominated this tag-team affair. Eddie and Jon started out fast, nearly pinning Isaac early on after a double Back Drop! Kent makes the save, then the Dasterdly Duo starts clicking! After several sneaky "no tag" tag-ins (not caught by the ref) Guerrero loses his cool , charging into the ring to rescue MOXLEY from his predicament! The referee tries to remove Eddie, but to no avail! He is forced to DISQUALIFY Guerrero and Moxley! Afterwards, all four men battle all the way to the back. WINNERS BY DISQUALIFICATION Bulldog Don Kent and Isaac the Impaler! Time: (9:38).
The zany antics of the loveable Bugsy McGraw were too much for "The Hammer" tonight in the Kliever Armory! In an action-packed, entertaining match Greg Valentine falls to McGraw!! It was a physical match with plenty of offense from both men.Valentine rushes into an empty corner (vacated by McGraw at the last second), Bugsy seizes the moment and puts Greg to the canvas for the 3-count after a powerslam/JUMPING SPLASH combo. Time: (11:27).
****NO DISQUALIFICATION MAIN EVENT**** This exciting night ends on a bloody and violent note as Hacksaw Jim Duggan squared off against Kevin Sullivan in an ugly vicious tour de force of a match. It was brutal from bell to bell, as both men let it all out in a frenzied and twisted slobber-knocker! By match's end their blood was all over the fabled Kliever Armory! After a Herculean struggle DUGGAN (4 fatigue) nails "The Taskmaster"(5 fatigue) with a FLYING SPEAR! The crowd erupts as Jim's bloody hand is raised by the ref in victory! Time: (18:51).
Brian Sager: Portland you always bring out the beast in us.....tonight was no different! Thank you great fans for coming out tonight, we so very grateful! NEXT on the Great North Wrestling agenda is a big FUNDRAISER event, GNW ON TOUR #236 APRIL 30TH....from the Dowagiac Union High School gymnasium in Dowagiac Michigan! RESULTS!! GNW ON TOUR #236 Dowagiac Union H.S. (FUNDRAISER) *************************************** 4/30/2024 Dowagiac Union H. S. Gym, Dowagiac, MI Attendance: 2,265 ******************************************** The Dowagiac Union High School Gymnasium was packed nearly full as GNW (with the aid of the D.U.H.S. Football Boosters) brought an evening full of pro wrestling action to town, all for a great cause! GNW and the Football Boosters and the Team thank you for helping them raise money for new training equipment!....
The Grappler is on a roll as of late, though his methods have been questionable, as he defeated Hillbilly Jim in the first match of the evening. Jim started out as his loveable self, but that changed quickly as The Grappler wasn't in a fuzzy-wuzzy mood! Jim was making a comeback, when The Grappler quickly changed tactics, and used his LOADED BOOT to put the big Hillbilly down for the count! Time: (5:45).
Bobby Duncum and Tito Santana were up next in a very hotly contested battle! Big Duncum brawled and bashed away at Santana, who countered with a high-impact/high speed attack. The crowd was into the action from bell to bell. After working Duncum's leg, Tito uses his FIGURE FOUR LEG LOCK to gain the victory by submission. Time: (8:05).
Our tag-team match was arguably the best match of the evening and featured The FLYING REDHEADS (Bastien/Lyons) vs THE LORDS (Hayes/Blears)! This match had everything from great double-team moves, to low-down shenanigans, and it was an entertaining experience for all the fans in attendance! Blears and Hayes did all they could (legal and otherwise), but in the end Bastien and Lyons had just too much offense. Red Bastien pins Blears after a series off rapid-fire dropkicks! (Both teams used all their pin-saves.) Time: (21:59) 4.5*
**********INTERMISSION**********
Two of Great North Wrestling's all-time greats tangled after the intermission in the forms of High Chief Peter Maivia and the dreaded Baron Von Raschke! The animosity between these two was palatable and it exploded quickly into a survival of the fittest confrontation! Both men hammered away at each other, and several out of the ring clashes occurred as well! After being slammed on the arena floor a woozy Von Raschke rolls back into the ring where MAIVIA quickly executes a SAMOAN SUPLEX for the pin! Time: (9:45).
"Dr. Death" Steve Williams wasn't in the mood to deal with Kevin Sullivan's brutal ways tonight in Dowagiac! He was all business as he plowed right through The Taskmaster. In short order the big Oklahoman beats Sullivan senseless, then puts him away by pinfall with a ring-shaking BACKDROP DRIVER! Time: (4:51) (SQUASH).
***Texas Death Match Main Event*** Blackjack Mulligan and King Kong Mosca nearly brought the house down tonight in a bloody, violent mat masterpiece! Mulligan was tested by Mosca who was at his brutal best! He opened up Mulligan early and kept the pressure on. BJ raged back (with the support of the Dowagiac crowd) and waged war against King Kong all over the arena! These two behemoths slammed and brawled away, as the crowd roared with sadistic glee. In the end Mulligan was able to dig down deep using his trusty BLACKJACK CLAW to drop Mosca .... who afterwards was unable to continue! Time: (17:19).
Brian Sager: Thank you Dowagiac, for letting us help you raise funds for a great cause!!! We hope you all enjoyed tonight's exciting card! On May 3rd Great North Wrestling will be in Minneapolis, Minnesota for ON TOUR #237, 7PM from The historic Minneapolis Armory! This is Brian Sager saying THINGS ARE HOT HERE IN THE GREAT NORTH, WE'LL SEE YOU AT THE MATCHES. ......Good Night FANS!!!

RESULTS!!! GNW ON TOUR #237 ********************************* 5/3/2024 The Armory, Minneapolis, Minnesota Attendance: 5,530 *************************************** Friday night was intense at the fabled ARMORY in Minneapolis when Great North Wrestling came to town with an awesome 7 match card!
The zany but loveable Bugsy McGraw was up to his MANIC ways, and this time it was The Great Malenko who was unable to withstand Bugsy's brand of CRAZY! After withstanding a plethora Malenko offensive assaults....McGraw flipped his crazy switch, and it was soon "Game Over" for THE GREAT ONE. After Bugsy drills Malenko with a Curly Shuffle and big punch, he then uses his devastating JUMPING SPLASH to garner the pinfall. Time: (13:31).
Score a victory for the UK as Lord Alfred Hayes defeated Eddie Guerrero in our second contest. Eddie was on fire, and had victory in his sights. BUT he took too much time to execute his FROG SPLASH, and Hayes makes him pay! With Hayes after rolling away (at the last instant) Guerrero splashes an empty canvas! Alfred then gets the win after doling out some punishment, gets the pin after his TOWER OF LONDON finisher. Time: (5:31).
In tag-team action THE VACHONS pummeled the Working Man's Team (Al/Don Greene) in a rousing match. Both teams battled hard, and used good teamwork and quick tags! The Mad Dog and Butcher finally isolated and incapacitated Al long enough to get the victory! Mad Dog pins Al after a QUADRUPLE FOOT STOMP double-team, with Butcher negating Don's pin-save attempt. Time: (9:13).
The final match before intermission was a violent and physical match-up between the ONE MAN GANG and NORD THE BARBARIAN! It was as brutal a match as Minneapolis fans have witnessed in quite some time! Both men unleashed everything they had and the blood was flowing freely! In the end Nord battled back from a severe beating to get the "W". It was his LEG DROP that finishes OMG's evening. (Nord 4 fatigue, OMG 2 fatigue). Time: (12:48).
**********INTERMISSION**********
THINGS take right back up after the break as former Inter-State Champion "Crippler" Ray Stevens clashed with Samoa Joe. Joe clearly uses his size and strength advantage, and starts tossing Stevens around the ring at will. Stevens countered by rolling out of the ring, time and time again, complaining to the ref, that Joe was cheating! Finally after the 4th or 5th time...Joe left the ring and met Ray out on the arena floor. After a huge confrontation, JOE fed up, grabs a chair as uses it! He then shoves the ref aside and continues to bash the downed Crippler until the referee has no choice but to DISQUALIFY him! Time: (9:35).
**GNW INTER-STATE TITLE SHOT MATCH** Hercules Ayala rises to the occasion tonight in Minneapolis! He earns his first shot at GNW gold by defeating Dr. Bill Miller in impressive fashion! After receiving a fair amount of resistance from Miller, Herc quickly kicked things into high gear! After a big back body drop, Ayala then puts Bill's shoulders to the mat after a big powerslam! Time: (6:44).
****SPECIAL MAIN EVENT**** Despite having to deal with Stan Stasiak's constant interfering, ANDRE the Giant, was victorious against THE FANTASTIC OX BAKER. Baker wasn't an easy mark by any stretch, as he was at his brutal best. These two men battled in and out of the ring, until both men were covered in blood! After Stasiak's refusal to stop meddling in the match....the referee dispatches him to the back. Then Andre begins to turn the tide of momentum and roars back! The Giant after dominating things for several minutes, squeezes OX into submission with a bearhug! Time: (16:50).
Brian Sager: Minneapolis how was that?!..It was our pleasure to bring you great fans this tremendous night of professional wrestling! GNW ON TOUR travels next to FARGO, North Dakota next for ON TOUR #238 from The FARGODOME 7PM on May 6th!
