I could honestly see a match between Vader and Piper playing out like that irl... Piper showed all kinds of guts, but Vader was just too much.
Still going with Macho Man to the end!

Savage and Windham exchange moves. Quick jabs blocked. Dropkick downs Savage. Suplex. Savage bails. Windham is out after him. Chair across the back! HEAT! Windham takes it back to the floor. Savage with jabs to control. Slam to the floor. Back in the ring. FLYING ELBOW SMASH. 1, 2, kick out (R7/P4). Piledriver. Knee drop. Hooks the leg. 1, 2, ¾ (R4/P3). Macho to the top . . . FLYING ELBOW SMASH. 1, 2, 3/SHOULDER UP. Bell sounds. Windham protests to Dick Woehrle but Savage advances.
Thanks again everyone for the comments and predictions. We are getting closer to the end with only four competitors left. This has to be the final four with the strongest card mechanics in the history of the tournament!

I got in too late to make my picks last round but for the final four I'm going with Bob Backlund vs. Randy Savage and Backlund taking it. Not picking either Thesz or Vader is risky, but I went with my gut feeling. Should be fun!
Awesome final eight action and I could totally see Piper putting up that kind of fight against Vader before going down.

Handshake to start the match. Knee lift countered into hammerlock. Backlund moves to Boston Crab. Thesz with a kick but double leg is countered. Backlund with abdominal stretch. All Backlund. Hammerlock and forearms. Pumping headlock. Whip and kick in the corner. Delayed vertical suplex. Boston Crab slows it down. Backlund continues to dominate! Wind-up forearm . . . countered into airplane spin by Thesz. Another airplane spin. THESZ PRESS. ONE COUNT ONLY (R11/P3). THESZ PRESS. 1, 2 Kick out (R8/P4). Cobra clutch suplex. OMG ONTO HIS HEAD! 1, 2, shoulder up (R6/P3). Thesz into stepover toehold facelock. Backlund has nowhere to go. Joey Marella calls for the bell. (R3/P4). Thesz reaches the finals for the first time with an impressive comeback.
