I never got into Superstar PRO until the official NWA edition came out. I got that and made a lot cards of the NWA 89-90 roster cards. Still have them, this podcast kind of makes me want to break them out and see how my Norman the Lunatic card stacks up against Flyin Brian. Someone has cornered the market on this and the Superstar Wrestling (no PRO) on ebay with a ton of listings of reprints of the older sets and some newer stuff up until it looks like 2010. I'd be half interested but he's still trying to get 20 bucks a set or up. With a printer, an easy made template, and a few minutes of internet searching I suspect I could just find the stats and print my own cards. They would be every bit as legitimate as his bootlegs!

Let me just say (again!) that I am SO EXCITED that Jeremy Wyatt has arrived... IPW ReBorn will never be the same!

Listening to this inspired me to check out the PC version. Seems like just the thing to do quick, dirty cards with!

Argh! Pro Wrestling Superstar is not available to Macs with an M1 chip... Alas.
Great episode, gents. Stu, you were spot on with the ruminations on Totally Awesome. Hope folks enjoy the new chapter of the story. Working right up to the deadline to try to get things "right". Couple of tricky bits writing-wise on this one at least for me.
Anyway, very cool to hear about Superstar Pro. I've not played it and only had a very basic - if that - knowledge about the game. Would definitely like to give it a try at some point.

This was an interesting episode. I vaguely remember seeing ads for this, but in mind, the idea of a dude who could shoot fire out of his head (Blazing Skull), an Asian guy who looked like Bruce Lee (Rising Sun) and a guy shooting flames out of his hand (Bishop Hell) was too much to pass up, as at the time, I had middling excitement about both the WWF and WCW. I was still hurt, on the inside, by the way the WWF treated Rick Rude in 1990, and his inability to wrestle in the WWF in 1997, hurt me on the inside as well. He was my absolute favorite after Eddie Gilbert, and both were gone by 2000. Oof.

Chad casually mentioning that he was watching a match between Rick Martel and Tito Santana vs The High Flyers. Recreational viewing or cause for speculation? 🤔

I remember winning this game as part of a Loser Advances tournament. Good times.

Recreational viewing or cause for speculation? 🤔 Greg Gagne! 😉 Considering the next set is a Northeast set, I would lean the speculation more toward Santana or Martel... Tito is near the top of my "want" list, so I'm crossing my fingers! (I would also love an AWA era Martel... but I'm not a fan of the "Model")
