As with Monroe, I have no frame of reference for Billy Wicks as a pro wrestler. However, the man was a grand master at the art of wrestling. His instructional catch wrestling videos on youtube are invaluable and I am glad someone recorded and shared them. This one in particular is amazing. The "American Carny Style" catch as catch can is something that never gets properly explored. These guys knew the craft because at some points their lives literally depended on it.
I have NO idea how I'd use a game card of Billy Wicks, but he deserves the honor.

This makes me excited to hear the final names in the set. Right now we have the following:
Rocca
Thatcher
The Mormon Giant
Monroe
Wicks
Three more plus three names in prime to go. I'm pretty psyched for this. I get a feeling we may be getting Yukon Eric, Bobby Shayne, and Ilio DiPaolo. I assume it will be the Kangroos and Red Berry for prime.

Monroe and Wicks seem like they could fit in well with guys like Gotch and Pesek in my fed.
I was originally trying to figure out where to place each of the new guys, but now I’m planning to just start them as a feud of two new four man stables. Monroe and Wicks already feud, but Jonathan and Rocca could as well. I’m just debating on which to make the face and heel.

Not to take anything away from Sputnik, as by all accounts he was a fairly tough guy, but I also don't think he belongs in the same category of wrestler as guys who could legitimately shoot/hook. |

I kept thinking this was a 10 card set and was still expecting some combination of Freddie Blassie, Tolos Bros, Yukon Eric, French Angel, Ilio DiPaolo, Pepper Gomez, Fabulous Kangaroos & Red Berry between the main set and Prime but we don't have that many cards left.

I kept thinking this was a 10 card set and was still expecting some combination of Freddie Blassie, Tolos Bros, Yukon Eric, French Angel, Ilio DiPaolo, Pepper Gomez, Fabulous Kangaroos & Red Berry between the main set and Prime but we don't have that many cards left. Nope, 3 more for the main set, and 3 more for Legends Prime. I'm guessing DiPaolo, Pepper Gomez, and French Angel for the main set, and The Kangaroos and Red Berry for Prime. |

Well that's one theory.  Sputnik would likely fit fine even with virtually none because sometimes you need that guy who's a bit different. I would think Tillet, DiPaolo and Gomez are more likely than Blassie and The Tolos Brothers. I'm now 95% positive that the Kangaroos and Berry will be the PP guys. |
