Continuing to mull this over. Leaning towards going. We’ll see. Rob, weren’t you going to go to Philly last year if not for an unfortunate ankle injury? Isn’t Philly a longer drive than Chicago for you? I feel like you may be trolling folks here … 😀

Death, taxes, and Swarm losing in the first round convention tournaments are the only sure things in life.

mathematically, we all have losing records in these tournaments. Using MONOLITH to beat Jim Steel using Wolf with the Andromeda Drop to win the Cup was my Galacticon moment. Happy to put over younger talent now.

mathematically, we all have losing records in these tournaments. Do we? I mean I think at least in COTG (only participated in three tournaments) made the finals in both, and went 3-1 in my only Galacticon Cup (drew a mini bracket with Alpha Force, so that was my one loss). I think I may be over .500 in COTG. Let's not talk Legends ... I'm terrible - though haven't had the best draws in those tournaments (AJ Styles vs. Karl Gotch; and J.C. Ice vs. One of the Moondogs).

Well it's possible the fewer tournaments you play in, the better your record might well be. I'm sure there are a couple people who only attended once or twice who might have a winning record.
The ones who have played for years though definitely do as we've all had multiple one and done tournaments.

I think I may pass on this. I'd invite anyone not attending the card to come nab food at Bat 17 in Evanston. You will not be disappointed, and as a former Chicago-land resident, it is one of my must eats when I come back to the city from my current home in WI! If folks can let me know by the Thursday before Galacticon I make a reservation!
