Anybody interested in this? I’m mildly interested but mostly feel like sports writers shamed HOF voting long ago. Look at TO. Look at the most recent issue w Rodgers and the NFL MVP.
But I digress.
Bonds finally get in? Sosa? Any of those guys?

Ortiz maybe. Baseball's HOF has been questionable since the 40s so these issues are nothing new.

I'm very interested to see what goes on with this.
Ortiz looks like he is going in, personally don't think he is a first ballot guy.
Even with the Steroids, I do believe Clemens, Bonds & A-Rod should be in.

As somebody with two degrees in History, I do not agree with keeping players such as Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens out of the Hall of Fame. They should be included but they’re plaques should mention both their career accolades and their involvement in the steroid era.

Was talking to a friend about this the other day, I still think they did things worse than Pete Rose and Joe Jackson but they all deserve to be in the hall of fame. If you cant talk about an era without talking about that person they belong in the hall of fame. Put an asterisk or a note on their plaque but you cant deny them. I like baseball limits their entries as a hall of fame should be that, not a hall of very good.
I'll stop there before I lose people with the other piece lol.

David Ortiz was the only one elected today. I think Ortiz definitely deserves this but he does also have a connection to performance enhancing drugs which prevented others such as Bonds and Clemens from getting elected even if the circumstances are not the same for all of them.

I really lost most of what what interest I had in it when Pete Rose is not allowed in. I mean, I get the betting but there are some people in from back in the day that were really terrible people, and they are not being removed. Plus, it is not like he threw games. Betting and throwing a game is one thing. Betting and playing your ass off is another. It is like how I stopped caring about the Oscars due to talk that Crouching Tiger would not win MOTY due to winning foreign MOTY and how neither of the first two LOTR would win because Return of the King was expected to win. All of that makes the rewards meaningless. MOTY should be the best movie. Period.
