Here's an idea I had. When I played the Original Set up to 2102, I would often kind of divide my roster. I'd keep guys like Chaos away from the Interplanetary championship with the rationale that if they ever won it, lowercard guys would never have a chance. In that way, I kind of had two rankings. One for the Galaxian, one for the Interplanetary. As it is right now with COTG Online, the singles rankings are just a big top ten. But what if we could determine who is ranked? A submenu within the ranking menu that allows us through drag and drop like the card editor to define who is ranked. Let's say I want three rankings for singles. I could have my promotion rankings, which would be exactly like it is now. Then I could define the "Galaxian" sub-list. Or who is in the "Galaxian" division. In this list I put Bloodline, Encubus, Endgame, Disaster, and so on. I then define the "Interplanetary" sub list, or who is eligible in the Interplanetary division. In this sublist I put Anivar, Swarm, Epoch, and so on. I could also define some people as being in both at the same time, guys on the cusp. Say...Valour for example. From there, with a little drop down on the rankings screen, I can look at rankings for my entire promotion, only the guys in the Galaxian sublist, or only the guys in the IP sublist. This would allow me to get original "overall" top ten, but also better allow me to establish the rankings within each division. Something that has been discussed is to add an option to select a roster to rank. This would allow promoters to setup different "divisions" and get the rankings for those divisions.

And rank only matches involving that tag. IE if you want an IP only division whenever you have an IP division match give it the IP tag. Then when you lookup rankings look for only matches involving the IP tag. That "should" work. Shouldnt it ?

I really like the idea of being able to select a specific roster to rank. As I've argued in the past, I hate waiting 6 months for the guys who have left to fall off the rankings. i.e. at the end of 2116, Vengeance is "retired" when he's arrested and taken back to Aethra, but you have to wait until midway through 2117 until he doesn't show up any longer. Ranking a roster makes so much more sense!

Onto a new request. I was thinking it would be nice if there was a "records" page. I don't mean win-loss records, but maybe something that shows how many times someone held each title, how many title defenses they had, how long they held them. I know you can look it up in the title history part, but it would simplify things if the tracker did the math for us without us having to go back and count the number of matches, etc. Something like: Universal: Thantos 5x Star Warrior 3x Reptillo 1x etc. Longest reign: Spike 2 years (25 cards) Thunder 1 year 2 months (20 cards) Pulsar 2 weeks (1 card) Crush Never (0 cards) I like this and it brings me to another change I'd like to see. I'm not a big fan of the way the Championship Lineage is configured. I don't like that the name of the card is listed on it's own line and then the wrestler is listed. On the same line that the wrestler is listed, the name of the title is listed which is a redundant bit of information; we already know the name of the title we're looking at. Then it skips a line and goes to the next card where the title changes hands with the wrestler listed underneath that and so on. So as it is now, the lineage page is listed like this: Card name - Date Wrestler won the title Card name - Date Wrestler won the title Card name - Date Wrestler won the title And so on. That's a bit clunky to me. I'd much prefer to see something like the list here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WWE_ChampionsThis is much more readable to me. I'd also like to see the names of each member of a tag team added to that championship lineage as well. I'll stick with wikipedia here; I'd love it if it looked like the list here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_World_Tag_Team_ChampionsAgain this is much easier to me to follow and it also has all of the information that steefposton was looking for as well.

I would like to be able to have 4 players on a team in the play by play sim for survival matches. Also I would like to add managers and to add championship advantage in the card editor when you sim match.

I just posted to a discussion about how people use PIN saves in their matches and it got me thinking about the match simulator and some options that could possibly be added so that the player could tailor the matches to the way they play the game.
The way I've always used pin saves and manager distractions is when the PIN hits 5 I will roll manager 1st then pin saves if there is no manager option. Once the PIN reaches 7 or higher I use wrestler/manager interference charts as they will always trump the save/distractions. If the interference charts have been used up then I go back to manager distractions or pin saves if the character still has them. At this point of the match pin saves now trump manager distractions in order of use.
Also I've always double rolled for DQ's since '88, i didn't realize it was an official ruling. I just noticed back then that more than half my card was always being DQ'd for just fighting outside of the ring so i wanted to make sure it was more tolerated in my fed. Now if a character has an 'illegal' move on their card those only get a one roll for the DQ check as they are outside the 'norm' of rough housing.
It is these two rulings alone that i can't use the match simulator on Cotgonline as I feel they really define my fed. If these options could be flagged I would be able to catch up in my fed very quickly.
Essentially you just need an A.I. interference tier able flag checker that the players can set up pre match. This way the player can flag when interferences happen and what they are attributed to. It should work out to four columns w/ drop down menus of all interferences and once an interference type has been selected it cannot be selected again in a lower column.
Example set up: Wrestler Interference------------7 Manager Interference------------7 Manager Distraction--------------5 Pin Save----------------------------5
In this example the logic would be when a PIN of 5 is rolled the state would check against the chart from top to bottom and see that Wrestler and Manager Interference requirements have not been met so going down the list a manager distraction would be attempted. The reason for putting them in this order is if the situation arrived that a finisher was hit early in the match and the PIN rating is a 7 for the 1st attempt a more extreme interference is attempted, but then on the second PIN attempt is at a 5 or 6 the state machine would go down the list to a less extreme measure.
It is a few more steps for the player when filling out the match simulator, but having this kind of logic control as a promoter would be much appreciated. Maybe even a keep settings options so that the logic wouldn't have to be set up every match could go a long way.
The other option that I'd really like to see in the simulator is a DQ toggle beyond just the current double rolls option. If there was the the standard double roll for charts and then another toggle for double rolls for any character based maneuvers would be much appreciated.
Of course these are just the way I play the game, but having this kind of control within the Sim may go a long way to usability within each promoters fed.

Rolling twice for DQs is not an official rule. Unless it was changed recently in the instruction book.

I would love it if when you set working dates, this limited the list of matches that show up in the first drop down menu of the Card Editor. I'm simultaneously working on three eras of the GWF - Early Classice, 2087 - on, and New Beginnings. Even if I set the Working Dates to just the era, or years I want, ALL the matches I've entered for all time for that fed are listed in that first menu and I have to hunt for the one I want to edit.
Thanks!

You know how we can add notes to matches? I'd love to have a notes box for entire cards. Recently I've been starting to keep track of the REAL date that I've been playing the card. Would just love to enter in general notes about the entire card in a box like you can currently for matches.
