Yeah, you have to look at the set this in - The Tragos/Thesz HOF, which is most well known for honoring the "amateur/pure wrestling skill" of the wrestler.
Think of when we got a "Memphis set" and Birdman Koko and Skinner Steve Keirn were released with it. They may be more well know as that, but ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Or in Chad/Cory's terms: If another AWA theme was released, you wouldn't be seeing the Model version of Rick Martel.

Does anyone know if there will be any "vintage" wrestlers in this set? The previous sets each had two vintage wrestlers. I'd like to see Farmer Burns & Tom Jenkins get cards. What vintage wrestlers would you like to see get cards?

My vote is also for Varsity Club Rotunda--it's my personal favorite version of him and it still fits the dynamic of the set. That said: Chad definitely posted here some months back that he was watching Windham/Rotunda matches for unspecified reasons. Now, maybe they're doing an all-encompassing card, maybe he was just watching for depth, and maybe we're not getting a Rotunda card and Chad just loves his '80s WWF tag wrestling that much. So it could go either way. If we get a gimmicked-up card for him in a future set or Prime...did WCW ever trademark the name Michael Wallstreet? I'd rather have that than IRS, as short-lived as it was. He'd fit in even better with the MIllion Dollar Man as a team. Stats- and style-wise they're almost exactly the same--you could even swap in the computer for the briefcase if you want a foreign object mechanic. Edit: Huh. According to the USPTO, the name was trademarked by Rotunda himself and abandoned a few months later.

What vintage wrestlers would you like to see get cards? Either one of those guys would be fine with me. I've actually teamed them up (they both have bootlegs) as Mustachioed Muscle in my universe. They're one of the first tag teams in wrestling. I'd also like to see either or both of the Zbyszko brothers, Fred Beell, Joe Stecher, Earl Caddock, Theo Bauer, Joe Malcewicz, and Ad Santel get official cards at some point.

My preference is NWA TV champ Mike Rotunda. Varsity Club. If they stat him as WWF tag champ is Windham getting a new card with weaker stats? I'd say no. Down the road if we have to have both versions put the U.S. Express in Prime. Im confused why would you think they'd stat him as a tag partner with Windham. He was basically a singles guy until his WWF run with Windham who'd only team up with guys like Windham, etc in Floriday/Mid Atlantic occassionally to fight a couple of bag guys (like Lawler/Dundee in Memphis). It wasnt until they went to the WWF they became official an official tag team They were the U.S. Express and tag champs, and that's what most people say when they want that version of Rotunda. So what do you do with Windham in that case? As far as IRS, no I don't see that being the name on the card but if they want to do stats for that era the name can still be Mike Rotunda.
