I've been playing legends since 2013. I've ended my feds and restarted 8 times. I'm just curious how many restarts others have had?

Since 1990 I have had three official incarnations or I guess two reboots.
I think the issue is you have to kind of sit down, look at the time you have and kind of plan what you want to do. Like this time around I really wanted to do territories but also just love having one fed. I knew I had a long road to catch up so I decided against territories in favor of my one fed all cards idea. I've made mistakes with the idea but had a lot of fun with it.
Theres a lot of creativity on this board and sometimes you hear an idea and wish you had done it. If you want to restart and borrow it do it. But if you dont want to restart any more you kind of need to sit down and flesh out of concept more to start. Legends is prolly a little tougher to do that cause I think some people dont want to mix color and BW or not know how to utilize both midnight express stan lane and fabulous stan lane. Sometimes to do that you have to do things that are against the grain or the story. Team up Bobo and Koko, have Johnny Saint feud against James Storm. You cant have Savage feud against that Terry steroid guy but you can create new feuds against Abdullah the butcher.
But I've restarted two times (three feds) and would like to think this one is the one I'm riding off into the sunset with ...

When the first full LOW set was released in color, I sort of did a restart in my LOW fed (which at that point I had not played in several years as I was mostly using my Indy color cards) but I made it a spinoff of my previous defunct fed that acknowledged my other fed's history including title reigns. In that way I kept my previous LOW records intact and active and thus it was not a full restart as I did not want to throw away all the time I had spent on my previous LOW fed.
In late 2019, using the reimagined COTG color card sets, I started replaying my COTG fed because I lost much of my previous COTG records in a move (which is why I now post my COTG fed results and title records here on the board as an electronic backup) and I call it my COTG color card history. So far I have played from 2087 through most of 2091 (waiting for 2092 to get released so I can resume at that point,) 2125 through most of 2137 (I will resume at that point when 2138 gets released next Summer.) and Centra from 2115 through most of 2117 (waiting for 2118 to get released to resume from that point.)

I suffer greatly from restarts. Without hyperbole, I started in 2018 and probably have over 20 restarts.
Looking back I see a few reasons why:
1: I bought all the cards and made my way to the bootleg groups quickly. Thus making me feel compelled to use all my cards all the time. No matter what, ice eventually looked over at the enormous pile of cards I WASN'T using and tried to use them too.
In that, I wish id purchased the sets a bit more moderately.
2: I have way too many ideas. All the time. That coupled with ADD has always caused problems in various hobbies (mostly in my music ventures).
3: As mentioned, I come here and see some really cool idea that I'd like to try out.
Some other things I'm not sure are a part of the problem, but suspect they may be:
Stats: I keep detailed records of everything that happens, in quite a sports based presentation/mindset.
"Systems": I'm obsessed with having a system in place, instead of booking freely. Not sure why.
Very interested in seeing others thoughts on thus.

I think we all have a bit of paralysis by analysis - myself especially. That's why I stick to a small roster and I let the dice decide what happens. I find if I try and control too much I get bogged down with thinking about it too much and I end up not doing anything.
I think the thing to remember is that it is just a game and that there is no fatal mistake you can make. Wanting some guidance and ideas on what you want to do is fine, but when it starts to keep you from playing b/c you're not sure if you want to go one direction or another, it can keep you away from the game far too long.
If things go sideways now, I just blame the "booker" aka the dice. I guess I finally realized that I want some realism, but we are playing a game and there is a suspended plane of reality that we should embrace. If I wanted a complete re-creation of what should/did happen, then why am I playing? So that has helped me some. I'm still very regimented at times and I have to remind myself of exactly what I'm typing out right now lol.
In terms of total re-starts? I think I've had more than I can count. I'm about ready to start posting my fed again b/c I feel like I'm not in any frame of mind to want to re-start, but even if you do - who cares?! I don't judge anyone by how much they re-start, we've all done it and will do it again at some point.

I rebooted when LOW went to color. I've done a couple soft reboots where I keep the champions and the title histories and ditch everything else. I've invested too much time to scrap the title histories at this point.

Started CotG in 1987 and played up until around 2005. I may restart at some point but want to start with a re-booted Classics sets (if that happens) I still buy all the sets though.
Started Legends in 2003 and played until the switch to color (not sure of the year). Tried to restart a few times but just couldn't get into it. Did a full restart 2 years ago and just started year 3 moving to a 12 territory fed.
Indies started with Chikara & ROH feds when those sets were released. Built to Chikara, NWA, ROH, AIW, Evolve, RWS (Revolution Wrestling Society) & UWF (only using people signed to WWE or AEW). Starting this year (I'm in 2020 game time) I dropped Chikara & Evolve but added IWTV. *Never rebooted any indie stuff*

I think I have started and restarted federations at least 60 times.
