DPW #5: ON THE LOOSE on Pay-Per-View and FiteTV
Welcome to Dynamo Pro and tonight all of the wild animals of Dynamo Pro’s Zoo are ON THE LOOSE, live on pay-per-view! “Hail to the King” by Avenged Sevenfold serves as the official theme song to ON THE LOOSE alluding to the fact that tonight we will witness the King of the Zoo Tournament and the winner will be awarded the Dynamo Pro Championship! This is destined to be a historic night of pro-wrestling, let’s get down to the ring!
Pre-Match: We are kicking things off hot tonight. “Swiss Made” by CFO$ plays and we are greeted by The Swiss Superman Claudio Castagnoli and his manager, the leader of the Cult of Cornette, Jim Cornette. As part of Claudio’s entrance gear he is wearing a red Superman-style cape with the “Cornette Face” emblazoned on the back of it. Corny has the Cult of Cornette logo on his tennis racquet cover, especially made for his pay-per-view appearance tonight. “Ghost Town Truimph” by Vincent Padulla plays, the theme song of Hangman Adam Page, and he emerges from the entranceway flanked by his henchmen, Psycho & Killer, The Texas Hangmen. The Hangmen Trio have been menacing Dynamo Pro for a month now and Page even bullied his way into the tournament by kidnapping and torturing Bobby Fish (word is he was forced to watch NXT 2.0, tactics like this may be outlawed in the Geneva Convention). The referee tells the Hangmen and Cornette to stay in their respective corners and not to get involved. The referee notes that these tournament matches must end in pinfall or submission, there will be no DQ or countout. Let’s get this tournament underway!
Claudio starts things off hot against Adam Page, the action goes back and forth. Page with a fireman’s carry backbreaker on Claudio. He goes for another and Claudio counters. Powerful lifting gutwrench and then an arm puller. Claudio blasts Page with some hard headbutts. Claudio hooks in a chinlock and holds it in tight for a while. Multiple headbutts from Claudio before he lets up. Claudio goes for a punch, Page dodges and hits a Buckshot Lariat. Page hoists Claudio up and drops him in the DEADEYE and goes for the pin. Could it be over this quick for The Swiss Superman? Claudio springs out of the pin on the 2 count. Page continues his assault on Claudio. Claudio dodges a knife edge chop and proceeds to rub Page’s face into the mat. Page comes back, bites Claudio’s forehead, Claudio hits his Very European Uppercut and hits a running boot. Page counters an arm puller and hits a missile dropkick and a big jumping DDT. Claudio slides to the outside to confer with Cornette, Page hits another DEADEYE inside the ring but Claudio kicks out. Page sends Claudio through the ropes, Page follows and starts to choke Claudio with his bullrope, the ref takes it from him, but while he is securing it, Page hits a DEADEYE on Claudio on the outside of the ring, right onto the concrete. Psycho had pulled the mat up off the bare arena floor. Page hits a rolling backbreaker, Cornette jabs Page with his tennis racquet while the ref is distracted. Claudio comes from behind now with multiple headbutts and another european uppercut. The momentum shifts back and forth now. The action spills to the outside, Claudio grabs Adam Page by the legs and begins doing his GIANT SWING on the outside, the crowd is chanting along, “1-2-3-4-” and on the count of 5 Claudio shifts his position to slam Page’s head right into the turnbuckle post. Claudio sends him back inside. Powerful lifting gutwrench suplex puts Page down. The Texas Hangman are worried for their leader, they hop up onto the apron holding their nooses and the referee tells them “Yoooouuu’rrrreee ouuuuttttaaa heeeeerrrrreee!” and they are quite upset about this decision. Claudio hits a beautiful lifting gutwrench. Page suddenly comes back and hits a jumping DDT out of nowhere. Corny starts sweating. Page goes for the pin and Claudio kicks out at 2 but Cornette starts wildly ringing the ringbell. Ding ding ding ding ding. Adam Page thinks that he won, he’s arguing with the ref who is arguing with Cornette. Claudio takes advantage of the opportunity and hits Hangman Adam Page with his dreaded NEUTRALIZER and goes for the pin and the ref goes for the count.
Post-Match: Claudio Castagnoli advances to the semi-finals of the King of the Zoo Tournament, he celebrates with Cornette in the ring as Adam Page rolls away. The Texas Hangmen Psycho & Killer come back down the ramp to confront Claudio and Cornette but that’s when Hotchkiss Featherbottom & Khosrow Vaziri (Bob Backlund and The Iron Sheik) show up out of nowhere to defend the rest of the Cult of Cornette. The Texas Hangmen back off and Corny and his men stand victorious. Hangman Adam Page will ride into the sunset this evening without the Dynamo Pro Championship, but surely the Hangmen’s reign of terror will not stop tonight after one setback.
Backstage Interview: Eddie Kingston is backstage in the locker room. He’s very, very sweaty. “Look, I’ve been cleared with the Dynamo Pro medical staff. Yes, I tested positive for Space Monkeypox. No, I’ve never f*cking heard of it either–OOOOOOH!” Kingston screeches loudly, accidentally cutting himself off mid-sentence making a strange animal noise. “They say I’m symptomatic, but I’m not contagious, so nobody needs to– OOOOH! AHHHH!” And he cuts himself off again. Kingston looks quite worried. These monkey sounds aren’t normal. He nervously starts munching on a banana and tells the camera to go away, he’s got to get ready for his match.
Pre-Match: “His mother calls him sun cause he shines like one,” “Monsoon Conquest” plays, the theme song of Rohit Raju, as he makes his way out to the entranceway. Rohit earned this spot mere days ago with a surprise victory over Limitless Keith Lee. Keith Lee is surely watching ON THE LOOSE intently because he definitely will be crossing paths with Rohit again soon. Rohit, however, has the added challenge of facing one of the 2 mystery entrants in the tournament, who could it be? A hush of anticipation washes over the crowd. “The Danhausen Show” by Mikey Ruckus fills the arena and our question has been answered. Danhausen is here! He comes out to the stage and raises his arms, getting a huge pop from the crowd. He is trailed by his somewhat-annoyed looking manager, “Living Legend” Larry Zbyszko, who has been mentoring Danhausen in World Powerhouse Wrestling. Danhausen unfortunately lost his WPW Boys Title to Matt Riddle last night at THE BEEFENING, but Danhausen has his sights set on more gold. And a blimp. Rohit has a history with Danhausen and they are not on friendly terms and Rohit is far from pleased.
Rohit starts off strong against Danhausen. Rohit tosses Danhausen to the outside multiple times, each time Danhausen goes over and pantomimes that he is whispering to his manager “Larry Legend,” but can audibly be heard saying, “Whisper, whisper, whisper…” Rohit hits a MUMBAI DRIVE-BY, the same move that put away Keith Lee, but it’s too early for Danhausen not to kick out. Rohit hooks in a crossface and goes on an assault. Dragon Whips HIs Tail and knocks Danhausen silly. Danhausen ducks a second one and licks Rohit in the face and bites him! Danhausen with a chokeslam and Rohit leaves the ring. Danhausen sends him back inside but has returned to the ring with his Jar of Teeth. Zbyszko offers a timely distraction while Danhausen crams a handful down the gullet of Rohit Raju. Danhausen goes for a pin but Rohit kicks out. Some impressive suplexes from Danhausen. A big tornado DDT hurts Rohit and Danhausen hits the DEVOTION DDTHAUSEN but Rohit gets a foot on the rope. Rohit comes back with a jumping flatliner and hooks in the crossface again for a while. Rohit hits a Tiger Knee and goes for the pin. Zbyszko puts Danhausen’s foot on the bottom rope and the ref breaks his count. Rohit with another Tiger Knee and Dragon Whips His Tail and a big Dragon Stomp. He hits a neckbreaker and gourdbuster and goes for the pin. Zbyszko isn’t close enough to save his man yet again. 1-2-3.
Post-Match: What a win for Rohit Raju, securing his spot in the semi-finals of the tournament. Rohit soaks in the boos from the crowd as he steps over his fallen opponent. Danhausen is moaning and groaning, telling “Larry Legend” that he’s really getting tired of losing and he’d really like to win some more. “How does Danhausen do that?” he asks his manager. Zbyszko sighs as he carries Danhausen’s cape and entrance gear back to the locker room for him.
Backstage Promo: MJF and Effy, collectively known as MJEffy, are backstage at the Dynamo Pro Interview Set. They were victorious at WPW’s THE BEEFENING last night against Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis, Aussie Open, and they are speculating about what could go down on the debut episode of “DP: Double Team!” the new program on truTV featuring tag team action in Dynamo Pro Wrestling. Effy says that he is an expert on the subject matter, DP and double-teaming, that is. MJF promises that they have a rematch with Matt Fitchett and Davey Vega, Grindhouse, scheduled for the debut episode of “DP: Double Team!” and this time, they’re not going down without a fair fight.
Pre-Match: “Cold Blooded,” Eddie Kingston’s entrance theme plays and he steps out onto the stage. There’s a wild look in his eyes and he has a bunch of bananas in his hand as he munches on one on the way down the ramp. He seems a little twitchy, certainly still under the weather of sorts. Absolute Ricky Starks makes his entrance next. He’s been on a winning streak so far in Dynamo Pro, hopefully that can carry through to this evening for the young superstar. Ricky poses on the stage, he poses on the ramp, he probably has a PHD in posing. He catches sight of Eddie Kingston across the ring and is a bit alarmed by his opponent's strange behavior.
Kingston opens with a belly-to-belly suplex and hard yakuza kick on Starks and proceeds to choke him with his boot. Kingston bites him in the forehead but Starks dances it off and slaps Kingston in the face. He should not have done that. Momentum shifts and Starks tosses Kingston to the ropes, Starks drops down and Starks drops him with a devastating SPEAR and Starks tosses Kingston out of the ring. Kingston grabs another banana and starts eating it before crawling helplessly back inside. Starks hits a Famous Amos and implant DDT but then a double clothesline puts both men down. Starks gets up first to witness Kingston twitching oddly on the mat. Starks puts Kingston in a sleeperhold but Kingston wiggles free and escapes the ring. Starks follows after him and Kingston grabs a banana and smashes it into the face of The Stroke Daddy and tosses him back inside. Kingston hits his LARIAT and goes for the pin, Ricky Starks still has banana mushed in his eyes and the wild Kingston gets the 1-2-3.
Post-Match: Eddie Kingston is going crazy on Absolute Ricky Starks. He’s jumping up and down wildly and beating him with a bunch of bananas. Ding ding ding. Dynamo Pro officials come down to stop the attack and Kingston retreats up the rampway. Starks couldn’t do it tonight, but he’ll soon be holding gold here in Dynamo Pro, Absolutely.
Advertisement: Next month, World Powerhouse Wrestling invades Louisville, KY. Specifically, it invades Jim Cornette’s house! WPW will be coming to you live on pay-per-view and FiteTV for the supercard spectacular CLASH AT CASTLE CORNETTE! Two huge matches are already signed for the big event: WPW World Champion Macho Man Randy Savage vs. “The Iron Sheik” Khosrow Vaziri and brand-new WPW Boys Champion Matt Riddle will defend against Dynamo Pro’s Rohit Raju! Don’t let a giant, mutant raccoon bully you into NOT ordering this pay-per-view!
Pre-Match: “HAHAHAHAHA!” The Million Bitcoin Man Ted Dibiase makes his way out to the ring. Dibiase bought his way into this tournament but with the unlucky position to be facing the second mystery entrant. The first proved to be Danhausen, surely nothing could be as crazy as that. “HAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!” a louder, longer, more obnoxious laugh than his own blares through the arena’s speakers. Before the music even hits, everybody knows exactly who is going to trouble Dibiase this evening. BURN IT DOWN! “Visionary” by Def Rebel plays to bring none other than Seth “Freakin” Rollins out to the stage. The crowd is going absolutely nuts. Seth is laughing maniacally as he scans over the crowd. Ted Dibiase is witnessing this reaction from the ring and he swallows hard. The crowd is singing along to the music as Seth gets up on the corner turnbuckle. What an ovation!
Dibiase and Rollins go back and forth in the opening moments of this match. Dibiase tosses Rollins into the ropes, criss-cross, big piledriver by Rollins. Rollins with a driving knee strike and Dibiase rolls to the outside. Rollins drags him back inside and hits a reverse STO to the turnbuckle. Ouch. Rollins with a spin kick and enziguri rocks the Million Bitcoin Man. A brutal assault by the “Freakin” superstar on the veteran. Rollins hits a flying forearm into the corner and rolls Dibiase up but he kicks out. Dibiase down on all fours and Rollins sees his opportunity. He hits the CURB STOMP on Dibiase and goes for the pin but Dibiase gets a foot under the rope. Boo! Rollins hoists him up into a buckle bomb and another CURB STOMP and that’s goodnight for that wealthy wanker.
Post-Match: “HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!” Seth “Freakin” Rollins impresses us in this surprise debut match here at ON THE LOOSE. He moves on in the tournament and leaves Dibiase in his dust. The Million Bitcoin Man Ted Dibiase will retreat to his limo that is waiting in the parking garage and shower at the 5-Star Luxury Hotel & Suites, he doesn’t change with the other wrestlers when he can avoid it. Hopefully Bitcoin doesn’t drop again on the way back to the hotel so he can afford some room service.
Video Promo: Mike Bennett is behind the wheel of his car driving down the road. “Life is full of difficult decisions. Kicking those decisions down the road or avoiding decisions is, in itself, a decision. A decision that will have consequences. Don’t be afraid of the–” and Bennett is cut off, literally another car sideswipes him and sends him careening through a mailbox and into a ditch. The airbag has deployed, the air is smoky, and the car horn is stuck. Bennett is suffering a broken nose at the very least. A figure approaches the car door and drags Bennett out of the car and continues to beat him up. The camera has been shifted during the accident so we can no longer see what is happening, but it doesn’t sound good at all. Hopefully we hear from Mike Bennett faster than it takes him to hear from the car insurance company!
Pre-Match: Tokyo Monster Kahagas enters alongside his manager Mr. Fuji. They are accompanied by half a dozen Japanese police officers with handcuffs. If Kahagas is victorious this evening, these officers will be extraditing Michael Elgin back to Japan where he may or may not be facing charges of theft of protein powder. Maybe? Who knows? “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin makes his entrance. We’ve heard his name a lot over the past month and we finally get our first look at this athlete here tonight. He looks like he’s put on some muscle, which may or may not have to do with his consumption of illegally obtained protein powder from a gym in Japan. We just don’t know.
Kahagas starts off strong against Elgin until Elgin dodges a big chop. Kahagas hits an elbow strike and sends Elgin into the ropes but Elgin bounces off the ropes with a brutal lariat stopping the Japanese monster’s momentum. Kahagas leaves the ring and can be heard speaking Japanese to his manager Mr. Fuji. Elgin with several more devastating maneuvers. He hits a suplex into side slam and goes for the pin but Kahagas kicks out at 1. Elgin goes up to the top rope and Elgin comes off the top with a perfect crossbody block but Kahagas kicks out of the ensuing pin. Elgin is fired up. He picks Kahagas off the mat and hits his SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB but Mr. Fuji puts Kahagas’s foot on the rope to break the pin. Elgin goes up to the top rope again and hits another flying crossbody and pin but Fuji whacks the ref with his cane. Elgin goes for a shoulder thrust into the corner but Kahagas dodges and puts him in a tarantula. The momentum shifts back and forth. Elgin hits Kahagas with another supercharged lariat. Elgin tosses Kahagas to the outside but Kahagas pulls him outside the ring and Fuji hits him with his cane. Kahagas throws him inside and goes for a pin but Elgin kicks out. Kahahas hits his SNAP CLOTHESLINE and Tokyo Monster Driver but Elgin stays alive. Elgin goes for a test of strength but Kahagas kicks him in the groin. Tokyo Street Cutter hurts Elgin. Is Kahagas going to break the Unbreakable? Elgin surprises Kahagas back with a deadlift powerbomb. What a comeback! Elgin hits a rolling deadlift german suplex on the monster and a flying shoulder block. Elgin once again with the SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB. Fuji pulls out a bottle of Japanese protein powder and tries to throw it in the face of Michael Elgin but it backfires and Mr. Fuji gets a face full of protein powder! 1-2-3.
Post-Match: Mr. Fuji is covered in Japanese protein powder and is telling the officers to go get Michael Elgin. The Japanese police officers storm the ring but Michael Elgin delivers charging lariat after charging lariat. Kahagas rolls out of the ring and is escaping with Mr. Fuji when Elgin grabs the final officer standing and lifts him above his head and he launches the officer over the top rope to the outside landing right on Tokyo Monster Kahagas and his cohort.
Pre-Match: “Swiss Made” by CFO$ brings The Swiss Superman back to the stage. He’s donning his SuperClaudio cape again and pretending to fly as he heads down the ramp alongside Jim Cornette. “Monsoon Conquest” brings Rohit Raju out for his second match of the evening. “His mother calls him sun cause he shines like one,” Rohit is ready. Claudio is certainly a wholly different type of competitor than Danhausen, how versatile can Rohit Raju be?
Rohit opens up strong against Claudio. He Dragon Whips HIs Tail and hits him with the neckbreaker and gourdbuster which he used to win earlier tonight. It spills outside and Rohit wins a ringside brawl. Back inside and a big Dragon Stomp on Claudio who rolls to the outside. Rohit comes out and smashes him into the guardrails. Rohit hits the Tiger Knee and Rohit goes up to the top rope, he blasts Claudio with a big elbow drop off the top. He hits another Dragon Stomp and Claudio dodges a pointed elbow drop. Claudio goes for a test of strength but Rohit kicks him in the yam bag. Claudio rubs Rohit’s face in the mat and the action goes back and forth for a while. Rohit hits a swinging reverse STO and hooks in a kimura, several excellent counters until Claudio puts Rohit in an arm puller. Rohit works in the kimura again but Claudio scrambles to the outside. Claudio drags Rohit under the ropes and pitches him to Corny who tees off like a Major League hitter, blasting Rohit with the side of his tennis racquet. Claudio sends him back inside and goes for a lifting gutwrench and follows up with a pin but Rohit kicks out. Claudio pummels Rohit in the corner, he’s rattled. Claudio rolls up Rohit but he kicks out. Suddenly Rohit hits his MUMBAI DRIVE-BY and goes for the pin but The Swiss Superman gets a shoulder up. Rohit hits a Tiger Knee and goes for a pin but Claudio kicks out. Rohit crawls to the outside to confer with Cornette, Rohit comes after him. Rohit Raju yanks Corny’s racquet from his hands and spanks Claudio with it before tossing it back to its owner. Rohit sends Claudio inside and goes for the pin but Cornette pulls Rohit by the leg to break the pin. Rohit is facing Corny and Claudio comes up from behind and smashes Rohit right between the legs with the tennis racquet. Claudio hits the NEUTRALIZER and Rohit still kicks out. Claudio hits a bridging fall away slam. Rohit in a final desperate rally charges at Claudio but Claudio dodges, Rohit slams face first into the turnbuckle and he’s dazed. Claudio rolls him into a schoolboy and gets the 1-2-3.
Post-Match: Rohit Raju is insisting that Claudio Castagnoli was grabbing his tights. He probably was, but Claudio knows how to win when it matters most and he is now moving on to the Finals of the King of the Zoo Tournament. Jim Cornette couldn’t be more proud of his client; he is one match away from becoming the inaugural Dynamo Pro Champion and then with that extra income Jim hopes that maybe he can afford to cut loose a couple of his more time-consuming clients.
Pre-Match: BURN IT DOWN! “Visionary” by Def Rebel plays. Seth “Freakin” Rollins is back and ready for this semi-final tournament match. Seth may have been busy when Eddie Kingston appeared earlier tonight, has he seen the state his next opponent is in? “Cold Blooded” plays and there is a slight delay before Eddie Kingston enters through the curtain. He looks very disheveled. Very spastic. He’s practically cramming a whole banana in his mouth as he barrels towards the ring. He turns to speak into the camera as he passes by but it sounds like mainly grunts and screeches.
Rollins opens with a forearm smash on Eddie Kingston who turns around and comes back with some rapid fire chops to the neck and a Sliding D. Kingston goes to stomp Rolins in the head but he dodges. Kingston hits more rapid fire chops and continues to choke Rollins with his boot. He’s being very rough with his opponent. The action goes back and forth. Rollins with a reverse STO into the turnbuckle but Kingston dodges a falling knee, more counters and reversals. What a match! Kingston rolls to the outside, Rollins follows, Kingston tries to hit Rollins with a banana but Seth ducks it and sends him back inside. Seth tosses him back through the ropes to the floor. Kingston does manage to cram a banana down Rollins throat and he’s gagging. Kingston runs and Rollins gives chase. As they are rounding one of the corners of the ring, Kingston has left a banana peel on the floor and Rollins slips on it sending him flying face first into the steel ring steps. Kingston at this point is in the middle of the ring, jumping up and down and making more strange noises. Rollins barely makes it in before the 10 count. Kingston hits his LARIAT but Rollins is still able to kick out. Kingston hits a backdrop driver before going up to the top rope and comes crashing down with a big splash off the top rope. Kingston hits another LARIAT and Backfist to the Future but Rollins gets a shoulder up. Kingston is jumping up and down, waving his arms, Rollins is scared and confused. Kingston hits another brutal LARIAT and this time his “Freakin” opponent is unable to kick out.
Post-Match: Kingston leaves his opponent lying in the ring. He doesn’t address the camera or even wait for the referee to raise his hand. As he walks back towards the entrance he seems to have developed an odd gait, he’s carrying himself differently now. Very strange. Upsetting loss for Seth “Freakin” Rollins but he certainly made quite the impact on his first night here in Dynamo Pro.
Backstage Promo: ReDragon, Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish are at the Dynamo Pro Interview Set. Kyle O’Reilly says they still want answers from Adam Page. Why is he doing this? Bobby Fish says they need answers, but The Texas Hangmen need to pay for what they did; for what they did to Dan the Dad and O’Reilly, but especially what they did to Bobby FIsh. Fish says he was kept in someone’s parents’ basement, fed Doritos and Mountain Dew all day long, and forced to watch NXT. “Do you know who Elektra Lopez is??? Cuz I do!!!” Kyle O’Reilly has to calm Bobby Fish down. O’Reilly adds, “Texas Hangmen, we want our rematch with you next week on the debut episode of “DP: Double Team!” and we won’t take ‘No’ for an answer.”
Pre-Match: “The Franchise” plays and it’s time for “The Octopus” Jonathan Gresham to make his final Dynamo Pro wrestling appearance. He was a sore loser when he fell to Claudio Castagnoli on the debut episode of The Zoo. Since then he has been dodging Dynamo Pro Commissioner Kurt Angle despite Angle’s offers to release him from his contract. Gresham enters alongside his Attorney Clarence Mason whom Gresham reached out to when Angle refused to break his contract. The crowd doesn’t much care for Mr. Gresham. “Medal” by Jim Johnston plays and Kurt Angle enters with his Attorney Stephen P. New. Stephen P. New is wearing Gresham’s discarded octopus head gear that he left in the parking lot on The Zoo. New is flexing and mocking Gresham and Angle holds up a magazine. Angle can be heard shouting to Jonathan Gresham, “You like the PWI Top 500, huh? Here’s the 2001 where I’m ranked #1. And I got a whole stack of them at home where I’m still ranked higher than you are!” Angle and Gresham get in the ring. Angle is ready to dominate and Jonathan Gresham is ready to get this over with and go home.
Gresham opens with an arm drag and missile drop kick to the knee. Gresham takes Angle into a wristlock a step-up enziguri, Gresham with an arm drag and these two are off to quite the start, what a sequence! Angle takes Gresham down with a shoulder tackle and snap suplex. Angle hits a brutal backbreaker and follows it up with a german suplex and goes for the pin but Gresham kicks out. Angle puts the ANKLE LOCK on The Octopus and Clarence Mason grabs his arm to get it to the ropes but Stephen P. New evens the playing field and takes out Clarence Mason! Gresham hits a shooting star press and goes for the pin and Angle barely kicks out. Gresham with a german suplex bridge and puts the OCTOPUS STRETCH on the Dynamo Pro Commissioner and Stephen P. New has no other option than to call for the bell which Clarence Mason on the outside is happily ringing. Ding ding ding ding ding.
Post-Match: Gresham doesn’t even wait for Referee Stephen P. New to raise his hand, he rolls out of the ring right past Clarence Mason and heads for the locker room. Kurt Angle has been stretched to his limit! Hopefully the Dynamo Pro Commissioner will be able to return to his daily duties very soon.
Backstage Segment: Kurt Angle is backstage in the medical offices at the arena getting checked out after his match with Gresham. Danhausen is lurking outside the medical offices looking very nice, very evil. His eyes shift around, apparently looking for witnesses, but ignoring the television camera that is 5 feet in front of his face. He reaches up and removes the sign that says “Medical Offices” and replaces it with a crudely scribbled name plate that says “MIKE PROTEIN.” Danhausen grabs the attention of the group of Japanese police officers that were here on Mr. Fuji’s behalf. Danhausen points to the sign and the group of officers begin shouting “Ergin! Ergin!” and they charge into the medical suite. They come out with Dynamo Pro Commissioner Kurt Angle in handcuffs while he’s protesting, “What? No! You got the wrong guy! I’m not Ergin! I’M NOT ERGIN!” Danhausen looks pleased with himself as he mumbles, “Goodbye Kurt Olympic.” What is he up to?
Pre-Match: We are graced with the presence of pro wrestling legend Lou Thesz to present the winner of the next match with the Dynamo Pro Championship belt. Thesz brings the belt out in a velvet bag and reveals it in the middle of the ring. What a prize! “Swiss Made” by CFO$ plays again and The Cult of Cornette comes out to the stage. The Swiss Superman is not taking this lightly and his manager Jim Cornette has dollar signs in his eyes. Claudio leads the train of Claudio, Corny, Khosrow, and Hotchkiss down to the ring and Claudio gets into the ring and awaits his opponent. In fact, we’re all very curious what state Eddie Kingston is going to be in. He’s been acting more and more strangely as the evening progresses. “Cold Blooded” plays and there is a long delay before anyone enters the stage. It appears to be Space Monkey and standing beside him is somebody dressed exactly like him, only larger. Both figures in space suits and space helmets stop at the top of the ramp. They remove their space helmets and it is indeed Space Monkey with Eddie Kingston! Kingston and Space Monkey are grunting and screeching back and forth with each other, apparently carrying on a conversation. Space Monkey hands Eddie Kingston a large posterboard sign and Kingston holds it up to the camera. It looks like it is supposed to be his new on screen name graphic and it reads: “MONKIE KINGSTON.” This is insane. Monkie Kingston gets into the ring with Claudio and appears ready to start the match. The referee checks both men for contraband, Claudio checks out but the referee keeps pulling bananas out of Kingston’s waist and sleeves. One of these men will be King of the Zoo and Dynamo Pro Champion.
Monkie Kingston slaps Claudio in the face. Claudio sends Kingston into the corner and hits multiple head butts before trying to end this early with a pin but Kingston kicks out. Kingston with a powerful lariat and yakuza kick but Castagnoli kicks out of an early pin. Monkie Kingston again tries to end things early with a LARIAT and Claudio is still too fresh. Kingston hops, monkey-like, up to the top rope but Claudio recovers and meets him there. Claudio wins the struggle and brings Monkie Kingston crashing down hard with a big superplex, Kingston screeching like a howler monkey on the way down. Claudio with an impressive lifting gut wrench on Kingston but Kingston slides to the outside and grunts back and forth with Space Monkey. Castagnoli and Cornette come at the duo from both sides and a wild brawl erupts, Claudio sends Kingston back inside and plants him with another gutwrench and a Very European Uppercut and Kingston kicks out of the pinning attempt. Another big uppercut rocks Kingston. Claudio hits a beautiful flying lariat and takes down the monkey man. Claudio takes it to Kingston some more. Claudio goes for another pin and Kingston barely kicks out. Claudio sends Kingston over the top rope to the outside but when Claudio follows him he starts getting beaten by Space Monkey and Kingston with a sack of bananas. Kingston sends him back in and chokes Claudio with his boot. Kingston hits another deathjump and Backfist to the Future and goes for another pin. Cornette jabs Kingston with his tennis racquet to break the pin. Castagnoli comes back on the offensive for a while. Kingston leaves the ring again, Claudio smashes him into the announcer’s table. He hits another backfist sending Castagnoli to the outside. Kingston screeches at the ref and assaults Claudio with a steel chair. Kingston up to the top rope again and Claudio tosses him off the top. Claudio capitalizes with the NEUTRALIZER and covers Monkie Kingston for the big pin and the big win.
Post-Match: Lou Thesz enters through the ropes and presents Claudio Castagnoli with the Dynamo Pro title belt as he is declared “the winner of the King of the Zoo Tournament and the NEEEEEEEEW Dynamo Pro Champion!” Claudio shakes Thesz’s hand and Jim Cornette is happy to shake hands with the legend. Corny has finally done it! He’s found his champion! “Hail to the King” by Avenged Sevenfold plays to honor the crowning of the first ever King of the Zoo, Claudio has reached the pinnacle. Now can he stay there? Claudio, Corny, Hotchkiss, and Khosrow celebrate in the ring as fireworks go off overhead. What a night for Claudio Castagnoli, and we haven’t forgotten about Monkie Kingston. What the hell is that all about? How long does Space Monkeypox last? Join us on truTV for The Zoo and don’t miss the debut of “DP: Double Team!” next week!

w/ Jim Cornette
vs.
Hangman Adam Page (1-0)
w/ The Texas Hangmen
Result: Claudio Castagnoli d. Adam Page by pinfall following NEUTRALIZER to advance in the King of the Zoo Tournament
KING OF THE ZOO TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Rohit Raju (1-1)
vs.
Danhausen (0-1)
w/ Larry Zbyszko
Result: Rohit Raju d. Danhausen by pinfall following neckbreaker and gourdbuster to advance in the King of the Zoo Tournament
KING OF THE ZOO TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Eddie Kingston (1-0)
vs.
Absolute Ricky Starks (3-0)
Result: Eddie Kingston d. Ricky Starks following LARIAT to advance in the King of the Zoo Tournament

KING OF THE ZOO TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Million Bitcoin Man Ted Dibiase (1-0)
vs.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins
Result: Seth Rollins d. Ted Dibiase by pinfall following CURB STOMP to advance in the King of the Zoo Tournament
Go Back to Japan, Go to Jail
Michael Elgin
vs.
Tokyo Monster Kahagas (0-3)
w/ Mr. Fuji
Result: Michael Elgin d. Tokyo Monster Kahagas by pinfall following SPINNING SIT-OUT POWERBOMB
KING OF THE ZOO TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINAL
Claudio Castagnoli (3-0)
w/ Jim Cornette
vs.
Rohit Raju (2-1)
Result: Claudio Castagnoli d. Rohit Raju by pinfall with schoolboy to advance to the finals of the King of the Zoo Tournament
KING OF THE ZOO TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINAL
Eddie Kingston (2-0)
vs.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins (1-0)
Result: Eddie Kingston d. Seth “Freakin” Rollins by pinfall following LARIAT to advance to the finals of the King of the Zoo Tournament
GRESHAM’S CONTRACT RELEASE
Jonathan Gresham (0-1)
vs.
Kurt Angle
Special Referees: Stephen P. New & Clarence Mason
Result: Jonathan Gresham d. Kurt Angle by submission with OCTOPUS STRETCH
KING OF THE ZOO TOURNAMENT FINAL
DYNAMO PRO CHAMPIONSHIP
Claudio Castagnoli (4-0)
w/ Jim Cornette
vs.
Monkie Kingston (3-0)
w/ Space Monkey
Result: Claudio Castagnoli d. Monkie Kingston to win the King of the Zoo Tournament and become the inaugural Dynamo Pro Champion
