LWF Legacy of Gold 1.39 The show opened with a recap of last week’s show and announced that Henry Irslinger will take on Sputnik Monroe at LWF Legacy of Gold Presents Hell is for Heroes for the vacant LWF Continental Heavyweight title. It was also announced that Frank Gotch will be making his return at Hell is for Heroes but his opponent has yet to be determined.
1. William Muldoon vs. Kenny Jay Muldoon hit the hammerlock and half nelson right out of the gate, wearing Jay down. Muldoon locked on the back neck hold for the win.
Winner - William Muldoon by submission
2. Too Cool vs. The Varsity Club Christopher and Rotunda started the match. Rotunda took control and hit a Samoan Drop for a two count. Rotunda hit the Butterfly Suplex for a two count and tagged in Doc. Doc crushed Christopher with a lariat for a two count. Doc hit the Doctor Bomb for a two count. Doc hit the Oklahoma Stampede for the win.
Winners - The Varsity Club by pinfall
3. Don Curtis vs. Barry Windham Curtis had the momentum early on but Windham nailed him with a Lariat for a two count. Windham hit the Sweetwater Superplex for the win.

4. Hawk vs. Sgt. Slaughter Hawk and Slaughter battled back and forth. Hawk got some momentum going and hit a flying clothesline for a two count. Hawk hit a second clothesline but couldn’t put Slaughter away. Slaughter made a comeback and beat up Hawk on the outside. Hawk recovered and hit a third flying clothesline but still couldn’t put Slaughter away. Slaughter rolled out of the ring to regroup and Hawk came out after him. Slaughter ambushed Hawk and slammed him into the ring post. Slaughter rolled Hawk back into the ring and clamped on the Cobra Clutch but Hawk escaped the hold. Sarge manhandled Hawk into the middle of the ring and locked on the Cobra Clutch a second time for the win.

LWF Legacy of Gold 1.40 The show opened with a recap of last week’s show and announced Don Leo Jonathan & Dutch Savage vs. The Varsity Club has been added to LWF Legacy of Gold Presents Hell is for Heroes. It was also announced that the Gagne Cup, a 16 Man tournament honoring promoter Verne Gagne, will kick off next week with the winner receiving a shot at the LWF World Heavyweight title on the final big event of the year, LWF Legacy of Gold Presents End of Days.
1. Killer Kowalski vs. Tracy Smothers Kowalski tore into Smothers at the opening bell and locked on the Kowalski Claw but Smothers escaped the hold. Kowalski hit an overhead body slam for a two count. Smothers tried mounting a comeback but Kowalski shut him down and hit the jumping knee drop for the win.
Winner - Killer Kowalski by pinfall
2. American Males vs. The Bolsheviks Bagwell and Volkoff started the match. Bagwell and Volkoff battled back and forth. Volkoff rolled up Bagwell after a missed turnbuckle charge for a two count. Volkoff hit the throat Drop on the ropes for a two count and tagged in Zhukov. The Bolsheviks hit the Soviet Stomp for the win.
Winners - The Bolsheviks by pinfall
3. Stan Hansen vs. Thunderbolt Patterson Hansen had some momentum going early on but Thunderbolt rallied and nailed him with a head butt for a two count. T-Bolt hit a second head butt but Hansen kicked out. Thunderbolt hit two more head butts for a big win.
Winner - Thunderbolt Patterson by pinfall
4. Tommy Rich & Kurt Angle vs. Austin Idol & Johnny Valentine Rich and Valentine started the match. Valentine brutalized Rich in the corner and hit the atomic skullcrusher for a two count. Valentine hit a second atomic skullcrusher and tagged in Idol. Idol threw Rich to the outside and all hell broke loose. Rich smashed Idol with a chair, earning the DQ.
Winners - Idol & Valentine by DQ
The four men battled as the show went off the air.

Fun action going on in the Legacy, loved Windham winning over Curtis... Thanks for reading. I'm going to switch things up after this game year but I haven't quite figured out how. Three weeks between big events doesn't give me enough time for buildup.

LWF Legacy of Gold Presents Hell is for Heroes 1. Henry Irslinger Vs. Sputnik Monroe for the vacant LWF Continental Heavyweight title match Sputnik choked Irslinger down and hit a piledriver for a two count. Monroe hit his signature neckbreaker but Irslinger got his foot on the ropes. Monroe tortured Irslinger and tossed him to the outside. Irslinger made a comeback and slammed Monroe’s head into the press table. Irslinger rolled Sputnik back into the ring. Monroe shut down his comeback and hit the neckbreaker for the win.
Winner - Sputnik Monroe by pinfall. Monroe is the new LWF Continental Heavyweight champion
2. Don Leo Jonathan & Dutch Savage vs. The Varsity Club Jonathan and Rotunda started the match. Rotunda took control early and hit the butterfly suplex for a two count. Rotunda tagged in Doc. Doc and DLJ battled on the outside. DLJ gave Doc a two hand choke lift and dropped him into the crowd. The referee had enough and called for the bell.
Winners - The Varsity Club by DQ
3. Frank Gotch vs. Thunderbolt Patterson Gotch thumped Patterson in the eye at the opening bell, showing the crowd where he stood. Gotch took Patterson apart adn nearly got a submission with the crossface and armbar. Gotch locked on the Gotch toehold but Patterson made it to the ropes. Gotch dragged him into the middle of the ring and locked on the Gotch toehold a second time for the win.
Winner - Frank Gotch by submission
4. Rich & Dundee vs. Idol & Mantell - falls count anywhere Dundee and Idol started the match. Idol quickly had Dundee in trouble and locked on the Las Vegas Leglock but Dundee escaped the hold. Idol tagged in Mantell. Dutch hit the Double Dutch Clutch but Tommy Rich nailed Dutch with a chair. Dundee recovered and hit the superstar bomb on Dutch for a near fall. Dundee hit a second superstar bomb but Idol made the save. Dundee adn Dutch battled down the aisle to the concession stand and Dutch got the upper hand. Dutch dragged Dundee down the aisle and slammed him on the announce table. Dundee made a comeback and nailed Dutch with the whip. Dundee rolled Dutch back into the ring and tagged in Tommy Rich. Rich hit the Thesz Press but Dutch kicked out. Dutch made a comeback and tagged in Idol. Idol locked on the Las Vegas Leglock but Rich escaped the hold. Rich and Idol brawled on the outside and Rich took control, slamming Idol’s head in a door. Rich locked on the Wildfire Sleeper but Idol escaped the hold. Rich tagged in Dundee and Dundee hit the superstar bomb for the win.
Winners - Tommy Rich & Bill Dundee by pinfall
Idol and Mantell were shouting at each other after the match and were pulled apart by security.
5. Ken Shamrock vs. Billy Wicks Shamrock went after Wicks like a shark and got a two count with a huracanrana. Shamrock locked on the Ankle Lock and Wicks quickly tapped out.

6. The Road Warriors vs. Slaughter & Kernodle - LWF World Tag Team title match Animal and Kernodle started the match. Kernodle and Animal battled back and forth. Animal took control and the Road Warriors nailed Kernodle with the Doomsday Device but Slaughter made the save. The Road Warriors hit a double clothesline and Animal hit a Power Slam for a two count. Animal hit a second power slam but Kernodle got his shoulder up before the three count. The Road Warriors hit the Doomsday Device for the win.
Winner - The Road Warriors by pinfall, their second successful title defense
7. Kurt Angle vs. Johnny Valentine - Last Man Standing Match for the LWF World Heavyweight title Angle and Valentine started the match throwing bombs. Valentine nailed a big back suplex and Angle was in trouble. The match spilled out of the ring and Angle bounced Valentine’s head off the announce table and rolled him back into the ring. Angle and Valentine battled back and forth. Valentine knocked Angle senseless with a big chop. Valentine hit four Atomic Skullcrushers and Angle was in serious trouble. Angle turned things around and hit an Olympic Slam. Angle hit a big overhead belly to belly and Valentine was wobbling. Angle hit two more Olympic Slams. Angle hit a German Suplex but Valentine popped back up. Angle hit another German Suplex. Angle locked on the Ankle Lock but Valentine wouldn’t give up and escaped the hold. Angle hit another Olympic Slam. Valentine and Angle battled back and forth, each man nearly spent. Angle hit an overhead belly to belly and Valentine barely beat the count back to his feet. Angle went to the top rope but Valentine threw him to the mat. Valentine drilled Angle with an Atomic Skullcrusher but the champion fought his way back to his feet before the ten count. Valentine nailed Angle with another atomic skullcrusher and Angle failed to beat the count.
Winner - Johnny Valentine by stoppage. Johnny Valentine is the new LWF World Heavyweight champion!

I kept writing Gotch instead of Shamrock while I was writing it up. It's fixed now. I'm hoping Valentine is a long term champ. I might have to break the glass in the emergency case and bring in Inoki if the belt keeps being a hot potato.

LWF Legacy of Gold 1.41 The show opened with a recap of LWF Legacy of Gold Presents Hell is for Heroes and announced that the next big event, LWF Legacy of Gold Presents Stranglehold, will feature The Road Warriors defending the LWF World Tag Team titles against the Varsity Club and Johnny Valentine defending the LWF World Heavyweight title against Strangler Lewis. The remainder of the card will feature the four second round matches of the Gagne Cup.
It was also announced that two first round Gagne Cup matches will take place tonight: Sgt Slaughter vs. Jerry Brisco and Gorilla Monsoon vs. Kurt Angle!
1. Sputnik Monroe vs. Bill Dundee - LWF Continental Heavyweight title match Dundee and Monroe battled back and forth. Dundee locked on the Boston crab and it looked like Monroe would tap but he escaped the hold. Sputnik made a comeback and hit an atomic drop for a two count. Dundee rallied but Sputnik shut him down and hit the neckbreaker for the win.
Winner - Sputnik Monroe by pinfall, his first successful title defense.
2. Dutch Savage & DLJ vs. Rose & Somers Dutch Savage and Buddy Rose started the match. Rose got some momentum going and went to the top but Savage threw him to the mat and drilled him with the thumb to the throat. Savage hit the running piledriver but Somers made the save. Savage tagged in DLJ. Jonathan hit an atomic drop for a two count. The match spilled out of the ring and Rose nailed DLJ with the ring bell, earning the DQ.
Winners - Dutch Savage & Don Leo Jonathan by DQ
3. Sgt. Slaughter vs. Jerry Brisco - 1st round Gagne Cup match Slaughter overwhelmed Brisco and quickly locked on the Cobra Clutch but Brisco escaped the hold. Slaughter drilled Brisco with the Slaughter Cannon for a two count. Brisco rallied and hit the Oklahoma Sideroll for a two count. Slaughter made a comeback and nailed Brisco with the Slaughter Cannon for a two count. Slaughter hit a vertical suplex for a two count. Brisco made a comeback but Slaughter shut him down and hit a backbreaker for the win.
Winner - Sgt. Slaughter by pinfall to advance to the second round
4. Gorilla Monsoon Vs. Kurt Angle - 1st round Gagne Cup match Monsoon dominated Angle with his power advantage in the opening minutes but Angle exploded with a power bomb for a two count. Angle locked on the Ankle Lock but Monsoon kicked his way out of the hold. Angle dropped Gorilla on his head with a German Suplex for a two count. Angle hit a power bomb for the win.
Winner - Kurt Angle by pinfall to advance to the second round
After the match, Angle got on the mic and said just like he won the Olympic gold medal with a broken freakin’ neck, he’d outlast the rest of the wrestlers in the tournament and take home the Gagne trophy and win back his LWF World Heavyweight title match. It’s true, it’s damn true!
