I correctly picked both Duke and Villanova to make the Elite Eight so I got 8 more points tonight to move up to 4th place.

Going into the Sweet Sixteen, I still have both of my two Finalist picks remaining, 3 of my Final Four picks remaining, and 6 of my Elite Eight picks remaining. However, I am not among the leaders in my group and I do not understand why I am so far behind as my 23/32 First Round picks were the 2nd most in the group. I had 23 correct in the First Round (for 1 point each) and 8 correct in the Second Round (for 16 points at 2 points each) yet at 23 and 16 I am trailing people with point scores such as 21 and 16? I must be missing something. I can think of two things why this would be. One is they are listing people in order based on projected possible points and those ahead of you have all Elite Eight teams still alive. Two is they gave picks for First Four and you missed making picks for them. Otherwise, there is no reason for anyone in the scenario you gave to be ahead of you. |

I got some more points tonight.
I am still in 4th place but 2 of the 3 ahead of me picked Gonzaga to win the tournament.

Was that the case here or were these all straight up? |

Tonight I got some more points and moved from 4th place into 3rd place.
Depending on how tomorrow goes, I might be able to get into 2nd place as the guy above me chose Gonzaga to win the tournament so his additional points are very limited, but I don't think I can get enough points to knock off the guy currently in 1st place.
