We're back with a mammoth episode that includes the full Tom Filsinger interview from GalactiCon 2022. Hear Tom's musings about his process, the new characters in 2138, and what's next for the GWF & Filsinger Games. Plus, we've got lots of thoughts about WWE's seemingly new direction, if AEW should be worried, and some more odds and sods to wrap a bow around this epic. Interesting stuff. Canβt see Omega as a baby face after his run there with his buddy Don.

Finished up and really enjoyed this entire episode even though I often find myself having different perspectives and opinions on AEW/WWE and all that comes with it.
Good show, guys.

Interesting take on the WWE there Sam. It says something when you actually take a gut check and have to ask yourself 'Am I enjoying this?' Kinda speaks volumes to concept of sunk cost theory if you feel you 'have to' keep watch regardless.

Looking forward to the episode guys! I for one am hoping WWE continues on its current trek....heck, I want ALL wrestling promotions to do well! The more wrestling (that's good at least), the better!
Haven't listened yet, so you may say this, but Sam, hope you're feeling better sir!

Looking forward to the episode guys! I for one am hoping WWE continues on its current trek....heck, I want ALL wrestling promotions to do well! The more wrestling (that's good at least), the better! Finished listening last night and wanted to echo this sentiment... I think a lot of wrestling fans are preprogrammed to either like or dislike WWE without even paying attention to its content... And this attitude seems to encompass other companies as well (including, but not limited to AEW)... I will be the first to admit that I'm guilty of this exact thing... I became so tired of certain aspects of WWE programming that I never gave them credit for what they were doing right... A new regime taking control should result in a positive change for the entire industry as some healthy competition should elevate the quality of what fans get to see all across the board... Here's hoping this is the case!

I finished listening to this episode today. I am looking forward to reading Sam's new LOW fed results on the board. I also currently have Dan Severn as a heel in my LOW fed. I will need to check out that PNW book by Steven Verrier who I see has also written some other wrestling books including one about Gene Kiniski.
I enjoyed listening to Mike talk about Centra and I am looking forward to the next Centra set whenever it gets released.
Speaking of Mike, I agree with him about his thoughts about ROH titles in AEW whose roster I think in some ways is sort of disorganized/cluttered at the moment. I think something will happen this Fall with ROH though in regards to roster management as it has been announced that there will soon be a revamping of Honor Club.
My thoughts on Summerslam was that it turned out to be really good overall especially compared to what it looked like on paper (mostly recent rematches.) After a great opening match, it was awesome to see Bayley (one of my favorites) return and I like her new faction with Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky. I liked the way they booked the finish between Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey as it allowed Rousey to remain looking strong despite taking the controversial loss. The main event had me on my feet (and that is very rare for a WWE match) and I loved the ending with Roman Reigns standing on top of all that ringside debris in an iconic poster-like pose to finally keep Brock Lesnar down. As I have mentioned elsewhere that ending was far better compared to how John Cena once won his last man standing match against Batista simply by taping him to the ring post. I did think the Summerslam rematch between the Usos and Street Profits was not as good as their Money in the Bank match that I attended live in Las Vegas last month, but for the most part this was a damn good show.
I also enjoyed hearing Tom talk about 2138. I heard some of this conversation at Galacticon but I was glad to hear it again as the acoustics in that hotel room in Chicago were not the best and I heard it better through this posted podcast versus live.
