Thanks TTX for the comments. It was fun booking the dark match and I thought it fit into the types of dark matches The Fed presented back in the late 70's and into the early 80's. The match was bit of a bust.

Looks like Abby & Gorilla are making steady progress... They're coming for those tag belts... And nobody's safe! Abdullah and Monsoon have been impressive but with the Rock 'n' Roll Express locked in a tug of war over the Canadian Open Tag Team Titles with the Midnight Express the window for title shot might be closing.

Another epic card, liking the use of Dalton, and the Dark match was cool. Glad you enjoyed the dark match. As I mentioned early, the match was a bit of bust and I regret not using the Cornette card to keep things going. I thinking a rematch might be in order.

Card 032 – London Gardens, London, ON
Henry Irslinger v. David Taylor Referee: Morgan Dollar; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside; Vintage Charts Sportsmanship with a handshake to start the action and several clean breaks. Irslinger takes over with a series of flying mares and Taylor has to regroup on the floor. It was exactly what the English competitor needed as Taylor took control of the action with his size advantage using a vertical suplex to get a near fall and then finishing Irslinger with a BRITISH SUPLEX for a rather quick three count from the official [snake eyes]. Winner: David Taylor: * ½
Disco Inferno v. Don Muraco w/Captain Lou Albano Referee: Joey Marella; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside There is a Beach Bum chant for Muraco and he is livid. Inferno capitalizes on his distracted opponent with a thumb to eye followed by an impressive diving forearm moments later. Inferno covers for a one count only and as Muraco regains his feet, Inferno catches him with LAST DANCE for the shocking victory. Winner: Disco Inferno DUD
Jerry Brisco & Billy Red Lyons v. Rose Crew (“Playboy” Buddy Rose & Randy Rose) Referee: James Beard; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside Both teams were able to make several defensive tags early on to keep the momentum going back and forth. Brisco and Lyons caught Buddy Rose with a series of rapid fire dropkicks for a big near fall. Rose was able to counter back and get out of trouble with tag to Randy Rose. The Rose Crew cut off Brisco and executed a DOUBLE GOOZLE for a near fall. Brisco was rocked and Buddy Rose followed with Hit The Jackpot for the victory. Winners: Rose Crew **
Bob Armstrong v. “Exotic” Adrian Street Referee: Dick Woehrle; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside Armstrong has the fans behind him and dominates early with a chops and stomps. Street looks to be in serious trouble but “The Bullet” makes the mistake of attempting to come off the top of the corner. Street catches Armstrong and slams him to the mat. Back to back to back CRUCIFIX follow and Street has the victory. Street is not finished and continues his assault after the bell. He grabs a chair but Billy Red Lyons and Jerry Brisco arrive followed by the Rose Crew. It is six man brawl. Lyons and Brisco clear the ring with dropkicks as the fans eat it up. Winner: Adrian Street. *
Valiant Brothers (“Handsome” Jimmy Valiant & “Luscious” Johnny Valiant) w/Captain Lou Albano v. Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Del Wilkes Referee: Morgan Dollar; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside The fans were psyched to see Duggan and Wilkes dish out some punishment and there was plenty to cheer about this one as the Valiant Brothers took a beating for most of the encounter. Albano was able to cause a distraction to save “Luscious” Johnny from being pinned after Duggan crushed him with a FLYING SPEAR. The Valiant Brothers were able to get only a brief offensive run after a double buckle whip to Wilkes but a defensive tag (Snake Eyes!) turned the match again. Duggan struck Johnny Valiant with a second FLYING SPEAR and this time Jimmy Valiant made the pin save to keep the action going. Johnny Valiant escaped to the floor but Duggan followed. Albano tried to hit Duggan with a chair but Duggan took the weapon from Albano, decked the manager with it and smashed Johnny Valiant as well much to the delight of the fans. Morgan Dollar was not as impressed and called for Duggan’s disqualification. Despite the protests of Wilkes & Duggan, the decision stood. Winners: Valiant Brothers by disqualification **
The Destroyer v. Jim Londos Referee: Dick Woehrle; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside The Destroyer looked every bit a former Canadian Heavyweight Champion and dominated this one early on including a Bombs Away and later a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK which Londos could only escape by grabbing the ropes. Destroyer worked the lower body and the upper body as the fans pleading with Londos to get something going. Londos was able to catch Destroyer on the top of the corner and slammed him to the mat. Londos when to work with several revers toe holds that had his masked opponent screaming. Destroyer uses the ropes to escape a grinding arm bar and again reached the ropes to break up a BOSTON CRAB. Destroyer retreated to the floor and a fired up Londos followed but Destroyer managed to grab one of Dr. Mike Lano’s camera and smashed Londos with it! Londos went down in a heap on the floor and the referee quickly called for the disqualification. Londos was busted wide open from the assault and needed assistance leaving ringside. Winner: Jim Londos by disqualification *** ½
Canadian Heavyweight Title Match – Barry Windham [ch] v. Bob Backlund Referee: James Beard; Dr. Mike Lano at ringside Handshake gets the action underway and the early exchanges has the fans on the edge of their seat. Windham presses the attack with his size advantage using a sleeper to do damage before landing a LARIAT. Backlund kicks out and Windham stays on him. Backlund struggles to slow the attack of the champion and Windham lands a SWEETWATER SUPLEX for a big near fall. Backlund finally gets a hold of Windham and works the upper body. The tactic works and Backlund is able to execute an ATOMIC DROP but Windham kicks out of the cover at two. It is back and forth now. Backlund is flung into the ropes and manages to catch Windham in a quick inside cradle counter for two. Windham is scrambling but Backlund manages to get behind the champion and lock in a CROSS FACE CHICKEN WING to reclaim the title. Winner and New Canadian Heavyweight Champion: Bob Backlund. ****
News and Views: • Bob Backlund made an impressive comeback to claim his second Canadian Heavyweight Title from Barry Windham in the main event. Backlund will now have to prepare to defendant that title against former two time champion The Destroyer in the main event of the upcoming Maple Leaf Gardens show in Toronto (Card 35) • Before Bob Backlund gets to Toronto, he has some unfinished business with the “Terrible Turk” and will taken on Yusuf Ismail in a special non-title encounter as part of the upcoming event at the Memorial Auditorium in Kitchener (Card 33) • The event in Kitchener has become a cannot miss night as not only with Backlund be in action, but the main event will see the next chapter in the Midnight Express – Rock ‘n’ Roll Express feud with the Jim Cornette’s team putting the Canadian Open Tag Team Titles on the line against their classic rival. • Don Muraco has irate after his shocking loss tonight and has demanded a return match with Disco Inferno. Commission Teddy Long has been in contact with Inferno and booked the rematch as part of the next night of Maple Leaf Wrestling action in Kitchener (Card 33). • There is clear friction between Bob Armstrong and “Exotic” Adrian Street as evidences by their past two encounters and the aftermath to their match tonight. With the Rose Crew & the team of Jerry Brisco & Billy Red Lyons getting involved, Commissioner Teddy Long has signed the two sides to a six man tag team battle as part of the next Maple Leaf Gardens event. • The Valiant Brothers may have escaped London with a controversial disqualification victory but they will not be able to escape another match against the team of Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Del Wlikes as Commissioner Long has signed a return match between the two teams for the upcoming event at the Preston Arena in Cambridge Ontario (Card 34). • The Destroyer continues to appear to become more and more unhinged first attacking Barry Windham at the Ringside Tapings and now leaving Jim Londos in a bloody heap at ringside tonight. Londos as stitched up after the match and made it clear to the Commissioner that he wanted another match with Destroyer. That rematch has been signed for the Cambridge event as well. • Barry Windham will waste no time getting back into the ring after dropping the Canadian Heavyweight Title tonight as he signed to compete in Kitchener as well but will shift his focus to tag team action as he joins “Cowboy” Scott Casey to battle the team of Abdullah The Butcher & Gorilla Monsoon

Windham appears to have become a sucker for punishment... Right on the heels of dropping the title to Backlund, he agrees to team up with Scott Casey against Abby & Gorilla... Yikes!
Really like how you're booking The Destroyer... We'll see if this unhinged attitude can put him back on top... Good times!
