Great as always. Hoping to make it back to the HOF next year. Nice little tidbit about Harker Dirge. Very cool to hear about Trish and how awesome she is.

Fascinating.
This was once again a real fun weekend. The Filsinger crew represented yet again at the bar trivia. Last year we took second, this year with the addition of the big brains we got the top prize. I think we all got excited when the big points question had to do with the AWA. Like how could we lose? And hopefully none of us will never forget Austin drove a COORS truck on that fateful evening on RAW!
The "Filsinger Games Tournament" on Friday kind of turned into a game demo with the experienced players walking new players through the game. We all paired off with a novice player and helped them learn. Which I enjoyed. And I think a few starter sets were sold that way, so hopefully we got a new player out two out of the deal. I did cringe when I saw the finals and knew Brody and Backlund both have (ch C) on the four spot on level 2 offense. Knowing their power and agility ratings I figured that would cause a real stalemate, and it did.
The IPW show was interesting. It was fun to see how some of the younger talent had improved year over year since I saw them at last year's show there. The Hale twins had definitely gotten better and I think Bryce Jordan has all the tools to make a name for himself on the current indie scene if he goes for it. I kind of figured we weren't seeing the "Diss That Don't Miss" out of 2 Cold at this point, but I was impressed that he still has a smooth moonsault. That's a seriously underrated veteran who knows how to make the most out of everything. And of course that all time classic theme song. Really, too many things to mention here, but shout out to Death Dealer for getting that big body airborne on the dive to the floor. Justin Decent was having none of that stereo dive business, which made a cute little spot.
What I had not realized until late in the weekend is that Trish Stratus was trying to do all of this stuff for the hall of fame while she was being followed and dragged around by producers and a camera crew for, I believe, something WWE is doing with A&E (and correct me if I'm wrong, but I asked someone what was up with all the cameras and the producer acting dude and that's what I was told). So her time was literally not her own probably 90 percent of the weekend and she was still nice to everyone she met. Jim Ross' speech was something else. He had the emotional spots, but the veteran broadcaster in him came out and he ended up on a high note. Mike Rotunda gave a great speech, B Brian told the requisite Spivey/Adonis fight story on behalf of the Golden Boy, and Dick Bourne was very humble and well spoken, but I sure wish he'd have brought some books for me to buy.
The bar after the Hall Of Fame ceremony was a lot of fun. Maybe a little wild. Probably a few intentional memory gaps for a few of us. I have a Filsinger crew group photo on my phone that I had Todd send over to me (and may or may not have had Todd text over to Tom) that is a classic. And as for Mr Connor, I had a feeling he as in trouble late in the evening when a certain bad surrogate older sister from the IPW ladies' roster was showing him how to shotgun beers in the hotel room after we left the bar.
I'll be going in for the lifetime Hall membership this year and plan on being back next year. It's really the best value for a great weekend for a great cause.

Cory never makes bad decisions - ever. Decisions are only bad if you can remember them. 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for the great recap, for attending the weekend, and for bringing a friend this year! Dick Bourne was great. I encouraged him to bring books to sell, but he didn't mess with that. So, I would ask everyone to go on his Mid-Atlantic Gateway site (http://www.midatlanticgateway.com/p/book-store.html) and purchase a book or too. His books about the title belts are fascinating! I feel like I'm a little to blame on the Death Dealer Dive, because a few years ago, when he wrestled under a different identity, he was wrestling against Malice. He asked me if there was anything special I wanted to see. I jokingly said, "how about a dive?" He did it that night and often does one on the HOF shows. Good to know about Connor and who I'm assuming is Ms. Frankie Jay!

Highly entertaining episode, gentlemen... I'm actually listening to this one for a second time because there was just so much being talked about and I want to make certain that I didn't miss anything... Thoroughly enjoyed all the stories surrounding a very eventful HOF weekend... And let me just say this -- I am TOTALLY turning James Jeffries heel in my IPW fed as soon as the opportunity presents itself... Maybe I can have him join forces with Deva to start the Midwest version of the New Vibe! I'm certain that stu would be onboard... Good times!
