Leon's GWF 2087+

[Leon]

Year 2087. Thantos' shattering of the Galaxian Code not only split the GWF, it also wiped all federation records from existence: everything from match records archived on the GWF's internal servers to holovid clips stored on the nebula (a more advanced tech than the current "cloud" we normal Earthers use). While the current GWF "villains" are probably the prime suspects, this loss impacted them as well. Current Galaxian Champion, Thantos, and Galaxian Tag Team Champions, Gladiators of Aethra, lost the holographic NFTs linked to their belts which turned them into nothing more than worthless pieces of leather and metal.

To rebuild the records, there was only one thing to do: establish all match records from scratch.

And so Galaxian reCode 1 through 6 were held and fought: for six nights each of the 24 current wrestlers of the GWF will fight in 6 matches against a randomly determined wrestler. No special rules, no title changes.

The Galaxian reCode: Tag Team Edition was also scheduled for the 4 currently registered tag teams, scheduled in 3 round-robin matches each:

• Greek Gods: Actagon & Brute
• Killer Queen & Vanity
• Neptunian Space-Croppers: Beast-Rider & Renegade

Notes: Just an initial post. I'm new to Champions of the Galaxy, though I've seen and salivated at the ads in various wrestling magazines back in the '90s. I didn't have the means back then to order and have it shipped here in the Philippines, and I only remembered about it recently. Better late than never, right?

Massacre had trouble pinning Neptunian down before he resorted to his ol' reliable finisher (after an overhead slam, a neckbreaker, and even a Gladiator Piledriver)

Brute vs. Executioner
Brute defeated Executioner; counted out of the ring at 19:32

This was the longest fight on this card, and yet probably also the most unsatisfying. Almost as if the two staged it to troll the crowds.

Thantos vs. Star Warrior
Thantos defeated Star Warrior with a MASTERLOCK at 4:46

I had high hopes for Omega's boy, but like this match, his run in the rest of the ReCode cards will be plagued with bad luck. It's not that he didn't put up much of a fight here, as he did manage to attempt two pinfalls on Thantos, one with a cross body block and another with his NOVA LAUNCH finisher. Thantos also had to apply MASTERLOCK a second time before Star Warrior was finally subdued.

The GRECIAN SLEEPER GRIP is a powerful finisher and will be put to good use by Actagon in future matches, both here in the singles placement as well as in the tag team matches.

Commander Sam took the initial offensive and did not let up, giving Pit Viper little opportunity to mount a counteroffensive.

Beast-Rider vs. Omega
Beast-Rider defeated Omega with a BULLDOG RIDE at 7:12

You can see Omega trying his best here, even causing a couple of pinfall attempts at Beast-Rider with his Cosmic War Dance. He stumbled near the end though and that caused him this match.

I realize I could have added more teams, maybe have both of the three-man teams (Flying Titans & Society of Death) send 2 of their number as representatives? Although currently their feuds would already be with the same three-man team as well, so it feels redundant. I'll just keep them as sort of solo wrestlers for now who sometimes accompany their team mate during a match. I'll definitely add a three-man just for their feud in major cards also.

• There's a quarter-ending Supercard at the end of match called "GWF reArmed 2087" and this will be the first card where title matches feature for the currently-empty GWF Championship as well as the Tag Team Championshop belts
• The next four weekly cards (GWF reVibe 2087-1 through 2087-4) will be building up to this big event.
