Greg Gagne worked Madison Square Garden a time or two. That doesn't qualify him as Northeast to me, but others may be more lenient.

I am now caught up on Uncharted Territory as I finished listening to this episode today.
I really enjoyed Superstar Pro Wrestling. I remember first seeing the advertisement for this game at the same time I also first saw an advertisement for COTG in one of the wrestling magazines I was reading in the 1980s. I don't think I still have this game anymore though after many moves (I have moved 7 times here in Las Vegas) unless it is still somewhere in storage at my parents' house in Seattle. Maybe I will ask them to look for it and if they find it bring it to me when they come to Las Vegas for their annual Thanksgiving trip which always coincides with their Anniversary weekend. I think I got the Deluxe set? It was the set with about 60 cards that you had to fill in the names of the wrestlers. I also got a couple of sets that came out afterward.
The game gave me countless hours of enjoyment, but I always thought that COTG had the better gameplay.
I remember when the NWA set was released that I did some bootlegs to add to that roster as I wanted to include some names such as Lex Luger and the Sheepherders. This podcast brought back some great memories but again I still prefer Filsinger Games over Superstar Pro Wrestling.

Finally finished this one today and it was a super fun episode.
I too ordered Superstar Pro before FG and played the heck out of it. My wrestling world was so sheltered though I could only decipher the WWF guys and even then I’m sure I got some of them wrong. Over the years I’ve picked up a few different versions on eBay (actual versions not from that guy who sells bootleg sets). Haven’t had the time to sit down with them yet.
Anyway, great show.

I remember playing Superstar Pro back in the day, but I just couldn't get over constantly comparing it to the play style of the streamlined Strat-O-Matic games and just not having 'fun' with keeping track of the points as they tallied up. Just wanted a cleaner play experience and low and behold CotG came along.

Chad casually mentioning that he was watching a match between Rick Martel and Tito Santana vs The High Flyers. Recreational viewing or cause for speculation? 🤔 Just recreational viewing, but I wondered if that would cause speculation! Sometimes I do take time to just watch a match to have fun. It's not always about creating cards stats!

It's not always about creating cards stats! Chad, watching wrestling for fun, who has time for that!?!? I mean I figure the first Martel won’t be a Strike Force or Can Am Connection tag team but an AWA World Champ level card, with four finishers, and a 3(0) pin rating with a RICK MARTEL - 2 reversal on Level 3 Defense.

Oh could you imagine if he had the stats layout of something similar to Monolith's reversal on Level 3? May he's not 'The Model', but 'The Monolith' Rick Martel.

Thankfully it's not just what Chad wants when it comes to stats.
