LWF Legacy of Gold 1.42 The show opened with a recap of last week’s show and announced tonight’s Gagne Cup matches would be Tommy Rich vs. Austin Idol and Blackjack Mulligan vs. the returning Terry Gordy! It was also announced that a rematch between Don Leo Jonathan & Dutch Savage and Buddy Rose & Doug Somers has been signed for LWF Legacy of Gold Presents Stranglehold.
1. Sputnik Monroe Vs. Dutch Mantell - LWF Continental Heavyweight title match Sputnik and Dutch battled back and forth, neither man able to hold the advantage for long. Dutch hit a jumping knee drop for a two count. Sputnik and Dutch battled on the outside. Dutch nailed Sputnik with the whip, earning the DQ.
Winner - Sputnik Monroe by DQ, his second successful title defense
2. The Poffos vs. The Bolsheviks Angelo Poffo and NIkolai Volkoff started the match. Volkoff overpowered Angelo and hit the backbreaker, bringing in Lanny. Lanny shoved the ref trying to break the pin, earning the DQ.

3.Tommy Rich vs. Austin Idol - 1st round Gagne Cup match Rich and Idol battled back and forth. Idol rolled up Rich with a handful of tights for a two count. Rich made a comeback and hit a piledriver for a two count. Rich hit the Thesz Press for a two count. Idol took over after a brawl on the outside and wore Rich down with a sleeper hold. Idol locked on the Las Vegas Leglock but Rich escaped the hold. Rich battled back and hit the Thesz Press for a two count. Idol and Rich battled back and forth. Rich got the upper hand and hit the fist drop for the win.

4.Blackjack Mulligan vs. Terry Gordy - 1st round Gagne Cup match Gordy took the early advantage and nailed Mulligan with a lariat for a two count. The two big men battled back and forth. Gordy hit a back suplex for a two count. Gordy hit a Samoan Drop but Mulligan got his foot on the ropes. Gordy hit the Bamm Bamm Slam but it wasn’t enough to put Mulligan away. Gordy hit the power bomb for the win.

LWF Legacy of Gold 1.43 The show opened with a recap of last week’s show and announced tonight’s Gagne Cup matches would be Nick Bockwinkel vs.Stan Hansen and Frank Gotch vs. the returning Jack Brisco! 1. Sputnik Monroe Vs. Billy Wicks - LWF Continental title match Wicks had Monroe in trouble early on but Monroe recovered and hit an atomic drop for a two count. Wicks made a comeback but Monroe nailed him with a running knee lift for the win.
Winner - Sputnik Monroe by pinfall, his third successful title defense.
2. The Fabulous Ones vs. American Males Lane and Riggs started the match. The Fabs quickly took control and hit the double elbow smash for the win.

3.Nick Bockwinkel vs. Stan Hansen - 1st round Gagne Cup match Bockwinkel brought his A game into the match and quickly had Hansen locked in the Figure Four but the Lariat fought his way out of the hold. Bockwinkel and Hansen battled back and forth. Hansen finally seized an opportunity and nailed Bockwinkel with a big elbow drop for a two count. Hansen plowed Bockwinkel with the lariat but Bockwinkel got his foot on the ropes. Bockwinkel regained control and locked on the figure four but Hansen escaped the hold. Bockwinkel locked on the Bockwinkel Sleeper but Hansen fought his way out of the hold. Bockwinkel and Hansen battled on the outside. Hansen hit a piledriver on the concrete and Bockwinkel was nearly counted out. Bockwinkel made hit way back into the ring and ate another Lariat to take the loss.

4.Frank Gotch vs. Jack Brisco - 1st round Gagne Cup match Gotch and Brisco battled back and forth. Brisco got the upper hand and hit the rolling reverse cradle for a two count. Brisco grappled with Gotch and hit the rolling reverse cradle a second time for another near fall. Brisco hit a gutwrench backbreaker for a two count. Brisco rolled up Gotch with the rolling reverse cradle a third time for a two count. Brisco locked on the figure four for the submission victory

LWF Legacy of Gold 1.44 The show opened with a recap of last week’s show and announced tonight’s Gagne Cup matches would be Henry Irslinger vs.Ken Shamrock and Barry Windham vs. the returning Great Gama!
1. Dynamite Kid vs. Keith Steinborn Dynamite tore into Steinborn and quickly hit the diving head butt for the win.
Winner - Dynamite Kid by pinfall
After the match, Dynamite got on the mic and said Davey Boy had some family business to take care of so he’d be going solo for a while.
2. The Poffos vs. The Bolsheviks Lanny and Zhukov started the match. Zhukov dominated Lanny and hit the Soviet Stomp but Angelo Poffo made the save. Zhukov tagged in Volkoff. NIkolai hit the Backbreaker drop for the win.

3.Henry Irslinger vs. Ken Shamrock - 1st round Gagne Cup match Shamrock had the early advantage but Irslinger turned things around and hit the flying headlock for a two count. Irslinger focused his attack on Shamrock’s neck and hit another flying headlock for a near fall. Shamrock caught Irslinger with a small package for a two count. Shamrock locked on the rolling knee bar but Irslinger made it to the ropes. Shamrock locked on the Ankle Lock but was too close to the ropes. Shamrock locked on the rolling knee bar a second time but Irslinger escaped the hold. Shamrock locked on the Ankle Lock and Irslinger tapped out.

4.Barry Windham vs. Great Gama - 1st round Gagne Cup match Windham and Gama battled back and forth. WIndham was unintimidated and took the fight to the Great one, nailing him with a Lariat for a two count. Gama took control of the match and hit the Gama Throw for a two count. Gama hit a second Gama throw for a two count. Windham rallied but couldn’t get any momentum going. Gama hit a gut wrench throw for a two count. Gama hit another Gama throw but Windham kicked out. Gama hit another Gama Throw for the win.

LWF Legacy of Gold Presents Stranglehold 1. DLJ & Dutch Savage vs. Rose & Somers DLJ and Somers started the match. DLJ bulldozed Somers and hit the rolling backsplash for a two count. DLJ tagged in Savage. Savage hit the running piledriver but Rose put Somers foot on the ropes before the three count. Savage nailed Somers with a double axe handle for the win.
Winners - DLJ & Dutch Savage by pinfall.
After the match, Dutch Savage got on the mic and challenged the winners of tonight’s tag team title match.
2. Jack Brisco vs. Sgt. Slaughter - 2nd round Gagne Cup match Brisco got some momentum going early on and rolled Slaughter up with the rolling reverse cradle for a two count. Slaughter battled back and hit a gutbuster for a near fall. Slaughter and Brisco battled back and forth. Slaughter hit another gutbuster for a two count. Slaughter locked on the Cobra Clutch but Brisco escaped the hold. Slaugher and Brisco battled on the outside. Slaughter hit the Slaughter Cannon on the floor and Brisco failed to beat the count back into the ring.
Winner - Sgt. Slaughter by countout to advance to the third round
3. Tommy Rich vs. Stan Hansen - 2nd round Gagne Cup match Rich and Hansen battled back and forth. Hansen nailed Rich with the Lariat for a two count. Rich made a comeback and nailed Hansen with the right uppercut for a two count. Rich hit the Thesz Press for a two count. Hansen and Rich battled back and forth. Rich caught Hansen with another Thesz Press for a two count. Rich hit a big vertical suplex and made the cover but Hansen got his foot on the ropes. Rich hit two more Thesz presses but couldn’t put Hansen away. Rich whipped Hansen to the buckles and Hansen nailed him with a football tackle for a two count. Hansen plowed Rich with the lariat for the win.

4. Kurt Angle vs. Ken Shamrock- 2nd round Gagne Cup match Shamrock and Angle battled back and forth. Angle got the upperhand and hit the Olympic Slam for a quick win.

5. Terry Gordy vs. Great Gama - 2nd round Gagne Cup match Gordy quickly bulled Gama out of the ring and the two men battled on the floor. Gordy rolled Gama back into the ring and Gama took control of the match, hitting the Gama Throw for a two count. Gama hit a second Gama Throw for the win.
Winner - Great Gama by pinfall to advance to the third round
6. The Road Warriors Vs. The Varsity Club - LWF World Tag Team title match Hawk and Rotunda started the match. Rotunda dominated Hawk and hit a butterfly suplex for a two count. Rotunda tagged in Williams. Hawk battled back and made the tag to Animal. Animal and Williams battled on the outside. The referee herded the big men back into the ring and Animal hit a power slam for a two count. The Road Warriors hit the Doomsday Device for the win.

7. Johnny Valentine Vs. Strangler Lewis - LWF World Heavyweight title match Lewis controlled the match early on but couldn’t get Valentine on the mat. Valentine tool control and locked on the sleeper but Lewis escaped the hold. Valentien threw Lewis to the outside and slammed him into the guardrail and the referee called for the bell.
Winner - Strangler Lewis by disqualification, Johnny Valentine’s first title defense.
The crowd booed and Johnny Valentine took the mic. He said he didn’t come here to not knock out Lewis with the atomic skullcrusher and told the referee to restart the match. Lewis nodded in agreement and the referee called for the bell.
8. Johnny Valentine Vs. Strangler Lewis - LWF World Heavyweight title match Valentine and Lewis battled back and forth. Valentine got the advantage and nailed Lewis with the atomic skullcrusher for a two count. Valentine hit a second atomic skullcrusher but Lewis was able to kick out. Valentine hit a third atomic skullcrusher and Lewis got his foot on the ropes. Valentine hit the atomic skullcrusher for a fourth time but Lewis managed to get his shoulder up. Valentine hit the atomic skullcrusher for the fifth time to put Lewis away.
Winner - Johnny Valentine by pinfall, his second successful title defense.
The referee handed Valentine the belt and Dynamite Kid jumped out of the crowd and attacked Valentine from behind! Dynamite snap suplexed Valentine and nailed him with the diving head butt. Security stormed the ring as the show went off the air.
