I am about to leave to go to my gym where I registered to do my first-ever DriTri which involves a 2,000 meter row, 300 bodyweight exercises (such as pushups and burpees,) and then running 5K (I think a little over 3 miles) on the treadmill.
I am excited and also a little nervous as I have never done any type of triathlon before. Hopefully my final time is not too bad.

I did it. I did OK, 45 minutes flat which was the fastest time for the guys (2nd fastest time for the guys was 48:12.) But I still don't have the speed I used to have before the pandemic.

For the record 5K is 3.1 miles. I used to run them when I was a kid. Not very good but I finished lol.
The fact you finished 1st and still have room to improve is a good thing. Keep up the great work.

Running is bad. Don't do that! I just take like 30 seconds between sets on weights. That makes it cardio. Seriously though, nice. Great work and congratulations.

just take like 30 seconds between sets on weights. That makes it cardio. . My adrenaline runs so high during my workouts I can barely sit still. Even when going heavy it’s hard for me to rest for long between sets. On average my workouts are 55 minutes. I might play around with stuff for 20 minutes or so after but I get my prime work done in under an hour. If I’m doing shoulders, light chest (flys), arms I’m bouncing from one thing to the next. Big on muscle shock. I’ll do heavy incline press then immediately move to light flys w 50s down to 25s to failure each set. Tons of reps. Then preacher curls. Then one arm straight bar curls. Then tricep pushdowns. Then do it all over again two more times. Stuff like that. Go go go.

Keep those rest periods short and I don't even sit still during them just so I never hit resting heart rate. Too many guys today come in, spend an hour and a half in the gym, but only 20 minutes working and the rest playing on their phones while sitting on the equiptment. What Zeke did is another kind of thing. Again, much credit Vegas.
