LWF Legacy of Gold Presents Maximum Destruction
1. Frank Gotch vs. Big Bully Busick
Busick bulldozed Gotch before the bell and wore him down with a bear hug. Busick hit the slingshot atomic drop for a two count. Gotch got some momentum going and locked on the crossface and armbar but Busick made it to the ropes. Gotch locked on the Gotch toehold for the win.
Winner - Frank Gotch by submission
2. The Fabulous Ones vs. The Moondogs
Lane and Spot started the match. The Moondogs double teamed Stan Lane in the opening minutes. Lane made a comeback and tossed Spot to the outside. Spot grabbed the bone from ringside and drilled Lane with it, busting him open and earning a DQ.
Winners - The Fabulous Ones by DQ.
The two teams brawled until security pulled them apart.
3. Gorilla Monsoon vs. Killer Kowalski
Kowalski had the upper hand early on but Gorilla took control and hit the Manchurian Landslide for a two count. Kowalski and Monsoon battled back and forth. Kowalski hit a jumping knee drop for a two count. Kowalski hit a bombs away and locked on the Kowalski Claw but Monsoon managed to break the hold. Kowalski hit another Bombs Away. Monsoon mounted a comeback but Kowalski regained control after a brawl on the outside. Kowalski hit another bombs away. Monsoon got some momentum going after rolling Kowalski up after a missed turnbuckle charge for a two count. Monsoon hit the Manchurian Landslide but Kowalski got his foot on the ropes. Monsoon power slammed Kowalski in the middle of the ring and hit the Manchurian Landslide a second time for the win.
Winner - Gorilla Monsoon by pinfall
Kowalski attacked Monsoon from behind as he was celebrating and put the boots to him before leaving the ring area.
4. Johnny Valentine vs. Kurt Angle - #1 contender match
Angle out grappled Valentine early on but Valentine knocked him senseless with a seres of chops and locked on the Sleeper. Angle escaped the hold and turned things around with a small package for a two count. Angle hit the Olympic Slam but it wasn’t enough to put Valentine away. Angle locked on the Ankle Lock but Valentine fought his way out of the hold. Angle hit the Olympic Slam a second time and pulled down the straps. Valentine rolled away but Angle suplexed him and hit a moonsault for a two count. Angle hit a big German Suplex and locked on the Ankle Lock in the middle of the ring. Valentine tapped out.
Winner - Kurt Angle by submission.
Rather than going to the back, Angle joined the broadcast booth on commentary. As the two teams made their way down to ringside, The Dynamite Kid and Angle exchanged dirty looks.
5. Bulldogs vs. Rich & Mantell - LWF World Tag Team title match
Davey and Dutch started the match. Davey and Dutch battled back and forth. Dutch got a two count with a backbreaker and tagged in Rich. Rich locked on the Wildfire Sleeper but Davey escaped the hold. Davey made the hot tag to Dynamite. Dynamite unloaded on Rich and hit a snap suplex for a two count. Dynamite hit a superplex and Dutch pulled Rich out the ring. Dynamite came out after him and all four men brawled around the ring area. Dutch went for his whip but Dynamite grabbed it and started going to town on Rich and Mantell. The referee had enough and called for the bell.
Winners - Tommy Rich and Dutch Mantell by disqualilfication
Security hit the ring and pulled the two teams apart. As the referees restored order, it was announced that on the next episode of LWF Legacy of Gold, Bob Backlund will be wrestling Gorilla Monsoon for the vacant LWF Continental title.
6. Vader vs. Abdullah - Falls Count Anywhere for the LWF World Heavyweight title
Abdullah dominated Vader early on, reopening the cut about Vader’s eye and gnawing on his forehead. Vader battled back and pummeled Abdullah. Abdullah rolled out of the ring and Vader went out after him. Abullah slammed Vader’s head into the ringpost and gouged him with the fork. Vader made a comeback and slammed Abdullah on a table. Vader suplexed Abdullah on the concrete and covered him for a two count. Vader rolled Abdullah back into the ring. Vader hit a Vader Bomb for a two count. Vader and Abdullah brawled all over the ring area. Adbullah got the upper hand and threw Vader back into the ring. Abdullah hit a brutal karate thrust to the throat, leaving Vader gasping for breath.The mastodon battled back and hit a power slam for a two count. Abdullah rolled out of the ring and Vader followed him. Abdullah blasted Vader with a chair and Vader went down. Abdullah covered him for a two count. Vader hit a low blow and blasted Abdullah with a chair. Both men were wearing the crimson mask. Vader rolled Abdullah back into the ring. Vader hit a power slam for the win.
Winner - Vader by pinfall, his eleventh successful defense of the LWF World Heavyweight tile
Angle took the mic and entered the ring. He got in Vader’s face and told him he’d be winning the belt from him in three weeks at War of the Titans. The show went off the air with security getting in between Angle and Vader.
