Has anyone asked Mr. Filsinger and Filsinger games to make a GWF video game? A way to simulate the dice rolls and fill in the dead spots with good character animation. I was just wondering.

FG might be interested in licensing the material to a video game producer, but we haven't got the budget, time, or staff to self produce an actual video game. Little by little COTGonline is growing...who knows what it will evolve into in the next few years? ~ :-Xsk

I might not have asked this question 5 years ago but with video game systems merging with the PC through the internet, things can be added and tweaked. I believe this game would blow other wrestling games out of the water in terms of originality and the role playing aspect of it.

That would be cool to have a GWF video game so you can get it for PS3 oh the graphics!

Well, I have been hearing rumblings about the next gen systems coming in a few years. Imagine what those systems can do. Matter of fact, I am going to try to contact some of the software companies and see what's up, a wrestling RPG? With this type of rich history already established? Gotta at least try...

I remember discussing this 21 years ago via snail mail with all the Super Report guys. At that time the original NES was the system of choice... or only choice.

With the emergence of the XNA framework, it would be possible, provided the right people were gathered, to build a game for both XBox 360 and the PC. At a minimum FG would need an animator, a modeler, and a couple programmers efficient in .NET and understanding of game design and theory. I imagine the next gen of XBox will have an updated XNA framework, so it still remains possible there.
What would be really cool is implementation on the wii using the motion controls where it makes sense (TNA Impact was horrible use of the motion controls).

With the caveat that I'm not anywhere near to doing this, I have been very interested in learning more about PC-based animation programs for use in COTG Online. Osk and I have discussed it in the past, and while I'd like to learn how to do this for more reasons than just COTG, it would be a great platform for me to try things out. I've got a basic understanding of the fundamentals but just need the time to sit down with a high-quality (read: expensive) program and put myself through the paces.
I would love to see this for any gaming system, but the Wii would indeed be fun.
