LWF Legacy of Gold 1.1
The show opened with clips of Vader defeating Harley Race and Steve Williams at untelevised LWF All-Star Wrestling events, bringing his number of successful defenses of the LWF World Heavyweight championship up to 8 in this reign.
1. Don Leo Jonathan vs. Johnny Rodz
The Mormon Giant manhandled Rodz for the opening minutes. Rodz made a comeback but DLJ shut him down. Jonathan hoisted Rodz up in the Mormon Swing and covered the dizzy Rodz for the pin.
Winner - Don Leo Jonathan by pinfall
Vader and Jim Cornette were interviewed backstage by Bill Apter. Cornette ran his mouth for a few minutes, saying no one could beat Vader.
2. Buddy Rogers vs. Brickhouse Brown
Brickhouse got in some offense on the Nature Boy early on but Rogers turned things around and wore Brickhouse down with a choke hold. Rogers hit a piledriver for a two count and jawed at the referee about the slow count. Brickhouse made a comeback but Rogers rolled him up after a missed turnbuckle charge for a two count. Rogers locked on the figure four grapevine and Brickhouse quickly tapped out.
Winner - Buddy Rogers by submission
After the match, Rogers snatched the mic from Gary Michael Capetta and said he ended Vader’s record setting reign and he’d end the current one as well. Rogers challenged Vader for a shot at the Big Gold Belt at LWF Legacy of Gold Presents Bad to the Bone in just over two weeks.
3. PG-13 vs. Monsoon & Kowalski
Wolfie D and Killer Kowalski started the match. Wolfie D had the early advantage but Kowalski overwhelmed him with his power advantage.Kowalski tagged in Monsoon and Gorilla mauled Wolfie on the outside. Gorilla hit the Manchurian Landslide and tagged in Kowalski. Kowalski hit a big knee lift and Gorilla mauled J.C. Ice while the referee made the three count.
Winners - Monsoon & Kowalski by pinfall
4. Kurt Angle vs. George Tragos - LWF Continental Title match!
Angle and Tragos grappled back and forth. Angle got the upper hand and hit a big power bomb for a two count. Angle hit a German suplex but couldn’t follow up on it. Tragos and Angle battled outside the ring. Angle bashed Tragos against the ring post, drawing the DQ.
Winner - George Tragos by disqualification
After the match, Angle got in Tragos’ face and said he’d make him tap out the next time they wrestled. Tragos said he’d see Angle at Bad to the Bone.
